He found it in abundance in such pagan concepts as “the German spirit” and “honor in battle”. He saw monotheistic religions as beliefs that must be “ruined with dynamite” but, for political reasons, he acted more moderately.

The Nazi hatred for Jews was a part of this anti-Theistic ideology. Nazis who despised Christianity saw it as a “Jewish plot. ” That Jesus Christ, a prophet of Israeli origin, should be loved and revered by Germans, who regarded themselves as the “master race”, was for them unthinkable. After the ordeals and trials of the much-concluded Spanish Grand Prix, BMW Sauber is aiming for a fault-free Monaco race. The team believes they have remedied the issues which caused Nick Heidfeld’s early retirement in Barcelona especially those which resulted to his bungled pit stop.

At last week’s French test the BMW Sauber has looked promising around Paul Ricard’s 2D SC configuration, especially designed to imitate the twists and turns of Monaco. BMW Sauber covered over 250 laps of this shortened version of the track, with tester Timo Glock clocking the eighth-fastest time on Tuesday and Kubica finishing fourth on Wednesday.

The F1. 07 has experienced extensive aerodynamic modifications for the high-downforce Monte Carlo race and will also feature a new front axle designed specifically to cope with the street circuit’s unusually tight corners. The team’s pool of engineers did not only focus on the BMW catalytic converter but also on crucial auto parts as well. Another plus for the German-Swiss team is that both cars will be fitted with fresh and powerful V8s. The engines are deemed a bonus for Monaco which is deemed as one of the most demanding circuits on lower rev range.

BMW Sauber is currently on the third place in the constructors’ standings on 23 points, 26 behind second-placed Ferrari, and 12 ahead of Renault, its nearest rival.

Another confident Formula One team is Toyota. The Japanese racing team is expecting a return to form in next weekend’s Monaco Grand Prix. After a disappointing start to the season, Toyota is hopeful that recent revisions to the TF107 will allow them to add to their current tally of just five points. The bunch of car revisions was already at the last round in Barcelona, where neither Ralf Schumacher nor Jarno Trulli finished.

“Our car has improved, even if that was not clear from my results in qualifying or the race, but we still have work to do and we will be pushing hard for a better result in Monaco,” said Schumacher. Trulli added, “We were strong in qualifying and it was particularly encouraging to see we had the same fuel strategy as the leading cars, so performance-wise we have made a step forward. If we can get back to the reliability we showed at the start of the season, Monaco should be a positive weekend for us. ”

“The factors that determine performance in Monaco are completely different to all other races,” commented Pascal Vasselon, the team’s senior general chassis manager. “Engine power and aerodynamics are slightly less vital in Monaco than elsewhere so you are left with tyres and drivers as the key factors. ”

Vasselon added, “In Spain the new aero package worked well, it gave us two or three extra tenths as expected,” he added. “We were not able to demonstrate this clearly in the race but Jarno’s lap in qualifying showed we have made an improvement, especially when you consider we had a similar fuel strategy to the front cars. In Monaco we have to show this in the race and get back into the points. ”

Separately, the weekend of the Monaco race will offer an extra logistical test for Formula One tyre suppliers Bridgestone. “You need as much grip as possible and teams will run their cars with a maximum downforce set-up,” clarified Kees van de Grint, Bridgestone’s head of track engineering operations. “Traction is crucial with acceleration out of so many corners, but you have to be careful as understeer is not desirable with so much Armco about. ”

Bridgestone will be bringing 2,200 Bridgestone Potenza Formula One tyres and 650 Bridgestone Potenza GP2 Series tyres to the event. The weight of the tyres brought for Formula One racing alone amounts to 22,000 kilogrammes. Additionally, there are eight fitting machines and eight balancing machines which are used to fit and balance the tyres to the rims delivered by the teams.

“In times of competition it was very hard with the timetable the way it is in Monaco,” stressed van de Grint. “You would make your conclusions from running on the track on Thursday, but then the circuit could be very different when you next ran on it on Saturday. This year it is not so hard, but this is one track which certainly rewards those drivers with experience and excellent judgement. ”

He added, “Monaco is not as hard as it could be in terms of logistics. It is a street circuit so of course it is different from operating out of a purpose built facility but we have a excellent position and everything seems to work well. Of course there is a greater distance between the motorhome and the fitting area than in other places, but the sacrifice of a longer walk is worth it when you are in a destination as fabulous as Monaco. ”

Like the United States, Argentina is a country of immigrants.

Although the majority of them came from Europe in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, today it is the destination for many Bolivians, Peruvians, and Paraguayans. For many immigrant groups, Buenos Aires is like New York City – a place of opportunity and a chance to improve their living conditions.

But the reality is radically different, and what many find upon arrival are prejudice, low-paying jobs, and inequality.  Last week’s film festival, CineMigrante, aims to change that by providing a place for discussion about immigrants’ rights in the South American country.

The festival, which started on September 22nd, is the first one of its kind in Buenos Aires. During the past week, 53 films from over 30 countries will be screened to show different points of view about immigration to and from countries such as Argentina, France, the US, and China.

Two Spanish films, “Miente (Lie)” and “El viaje de Said (Said’s Journey),” which won Goya awards for Best Small Films in fiction and animation respectively, are the highlights of the festival along with presentations by representatives from Unicef and Caref. Javier de Lucas, the director of the Institute of Human Rights at the University of Valencia, will also hold a conference on how to combat racism and xenophobia across the globe.

And the festival comes to Buenos Aires at a critical time. Prejudice against immigrants from surrounding South American countries has been sky-high throughout the past decade. This is partly due to the economic crisis of 2001 as many Argentines blamed both legal and illegal immigrants for their unemployment and other economic troubles.

As a result, violence against many immigrants around the country started to increase. In the same year, a Bolivian woman, Marcelina Meneses and her 10 month ancient son were pushed off of a train and left for dead on the side of the tracks. The only witness to come forward said the push did not kill Meneses instantly, yet nobody came to help her. The police did not even say her family until 8 hours later.

Meneses sister-in-law, Reina Torrez, still believes Meneses was killed because of racial discrimination. Bolivia has a larger segment of Indigenous peoples in its population, and Torrez is convinced that the color of her skin and her nationality is what caused such violence.

But Meneses’ death brought Torrez to action. She founded a group called Yana Pacuna, which means “let’s help each other” in Quechua, an indigenous language spoken in the Andes. The organization helps Bolivians learn their rights and aids them in getting the proper documentation to live and work in Argentina.

Yet many Bolivians and other immigrants are still exploited today. Even though the government has taken formal measures to eliminate racial discrimination throughout the last decade, it has not had fantastic success in changing public opinion.

Most Argentines still perceive the country to be predominantly white, and many look down upon immigrants, based on the color of their skin, who come from an Indigenous background. Although violence is not as common as a few years ago, the prejudices are still very much alive, especially through discriminatory words that have crept into and persist in the colloquial language.

The way to change the situation may be through discussion and CineMigrante promises to be a means to reach out to the people in a way the government has not been able to.

Quentin Tarantino recently attended the European Grand Prix at the Nurburgring. When questioned for his thoughts on racing, Tarantino said, “”I like all this pageantry that happens beforehand. The guys are trying to get ready to do a race, but then they have all this carnival just before their do-or-die time. ”
While the Grand Prix hasn’t had a serious accident in years, the event certainly does get some of its allure from the danger of racing on narrow streets with tight turns and changing elevations.
The race is held each year on the Circuit de Monaco, which consists of the city streets of Monte Carlo and La Condamine and includes the well-known harbour. It takes six weeks to build the circuit and three weeks after the event to tear it down.
Only two drivers in the history of the race have ever crashed into the harbour, with the most well-known of the two being Alberto Ascari in 1955. Ascari survived the crash into the water after missing a chicane. The other driver, Paul Hawkins of Australia, finished up in the water in 1965. Hawkins crashed his Lotus and flew over the wall, after which he swam away from the accident to safety.
The race was founded in 1929 by Anthony Noghes, with the permission of Prince Louis II and sponsorship from the Automobile Club de Monaco. It has become one of the most vital races in the world, alongside the Indianapolis 500 and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The three races are collectively known as the Triple Crown.

Taking the world of motor racing by storm, new British F1 driver Lewis Hamilton has achieved a new record with seven podium finishes in a row.
The a 22-year-ancient, finished on the podium in third place in his first Grand Prix in Melbourne, Australia, and then second in the Malaysian Grand Prix just two weeks later. Since then he has gone on to win both North American Grand Prix, in Canada and the US.
He may seem to be an overnight sensation, but Lewis has worked his way into the Formula One racing world since he was a mere youngster.
In an nearly unbelievable stroke of luck, young eleven-year-ancient Lewis participated in, and won, the McLaren Mercedes Champions of the Future series in 1996 and met Ron Dennis, owner and director of the McLaren Formula One racing team. The introduction proved fortuitous for the youngster, who told Dennis that his goal was to race the Formula One circuit. A mere two years later, McLaren signed Lewis Hamilton to his ‘McLaren Driver Development Support’ program. The document served to make Lewis, at thirteen years ancient, the youngest driver in the world to have held an F1 racing contract.
As Lewis became more experienced and participated in pre-Formula One races, he distinguished himself with his dedication and gusto. The boy with the impish smile is still smiling as he poses for publicity shots at various pre-Formula One racing venues in which he has raced, including 2005′s F3 Euro series, which he finished with 15 victories and 13 pole positions.
Lewis spent years racing go-karts and participating in Junior Formula One racing events, including the 2001 British F1 Renault winter series and the 2002 Formula Renault UK, as well as races in Macau and Korea’s Grand Prix races. In 2005, Autosport magazine ranked Lewis 24th among their top 50 drivers.
As he has worked his way up the ranks, Lewis quick earned a reputation as an extremely gifted driver with the flair for daring racing maneuvers that reminds many of the ‘ancient timers’, who maintained top speeds and risky moves as they raced various courses around the world. His star seems to be rising as quick and surely as one of the the first black Formula One racecar drivers in the world.
