Enter rest

Hebrews

[1] we are worried, worried, a promise he has left us in his rest, any of you seem to have come too late. [2] Why is the gospel preached to us and for them, but the word preached did their benefit, not of faith among those who heard it. [3] For those who have believed enter that rest, as he says, as I swore in my wrath, if you enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. [4] For he says in a certain place on the seventh day in this way, And God rested on the seventh day from all his work. [5] And in this new place, did not enter my rest. [6] And therefore he must escape certain to enter, and those who first preached was not entered because of unbelief: [7] Once again, limiteth a day David saying, one day after such a long time, as they say, the day when you hear his voice, harden not your hearts. [8] Indeed, if Jesus had given them rest, not to speak later on another day. [9] There remains a rest for the people of God. [10] For one who has entered His rest has also rested from his works as God did from his. [11] we then enter into that rest, lest anyone fall after the same example of disobedience. [12] For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the soul and spirit, joints and marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intents of the heart . [13] There is no creature that does not manifest itself in his presence: but all things are naked and open the eyes of Him to whom we must do. [14] Seeing then that we have a fantastic high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, as our profession. [15] Why not have a High Priest who can not sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. [16] us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace to receive mercy and find grace to help in case of need. Genesis 2:2 And the seventh day God finished the work he has done, and rested the seventh day from all the work he had done. After God finished all his works were based. Today, we are promised a break. Hebrews 4:01 Let us therefore dread, dread, a promise he has left us in his rest, any of you seem to have come too late. Now, some do not come in. Hebrews 3:18-19 And who promised not to enter into his rest, but for unbelievers? Thus, we see that they could not enter because of unbelief. The Israelites who disbelieve and provoked the wrath of God will come upon them for their unbelief. Anyone who has rested rests from his own works. Paul told me to live is Christ and to die gain. So now we have believed and were baptized into the faith in Christ should rest from our own work. We will define the remaining words.

To end the action

The other word means the cessation of work or effort. Demand for the rest of God, does not mean more effort itself – no more trying to please God by works of the flesh. Rest means the cessation of legal activity, it relies on the free grace. Now we are free to walk in the Spirit.

To be free of worries

Some people are never alone, because they are always upset about something. Rest means to be free of anything that disturbs or causes you concern. This means, in this sense to be silent, still, peaceful and free of guilt. To enter God’s rest is to be at peace with God – to have the perfect peace that God gives. It means being free of guilt, because our sin is forgiven.

TBD

God’s rest is the kind of rest which established a man in Christ and not work from philosophy to philosophy. It is more agitated by every wind of doctrine, but rooted and grounded in the truth of Christ.

To be sure

To enter God’s rest is to be sure, have absolute confidence and trust in God’s care for you.

To place one foot in

To enter God’s rest means that you can rely on him. You can count on God for support, trusting him to provide all their needs. Casting all your anxiety on him because he cares about you.

There are two final definitions of rest are not in a dictionary. The Scriptures speak of rest in the millennial kingdom and eternity. In addition, we will rest from our works or works and instead give the Lord Jesus in baptism by faith. No longer considered to be living, instead of Jesus Christ lives in me. We were baptized into his death, burial and resurrection. Now, he does works in me. It is complemented by his grace and our faith. Many people no longer believe the promises of God, and therefore do not fall asleep because of their unbelief. They have no active faith. Faith without works is dead in itself.

“For us it was the preaching of the Gospel, as well, but the word preached did their benefit, not of faith among those who heard it. For those who have believed enter that rest,” he said, j have sworn before me mad, if you enter my rest, even if the works were finished from the foundation of the world. For he says in a certain place on the seventh day in this way, And God rested on the seventh day of all his works. And in this new place, do not enter my rest. ”

“Gospel” (v. 2) should be translated as “excellent news”. This word has a specific connotation in the New Testament, but here refers to the excellent news is preached in the Ancient Testament.

The necessity of faith

Despite excellent news on the rest of God preached to Israel, which was useless because they do not. Some people have the misconception that they can become a Christian by being a member of the church. But, when hear the gospel does not mean anything if you believe with all your heart. It is terrible to realize that hell is populated by people who said to Jesus: “Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, And in thy name cast out demons? In your name perform many miracles? “To hear him say” I do not know me, you who practice lawlessness “(Matthew 7:22-23). If you use the name of Jesus in all areas except when it is most needed in baptism. And all of you word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. “(Colossians 3:17) No other name or a description of God keep you, let it be known to you all, and all the people of Israel, who in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, in him this man speaks to you all. This is the stone which was set to anything you builders, which will become the chief cornerstone. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. “(Acts 4:10-12) It is better to believe in God that a man made tradition. Then Peter and other apostles answered: “We must obey God rather than men. (Acts 5:29) Jesus has the power always and everywhere. but those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. (1 Corinthians 1:24) And Jesus came and spake unto them saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and on earth. (Matthew 28:18) For God’s wise, our Savior, be glory, majesty, dominion and power, now and forever. Amen. “(Jude 25) Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today and forever.” (Hebrews 13:8) Faith that does not

It’s an vital message for the public to hear the author because they thought they were safe because he was entitled as an inheritance. Paul said to these people in Romans 2:25, “Circumcision indeed benefit, if you must keep the law, but if you break the law, thy circumcision is uncircumcised.” Circumcision, Paul says, it makes no sense, unless you keep the law.

If a policeman stops you for speeding, you can have all the vehicle code memory and would not – you note. The mere fact of having the necessary information does not help unless you act accordingly, in fact, makes you more responsible. Unless the information we have is mixed with faith, with no benefits.

Saving faith

1 Thessalonians 2:13

“Therefore we also thank God without stopping, because when you received the word of God that you heard from us, you have received, not as the word of men, but as is indeed the Word God, who also works in you who believe. ”

2 Thessalonians 2:13

“We have to give thanks to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God from the beginning chosen to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth.” Jacques 1:22 / 2:17 – 20

“Doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving you.” “Even if faith, if it hath not works, is dead in itself. Yes, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: show me thy faith without thy works, and I’ll show you my faith by my works. You believe that God is one, you do well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But you know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? “The importance of faith

Hebrews 4:03 tells us that the fate of those who exercise faith and those who do not. The first part of the verse says: “We who have believed do enter into rest.” Note that he says we’re on the road to rest, they say we are. “Every Christian is in God’s rest . We have done our own work. Do not you reckon I am in the Father and the Father is in me, words that I speak, I speak not of myself: but the Father who dwells in me, he doeth the works. (John 14:10) It’s just another way of saying that we are saved, God lives in us and guides us into all truth.

God says to those who do not have faith, as I swore in my wrath, if you enter into my rest. “A better translation of this phrase is:” Do not enter my rest. “She expresses God’s attitude toward those who do not practice the faith. Stop believing the truth is that losing the rest of God for eternity.

The remains of faith

The rest is defined

In verse 3 God defines the rest as “my rest.” God Rest is not a trace of weariness or inactivity, but the finished work. God’s rest has been launched after the sixth day of creation. After making the universe, the earth and all life (including humans) in six literal twenty-four hours a day, God rested. His suite is described in verses 3-4: “Although the work been finished from the foundation of the world. For he says in a certain place on the seventh day in this way, And God rested the seventh day from all His works “(Genesis 2:1-2).

Remains lost

There is only one condition for Adam and Eve to remain at rest in God and was going to believe in God. But, chose to believe the lies of Satan instead and the rest lost their unbelief.

Remains recovered

The rest of the Bible God’s efforts to get the man back to his rest. To do so, had to deal with the sin of man. The coming of Jesus Christ took on the question of sin and death of Christ, men can enter the rest of God. Christ bore the sins of those who lived before the cross, and those of us who live on the cross. We apply the blood of our water baptism is by faith and receive the Holy Spirit later. And there are three that bear witness in earth, spirit and water and the blood: and these three agree. (1 John 5:08), as Christ was after. It happened in those days, Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. And then, when the water rose, he saw the heavens open and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him. Mark 1:9-5 10Verse reiterates the statement in verse 3, that the unbelieving Israelites could not enter God’s rest. I reckon people who have sinned in the desert has not only given Canaan, but also lost Canaan symbolizes eternal life. Only a small exercise faith in God. They entered the promised land.

Then he escaped so that some must enter, and those who first preached had not been taken because of unbelief ”

The second basis of rest is divine or sovereign decree. We are saved not only by our personal faith, but also for the sovereign choice of God before the foundation of the world (Eph. 1:4). Jesus puts the two elements of salvation and in John 6, when he said: “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him” (v. 44), and “what comes to me I only expressed the wise “(v. 37). The two doctrines can be seen like that. God knows everything, knew in advance that they would not accept his call in his life. But, all had the opportunity to freely accept. Those who accepted the cards are closer to God and to receive more truth and those who reject the light remains in the dark. The hello is then given to those who accept God and are his. The others, who rejected perish in their sins.

Hebrews 4:06 gives us the balance that the writer said earlier in this passage of personal faith. sovereign decree of God, the rest remains. God did not design things without end. Since the design so there is a pause, he always retained a vestige of history to delight in. Although the road is narrow and few find it (Matt. 7:14), some do. Paul writes in Romans 11:5 of Israel, “There is a by election of grace.” God has chosen a remnant of entering into his rest, and enter through personal faith.

“Once again, limiteth a certain day, saying in David, today, after so long, as they say, if today you hear his voice, harden not your hearts.”

The age of grace will not last forever. That is why the apostle Paul said, “now is the day of salvation” (2 Cor. 6:2). It is now God’s today. In Genesis 6:3, God says: My mind is not always strive with man, for he is flesh: his days are still a hundred twenty years. “There is a limit to their patience. The pre-flood civilization is an example.

“Today” refers to salvation is offered daily. The Spirit of God calls for immediate action in verse 7, because today will not last forever. This is the day that the rest is available. Do not wait and risk missing the rest of God.

“If Joshua had given them rest, not to speak later on another day. It is no rest for the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest also rests from his own works as God has made his own. ”

The rest is spoken in this passage is not the physical rest of Canaan. Verse 8 says that Joshua did not give rest to Israel, but, took them into Canaan. The real break did not come from Moses, Joshua, or David, but comes through Jesus Christ. Many preachers fake promise of happiness, health and wealth in this life, but it is never the focus of the Bible. Instead of offering the right salvation, offering some fascinating things that are not necessarily terrible, but they are secondary. They are dumb dogs unable to bark. These people are not Christians, and therefore can not teach the truth of salvation, and who do not know. Many of God’s people are busy, workers, or even affected by physical suffering, but, are at rest the salvation of God. Employment in wealth loved God, as when in poverty. This is the faith once, as we should all aspire. Paul said: “I have learned in whatever state I am, all to be pleased.” Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness, and pleased with what you have, because he said I do never leave you nor forsake thee. May God bless you in the name of Jesus.
