Formula One Racing

For my science fiction has always been excellent on a lot of spaceships and lightsabers. Of course, the robots are very fascinating and it is exciting to see all imagination of extraterrestrial life different from man can imagine. If this is where it ends, but, you do not take science fiction very excellent. Many classics of the genre writers (Asimov, Bradbury, etc.) showed that the best part of science fiction is that you can show us truths about the human condition. When you look at a person living in a world completely different from ours, and they end up behaving in a way that we humans act now, shows some aspects of humanity remain the same. The best science fiction books do so and make the best sci-fi.

The truths that we are in District 9 are not comfortable to watch. I have not left this movie feeling proud of being human at all. He argues that many of the worst characteristics of humans have talked to most of our history. Racism, violence, dread of new, weird or unknown, greed, lust for power are all stressed, his head hit the public, but the highlight, showing the shares of the population of Johannesburg when a weird alien mothership to hover over their city.

foreign refugees are removed from the ship, nicknamed “shrimp” are taken to a fenced in slums called District 9. They are about to be evicted from the neighborhood, people feel Johannesburg is too close to their city, and sent to a new neighborhood off in the desert so that people can feel safe again. The act stinks the whole treatment of the Jews in Europe in the 1930s and ’40s and even the treatment of Japanese Americans during World War II and other refugees in the world throughout history. Alien technology is bought, sold or stolen. Humans and aliens are the experiments conducted on them in scenes and vicious laboratory without any regard for their rights, comfort or even life. Basically, the human race now has the opportunity to do some of the worst atrocities in history, this time by a weirder to them instead of our fellows.

For those of you who are looking for shoot ‘em up action, this film also has no shortage of that and can be loved on that level too. Filmed in the most well loved “found footage” or “documentary” style (Cloverfield, The Blair Witch Project), which has a very immediate and physical on them. I reckon the film falls a bit too far in the explosion and loss of body parts and things that make a fantastic movie, first.

I recommend this offer, produced by Peter Jackson (The Lord of the Rings) and written and directed by Neill Blomcamp relative newcomers. It is not, but, his “general excellent feeling, the romantic comedy or a” let’s get all excited about the car chase “type of movie. Learn a very dark side of humanity, I hope we can change, if we can shed light on it.
