Editors view on the 2008 elections in Pakistan
This is a common thought that a person who read the Pakistani press may not be appropriate to provide an accurate picture what is happing in Pakistan. Secondly, the concerns expressed by the Musharraf government on the responsibility of the media in the development of Pakistan, makes the character of the media even more suspicious. Third, the common man can not know the difference between the views of the newspaper and the writers of the column. Most people just start to read a text written by the selection of their titles. And try to learn the truth. But after a week when someone questioned what the main issue is, will not answer. For some reason they thought they should be a piece of writing that can provide analysis on the upcoming general elections. So I selected two English newspapers know dawn and the news and editorial copy your web editions of December 1 to December 21, 2007. I just made an effort to get their views on the upcoming elections, political parties and government Musharraf. Most all items are in one way or another related to the elections. This article gives an thought of the events of three weeks and all at once that the reader can judge whether a prediction or analysis by any newspaper was fact or fiction.
About elections in January Alba (“The task ahead” December 1) believes that, possibly, the elections will take place in peace for the simple reason that the promises made by Musharraf to withdraw emergency and PCO can not make everyone pleased fragment the opposition and the election boycott by the PML (N) and the CA will have an effect on the credibility of the elections. An fascinating phrase: “There are more choices to meet the APDM. A precondition for a more just and transparent election is the need to lift restrictions on the media,” shows that Dawn is supposed to APDM working hard to raise the limits on the media. That is why Dawn has established itself as a proposal to the competent authorities and the general public. The adoption of a clear perspective on the politics of boycott Dawn (“The talks, not threats” December 2) condemns the APDM with the words “The APDM is far from clear on what is beyond the boycott. ” And on the other hand criticized the composition of the current interim government and electoral commission in Pakistan. But at the same time, the mirror shows the opposition in these words: “As for the composition of the current and provisional election commission, the opposition is justified in raising questions about the fairness of the elections. But the opposition also must share the blame for the current disaster in view of its inability to forge a unified position vis-à-vis the dictatorship in Islamabad, whose strength is, among others, on the basis of the disunity of their adversaries. ” Dawn not only identifies problems with the portrait, but also gives a proposal for the cure of the syndrome. “The only way to place aside all these concerns by those who are willing to participate in elections and to convince the boycotters to join the struggle is for the president to convene a multistakeholder meeting to resolve all differences and for certain changes to avoid being cast aspersions on the electoral process. ” All opposition parties are putting question mark over the credibility of the electoral process, only leaving out PML Q and Mollana sahib. The Dawn (“The” common goal “December 5) represents this thought as such,” Any election held under no circumstances acceptable to all opposition, except perhaps Fazlur Rahman Mollana. What credibility of an election that only the former ruling party and its leader officially designated for the opposition will be free and honest nobody knows “? The News (A step towards the future,” December 1), see this situation boycott in the different point of view “At the same time, President Musharraf signed statement that general elections would take place as plotted in January, and that” no one would make an obstacle in the transition to democracy ” are welcome. They give an indication of the choice to make a full turn by interrupting the process of democracy. Given that there are examples of previous parties, politicians would do well to participate in the process, instead of organizing a boycott. The full participation of groups representing all shades of opinion is really the best way to strengthen the system. ” News (“Free Aitzaz Ahsan” 03 December) makes a complaint “Aitzaz is, by any standard, a well loved politician, a brilliant orator and successful lawyer – now he’s the man is the dread that the government has again be caged for 30 days. He is also a candidate in the January 8 election and how it can possibly attract their voters if he is detained. This would suggest that what the government is doing in your case is not more than pre-survey of fraud – “. The next day, the news (pressure cooker “and also in the most blatant December 4)” The one issue on which every party is raising his voice and shouting is the credibility of the election to conduct a truly free and honest. This is the largest challenge facing President Musharraf and has already indicated that if the results of the survey on January 8 are not acceptable, you can leave the scene. This can be seen as a sign of weakness, but his best choice as the country’s civilian president would be done with honesty and sincerity above the political fray, stop patronizing some of its allies last, sitting down with leaders of major political parties by giving them due respect, making an atmosphere of transparency and fearless and so is going to make uncontested elections and more about problems instead of his own person. “Criticizing the news boycott the elections (” Boycott Sr. ” December 10) suggests that “The boycott is far from the lips of politicians as we approach the elections of January 2008, and as yet clear which party, if at the end of a period of ritual postures, will boycott the elections. boycotts have a varied history in terms of success, and any ‘boycott’ of the electoral process by the parties is likely to cause injury to themselves rather than in institutions and processes that are boycotting. One could argue that in this case a boycott of the process to remove those so committed even more of the levers of power than they already are, and do small to revive their parties are still recovering from years of absence. “ On the subject of disagreement between fields and Nawaz Bhutto, Dawn (Split on Boycott December
evaluates the reasons why “Technically, the talks were held between the ARD and the APDM. But, for all practical purposes, were the two former prime ministers who were exploring the possibility of adopting a joint position on the general election. ARD team was relatively homogeneous, but the diversity in the delegation APDM not seem to have come in the form of a consensus in the field of Nawaz, Professor Khursheed Ahmad presence symbolizes the hard-line adopted by the faction of the MMA Qazi . The two sides also differ in their attitude toward President Pervez Musharraf. While Benazir Bhutto has hinted that he was willing to work with a uniformed president, Nawaz Sharif made it absolutely clear that President Musharraf, whether in or out of uniform, was not acceptable to him. “And finally validates dawn Nawaz approach, “President Musharraf may be out of uniform, but the machinery of state is not out of dictatorial manner.”
In the feudal and capitalist civilization in Pakistan, all facets of life is under their influence. Obviously in the days of the election when the party tickets are given to this segment of society. Dawn (“feudal rule” 09 December), raises the curtain on the site of the next parliament in these words: “For decades the society in Pakistan has undergone many changes, but one of the main components of our body politic has resisted all changes: the feudal control of the country’s political institutions … According to the report, the three main national parties – PPP, PML-N, PML-Q – and the Federal District-based PML-F has not made efforts to diversify the class representation in parliament and have continued to give some inputs in an overwhelming number of feudal lords. “The news (” Taking the initiative “02 December), shows another side of the coin was in these words:” In recent years, the gradual disappearance of ideology – except who joined the religious parties – from politics in Pakistan has left behind a situation that policies on key issues such as privatization, welfare and taxes are no longer in election campaigns. Instead, it has greatly reduced the practice of fighting between powerful individuals, whose personal standing, influence and wealth determines the outcome of competition for a particular seat. In other words, elections have become small more than a kind of wrestling competition between these “strong men”, and occasionally women, whose success or failure is the best loosely related to the program parts “. From the beginning, foreign hands are involved in Pakistani politics. Dawn (“The real electorate?” 09 December) gives details of the situation. “A responsibility to people is a basic principle of democracy. It is right that we are living in times of dictatorship, but public opinion has been largely insignificant in Pakistani politics, even in times of democracy, engineering or otherwise. Our leaders in recent decades, whether Benazir Bhutto, Nawaz Sharif or Pervez Musharraf, have looked to foreign shores for validation and subsequent consolidation of power Leaving. <-! NextPage -> office and on the incorrect side of the equation of power, our politicians make a beeline for. Washington and London in an attempt to destabilize the Islamabad headlines in your constituency the way, apparently, not the people of Pakistan, but U.S. and its allies in Europe and the Middle East – and of course the headquarters of Rawalpindi, in some cases …. The image abroad is clearly more vital than the opinion at home. When elections can be manipulated, the loss of votes and the confidence of the people is not a major concern. Ours is a country that has imported two prime ministers, one from the World Bank in Washington and one from Citigroup in New York. But, our leaders speak of “sovereignty” and not lose the opportunity to condemn foreign interference … We only have ourselves to blame for any interference in our internal affairs. “Advice” from abroad has been kowtow to all along, so why should it be surprising that the Saudi envoy may meet Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry, when the former prime ministers of Pakistan and his associates of the deposed chief justice, the friends and admirers can not? Or that foreign diplomats have been giving advice to local politicians in the run up to elections, or visit the facilities of the media prohibited by the emergency? Turkish President recently met with leading politicians in Pakistan, going so far as to train them in how to deal with the military. No doubt you have some experience in this matter, but only in the context of Turkey. “
PML Q designed his manifesto with 5 D’s, and made some promises to the nation. Dawn (“The season show” December 12) discusses the game in these words: “The two leaders said the PML would not support the presidential system, a Although the constitutional system as it exists today has been stripped of his parliamentary and presidential character in all the names, but …. Like all the manifestos, the program of the PML-Q contains the goals and promises that, if met, can help end poverty, make equality, spread of education, people a better life and take Pakistan into the 21st century. But, once in power, parties tend to ignore their electoral promises, and is the bureaucracy that develops and implements plans are often adjusted to the conditions imposed by donors to help. “While the news (” The five D’s “Dec. 12) criticizes the same phenomena in these words:” It is also right that both the two manifestos detailed published so far, with his words carefully plotted and slogans, have something in them that resembles a letter released by a group of Boy Scouts or similar organization. There’s something a bit childish about the focus of all the effort, especially from the document, as is the case with PPP for one, makes no effort to provide insight into the ideological basis of the policies of the parties expected to continue , but basically says a list of promises or solemn oaths. This also says something about the broader role of manifestos in the politics of Pakistan. The fact is that the statements made in these documents rarely or never applied. And knowledge of this reality is perhaps one reason why the parties can afford to let so many huge words and phrases to dominate them, confident that in a system where the balance of power has increasingly went away or went to one side, and the powers of the people to keep or throw away by leaders from outside intervention, or manipulation of the electoral process itself is unlikely to be called upon to deliver on promises …. While in his manifesto, and in speeches at the launch, party leaders of the PML-Q spoke of democracy within and outside the party, the reality is that during his five years in power, the party has made small to build a culture. “And commenting on the manifesto of the PML-N News (” The theme of the Restoration “December 17), wrote these words,” Using the acronym “Restore”, the PML-N has coupled with the sudden flurry of ads shown by the political parties, with the emphasis on the return of deposed judges and an end to the military’s role in the politics of the seven letters to “restore” the word stand for the restoration of justice, democracy and the Constitution of 1973;. elimination of military role in politics, security of life and property, tolerance, reconciliation, general, help the poor and education and employment, as announced by the PPP and the PML-Q in the last month, the agenda of the PML-N is obviously an incredibly ambitious “/ <.. p> Only the lawyers are to continue with their stance of boycotting the elections. Other major parties chose to participate in elections. Dawn (” The lawyers and the boycott “Dec. 14) describes this as” the choice of Mr. Aitzaz Ahsan to withdraw definitively from the choice seems to agree with the legal community’s boycott of the January 8 vote. The position of lawyers is that those who are participating in the general election is the legitimacy of Musharraf’s government …. The politicians have shown no unanimity on the boycott. Maulana Fazlur Rahman choice to go to the elections has divided the MMA, and the boycott camp collapsed when the PML-N nearly defected to the other side. The boycott is now confined to the Jamaat-i-Islami, along with some smaller parties. position of principle of the legal community against the president on March 9 choice and the enactment of the OCP will go down in history as unprecedented in terms of the sacrifices rendered. But, they often feel uncomfortable about the danger of the legal community to get politicized. “The news (the” middle way “Dec. 7) raises the question of the judicial function in the new lesson in these words:” It a fact, and rightly pointed out by Mr. Malik, hundreds of district judges, magistrates and civil judges throughout the country were taken immediately by the Chief Justices of the provincial high courts just before the announcement of election schedule. These are the trial judges who will become agents of return and are essential cogs in the electoral process. Appeals against their decisions to go to court and the current Supreme Court, all of whom are now handled by the judges who took a new oath under the Provisional Constitutional Order. Thus, the entire electoral building has been constructed so that any unwanted political candidate can be eliminated from the process at any time. That’s where the system can be manipulated as has been amply demonstrated by the rejection of nomination papers of Nawaz Sharif both Sharif and Shahbaz. “The news (” In the court’s president, “December 13) puts a small light on The Musharraf PROMIC “So the 2008 election is that it moves slowly to become what President Pervez Musharraf had once described as the” mother of all elections. ” It is also reassuring that the president has publicly stated he would not accept the results and try to work with anyone who comes to power after the elections. Despite his assertion that “I relate to people very well, I’m not a distress maker” may sound like an oversimplification or a small optimistic, at least it seems that the notes sound right to work in a real parliament chosen …. While Ms. Bhutto and Mr. Sharif have to show their strength in the polls, Musharraf has a much more hard to achieve. He has to prove his words, repeated often, which is neutral and not support any political party. This requires more than a few statements to establish, especially if you look at the state and key government resources have been seized by the former Punjab chief minister, while he and his party will seek an “advantage” in the electorally crucial province. “
Bhutto driven analysis that judges were making policy before the promulgation of the November 3 Provisional Constitutional Order, which sent them packing, and his claim that the elections will be honest, the Aurora (weird logic of Bhutto “, December 15) gives the history of the emergence of political leadership in Pakistan.” a sense of wonder must also be felt by many over his warning that the January 8 elections will be fraudulent. Is she the only one who can trust the game plot designed by the devil, so to speak? This acute sense of paranoia is indeed disturbing … Bhutto certainly has a excellent memory, but tends to disappear and non-selective . There has been a historical pattern in which the never claim of independence by civilians players went unpunished, and the list goes on. In recent times, it is worth remembering that Mr. Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, made his debut policy under a regime of martial law and took power after elections held under military rule. Mr. Mohammed Khan Junejo was selected by General Ziaul Haq. Both declared their independence in a timely manner; Bhutto paid with his life, Junejo only work with <- - NextPage!>. No credit credit expelled from judges for its booth at the 2007 “The news (” early step “December 15) on the other hand supports civil society and the movement of lawyers and praise Aitaza Ahsan boycott the elections, “The choice by the SCBA president Aitzaz Ahsan to withdraw nomination papers he had submitted a Lahore constituency as the candidate of PPP, has immediately raised her as a man of principle. In explaining its choice, which deviates from the party line Aitzaz has been affiliated for decades, said he was determined to stand by the community of lawyers who so valiantly led the struggle for judicial independence. ”
Prediction of some data on the next dawn of Parliament (“weird logic of Bhutto”, December 16) says: “The amendments to the Basic Law since November 3 can not be undone, but by a majority of two thirds, and all indications are that the Jan 8 elections will give us a hung parliament where the opposition will be impossible to gather that many votes. In other words, the lower house which will be launched next months will be presented with a fait accompli. What position of the PML (Q) will be in the assembly is hard to say, but should not be beyond the president’s power to manage a majority of two thirds, with the help of ” king of the party “and those who are willing to go forward. That the president chose not to do this, and amendments have become part of the Constitution to show that it has chose not to give the assembly, including rubber stamp state “. The next day an editorial in (Pakistan in His Labyrinth), Dawn suggests that this situation is very impotent for the people of Pakistan “As for the January 8 election, there was very small in the president’s speech Saturday night to cool Opposition fears of transparency the polls, even though Musharraf has invited foreign observers any number to witness the process. At the same time, made it clear he will not allow any agitation or rejection of election results by anyone. In these circumstances, the poet Faiz prophetic lines come to mind: “Take a vow of fidelity or separation, do what you want / what control? How will we support? “The people of Pakistan has never been so powerless to shape their political destiny.” And on the same day in another editorial “Voters ‘list’ is concerned the participation of women voters in the election,” Here it is noted that an issue that must be addressed by the Electoral Commission and NGOs working at grassroots and civil society is the participation of women in the electoral process. Over the years more women have participated in the polls, thanks to the efforts of advocacy groups that have conducted campaigns to educate women politically. But the thing that gives rise to greater concern is the fact that in some constituencies women’s participation has really been nil. This has been attributed to a patriarchal culture with older men forbade women to vote. This is reprehensible. The Electoral Commission should look into this matter and take steps to prevent the use of social pressure to prevent women from exercising their right to vote. “ Although criticism of the next morning hung parliament is in favor of participating in elections. “The participation of most major political parties in elections is the right choice, although the PPP and the PML-N have said they are taking part in the protest. Since the two disagree on a list of demands as a condition for participation, in the hope that elections could be held under a more equitable dispensation is now, but all the scripts. It is clear that those who have chosen to stay away have left the field open to his opponents, which can do something else besides committed to disappoint his voters. The JI is perhaps the forgiveness of his sin of being part of the 17th Amendment, and now refuses to do anything that might be seen as the approval of Musharraf as the system again. Mr. Imran Khan and nationalists have no faith left in the current system because they believe the next Parliament, and outgoing, will remain under the control of the president. “While the news (” Role reversal “December 11 ) after Nawaz’s choice to take part in elections, describe the next term in these words: “In this situation, a dilemma arises also for the ruling group and indeed to President Musharraf. A two-thirds majority in the new set is essential for the presidential field, so that the necessary parliamentary stamp of approval can be given to the post-November 3 choice. The choice of the PML-N to participate in the polls makes this task more hard – at least if a free and honest election is organized “Some political parties have expressed their concerns about election fraud and decisions. Threats to launch agitation after the election. Dawn (“rigging and agitation” December 21), recalls the history of Pakistani politics and gives direction for the future “emergency government lifted December 15, leaving only three weeks of the campaign. The business class is, of course, very pleased with the government. People might have remained poor, but the economic benefits to Pakistan in the wake of 9 / 11 have gone mostly to the business class that has prospered at the expense of the people. For that reason, this class has no reason to fund an anti-Musharraf (read anti-American) agitation. In fact, quite a few tycoons are contesting the election and most likely in the Parliament because of his power to buy votes. If, therefore, some parties are plotting a mass unrest after the January 8 vote, the better that you read the situation. As the events since March 9 have shown, the agitation of lawyers and journalists could not provoke a well loved response, and it is unlikely that people will respond with zeal to stir anti-government as they did in 1977 “.
The presidential election of 2008, the most watched entertainment today – a Newport Beach and San Diego Entertainment Attorney View
a Palm Springs, Los Angeles, San Diego and Newport Beach and Orange County lawyer entertainment, there was nothing to compare with the drama of the 2008 election. At least, the entertainment value of this election has been able to keep the minds of the people in the economy. Everyone has something to keep in mind.
Will one candidate improve business conditions in San Diego or Orange County more than the other? Does the Vice President selection may swing voters in one sector or another on the other vice presidential candidate selection? What new slimy negative attack ads is a candidate to break unfairly by the other and divide the county?
If it were not for politics right now, there is nothing to be excited in the entertainment field. Saturday Night Live ratings have gone through the roof because of one thing, politics. His parodies on the election have so much interest that now shows on Thursdays and Saturdays.
All the celebrities always suspect that the news often in pieces entering in night clubs, being arrested, having children, selling baby photos, gaining weight, losing weight, everyone seems be acting.
So as entertainment attorney, I have to say, thank excellent for politicians. Politics used to be the subject of the debate dull and something I never discuss on a first date, is suddenly the topic of the day. And speaking of theater ….
The first thing we hear as we got home from work and turn on the TV is that the economy is about to sink into a deep hole and if we do not give 0 billion at the top of the nearly 0 billion we’ve spent on financial institutions, life as we know it will disappear. I would have imagined such dire consequences before this announcement, if foreigners were about to invade and we need 0 billion to build the greatest weapon of lightning. But this announcement was not a remake of The War of the Worlds, which appeared in the news, CNN, and everywhere.
And then there was the drama of the development of the rescue plot. It’s on, it’s off. There has been a breakthrough. Oops, spoke too soon. McCain’s campaign is being suspended. No, incorrect again. Then the bailout is approved and goes into a tailspin in Europe nearly as quick as Sarah Palin star is fading and the campaign of John McCain goes to the dump. Then the negative campaigning starts in earnest.
Suddenly, nobody cares what the best movies were box office for the week. If even more film screenings? This political drama is too excellent to pass up. Besides, who can afford the popcorn and drinks in the more movies?
Now people are rushing home to see the latest poll numbers and to see the latest plays in Saturday Night Live. What candidates have zingers at each other? Sarah Palin can answer a question better than her ridiculous rambling answers she gave Katie Couric? Is a letter going to keep stringing McCain.
And you have the surveys and follow a horse race. First one candidate is ahead by a nose, and then the other is by the hair. Then, a candidate becomes a burst of speed as the other races to the wire.
This is better than a soccer match near an election mile. This has everything and they say always save their best ads of the past. Do not you dare touch that dial. This is entertainment for all ages.
If you have an entertainment law, copyright or trademark issue in San Diego, Newport Beach, Irvine, Orange County, La Jolla, inside the Empire, Los Angeles, Palm Springs or anywhere in southern California, we have the knowledge and resources for your entertainment Newport Beach, a lawyer and his home in San Diego Entertainment Attorney. As the hours pass, the battle for the position of “leader of the free world” to be contested by two high-profile senators are hotly debated in all corners of the nation. The country has seen both candidates campaigning hard for the past two years. Representative of the Democratic Party, Barack Obama, went forward with implementing a masterful campaign, while Republican candidate John McCain rose from the dead in the primary season, struggling valiantly against better financed rivals.
The campaign has tested many of the skills of candidates. Of the fascinating debates were the lessons learned in dealing with sudden critical issues without forgetting to convey the right message to their supporters. Policies suggested by both candidates have been actively voted opinions adopted and carried out discussions. Detailed proposals of Obama’s policy for health care, wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, taxes and economic rebound have been a huge struggle for Iraq McCain’s proposals, tax, health, housing and trade. 2008 Presidential Election Results Sportsbook Campaign Trail Online
Election betting is not new. In fact, Las Vegas oddsmaker Jimmy “The Greek” Snyder gained fame and credibility (which later led to a place on CBS ‘NFL preview) when, after noting that women are not trusted men who wore mustaches, boldly predicted that underdog current President Harry S. Truman would defeat New York Gov. Thomas E. Dewey in the race for the White House in 1948. Or so the tale goes.
The irony is that Nevada bookmakers do not accept bets on the election. The reason often cited is that as a vote of entertainment as the Oscar award, that someone knows the results of early voting, but there’s something sick about the game of mix and politics.
Sure.
Certainly, most online bookmakers outside the jurisdiction of the Silver State have small difficulty in publishing future about who will win the lease for four years at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. The process, which should reach a conclusion when delegate-rich states like California, New York and Florida vote next February, is already underway with 10 Republicans and eight Democrats vying for the prize. Each field party could grow and there is the possibility that an airline merger or an independent candidate.
In general, online sports betting attack the 2008 election in one of three ways. The simplest way is to publish a generic part that will win the White House. Led by a president with record low approval ratings and take on an increasingly unpopular war in Iraq, Republicans are clearly oppressed to maintain control in 2008, usually listed as 140 oppressed (the 0 to win bet 0). Moreover, the Democrats, with his voter base more energetic and independent monitoring in their direction, are cited as -160 favorite (bet from 0 to win 0) to regain control of the Oval Office.
Could someone not aligned with any of the most vital, as an independent candidate or a third party win? You can get 5,250 in that remote possibility.
Many online bookmakers also have separate books for the future of the Democrats and Republicans. Although it voted for the Iraq war, an unpopular position among party activists, a New York senator and former first lady Hillary Clinton leads the Democrats, usually in disagreement about 4 / 5. Representing a younger generation, Illinois Senator Barack Obama is the clear choice second in 02.05 with former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards, 1.5, and so far unannounced candidate, former Vice President Al Gore, which offers from a minimum of 1.4 and a high of 01.10. New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson, who is widely seen as an ideal choice for vice president, Senators Chris Dodd (CT) and Joe Biden (D), former Sen. Mike Gravel (Alaska) and Congressman Dennis Kucinich, are long shots .
Despite its moderate liberal views on many social issues like abortion, gay rights and gun control, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani is the favorite of 5.7 to obtain the approval of the bulk conservative Republican president. Arizona Sen. John McCain, who holds an unpopular position on immigration, the option is 5 / 2 second to former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, whose positions have been developed (critics say “flip-flop”) are trading at 01.04 with former Tennessee Senator Fred Thompson likely to enter the race in July about the same chance of Romney.
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich would enter the race in about 15 / 1 in case you run into cubes, ahead of previously announced candidates such as former governors Mike Huckabee (AK) and Tommy Thompson, WI) , Sen. Sam Brownback (KS) and Rep. Duncan Hunter, Ron Paul and Tom Tancredo.
Sen. Chuck Hagel (NE), 30 / 1, could enter the race as Republican or independent.
The third way to offer online sports betting future presidential elections is to bring together all the candidates together in one huge book. The difference between this type of book and records of the parties separately is the same as the difference between the World Series championship and the future, more risk but greater reward for the whole enchilada is
.
Clinton is the favorite in the huge book, usually about 2 / 1. Giuliani checks in next with a share of 7.2 to 1.4 with Obama, McCain at 6 / 1, Romney and Gore in 8.1.
In the 2008 election approaches, many online bookmakers to add key Senate, House and Governor races to its wagering menu, providing even more options to the choice of bets.
2008: Choosing life
Copyright (c) 2007 Karen Talavera
Just one year of U.S. presidential elections and there are universal desperation for change in this country, and across this country, the impetus for a better world. Judging by the broad spectrum of candidates who have thrown their hat into the ring, without a doubt, change is what we get. The question for all Americans is, how you want to drastically change things, and in what direction? And the only question that all Americans must answer is, you want to participate in the process of making change, or you feel this one?
If you are an American, the 2008 race may well be the choice of his life. Do not sit out. Here’s why:
If you are between the age of eighteen and twenty-five years, turns his head wondering what happened to the American people to hear more of what they remember or you read in books. The United States has not been his America. Since childhood you lived in a country increasingly divided party, a country that now comes closest to the two presidential elections in recent history, which sequentially become the largest voting population ever. Not to mention, they were introduced in the political system through the failure of the 2000 presidential election, which probably you wonder if your country is not as corrupt as the archetypal South American dictatorship of the border, one that has historically been keen to overthrow. Furthermore, spamming, technology, media hype and digital devices that you have never known life without it nearly impossible to pay attention to anything, or reckon that what is absorbed. But, you have a unique way to tune in via the Internet, social media and virtual team collaboration. You have the cynicism of youth on his side to improve their power of discernment. Now in their twenties, have the opportunity to make your voice heard as an adult, perhaps the first time. Please use it.
If you’re 30 or 40-ish-ish-born but too late to participate in the celebration of free like and political-military of the 60′s and 70′s, you’re still ancient enough to remember a nurturing setting, suburban likely when only one their parents worked to provide a comfortable family life. A time before microwaves, cell phones, Internet and digital everything, his childhood was full of freedom, freedom of pedophiles online, free over-developed land, freedom from terrorist attacks, and even simple freedom of not knowing where his mother rode her bicycle and went out after school. You have seen, lived, and in a manner appropriate to change dramatically quicker in his country and the world at large in a relatively small period of time. This has given many of you a global mindset and the desire to go away from capitalism post-World War II survival “American Dream” race of real progress toward something better, but not necessarily larger. You see how politicians could be where we are in America, and may have seen the world enough to realize that does not have to be. You are in the flower, which lead to economic power and in positions of leadership. Now is the time to step up and participate. Please do.
If you are a baby-boom in the 50′s or early 60′s, the current state of our union should not only feel painfully familiar, but frightening. Are no strangers to revolution, to change, and to the creation. Even if they were not politically active during the years of Kennedy, Eisenhower and Nixon, they are certainly ancient enough to remember the lessons of that time and has no excuse not to. Many of you, the descendents of the early twentieth century immigrants to the U.S., through their courage did shape equal opportunities and eliminate injustice against minorities. Through its heritage and diversity that has contributed to the multi-cultural, multi-racial mix that is America now. You are the most numerous and wealthy generation of this nation has ever seen. Its ballast can sink or stabilize the ship. Please, if you have not already done so, get on board and help guide us in the right direction.
And last but not least, if you are a right citizen aged 75 years or older and has nearly seen it all, paradise? No? You have seen how governments, one world, one universe can give and take life. You have long-term vision of where we’ve been, as a country, and who possess the wisdom of experience that can guide us to where we are headed. You’ve been around enough to have lived the adage that those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it. You may be mad, you may be worried, you may quit, you may be ill and sick, or may be ancient and tired. But you’re still here. And we need all of you, to continue to participate in the preservation of the Americas – not the government, not politics – but ideally, that many of his generation fought and lost their lives. Please do not leave the ring, but, stay and keep fighting the excellent fight. The rest of us promise to cheer.
Not only is the 2008 presidential elections are more diverse than ever before, is that the risks are greater than they’ve ever been in the majority of Americans? lives. With global warming, energy crisis and the bio-terrorism that hangs over our heads, we are talking about our very survival as a species. The dread of nuclear Armageddon in the past? if the Russians or North Koreans get jacked enough to start World War III? pale in comparison to if humans can survive a global climate or shift. We’re talking about things that may be beyond our control to change or reverse. Now is the time for unity, not division. The whole system has to change if we do, as a country and as global citizens. We want someone to show us the way, not the former, not in the same way, but a new way.
Is there a person? Of course there are, probably more than one. But you will not be able to discern that you do not even know the line-up. And you will not be able to choose their future if they do not enter the game. The time is long break with a repetition of the past. The evaluation that can lead America to a new future, not just vote for the new faces that have not seen in the previous race. Do not let gender, color, religion, age, appearance or distract from the substance or lack of it below. Value search, the search for independence, the search for candidates willing to cross party lines to do the right thing. Search rules are broken, and they should be. Identify problems and judge their candidates on where they stand. And vote your conscience, vote your heart, not just the party line. But the majority vote of all! Vote at this time especially in the primary and general elections. After all, 2008 may well be the choice of his life.
A look at the two Americas, with the 2008 presidential election

2008 U.S. presidential election comes at the end of a Republican administration in eight years the average annual income in the country dropped from 557 to 233, according to the Census Bureau as reported in Business Week in November. During the same time, the country’s yucky domestic product increased by 22 percent, which should have resulted in an increase in annual income for middle-class families, 000.
then corporate profits jumped an average of 10.8 percent per year, while the consumer price index rose 25 percent and core inflation rose 18 percent, excluding food and energy. The price of petrol rose from 0.47 per gallon in 2001 to .78 in 2008 after peaking at 0.11 earlier this year. The increase in food prices has been equally sharp, with the cost of a dozen eggs rose by 97 percent, to close to it.
McCain married an heiress and owner of many houses can not keep track, would be to hold your party in the Arizona Biltmore Resort and Spa , a semi-retired, says the New York Times to Arizona so the Waldorf in New York. The Democratic nominee would be holding your party in Grant Park in Chicago, with 70,000 expected to attend thousands more on a waiting list and possibly up to one million expected to crowd into the center of the town nearby.
Both candidates have promised change if elected. At that stage, one of the two American will have its choice.
if the Republican candidate wins, there will be a new body in the Oval Office and a new one in the associate vice-president office. Directors can expect to remain the same, especially with the current vice president emerging days before the election to throw their support behind the man who struggled throughout the campaign to distance himself from the current president and the demand on several occasions, “I do not I’m Bush. ”
Oval Office itself, an erratic “maverick” can be expected to exchange frequent displays of temper with the new vice-presidential “rebel” since the beginning made the mistake of calling the campaign of Palin / McCain ticket rather than the reverse. Given his refusal to mind their drivers Republicans as the election approached, she goes to stop with the president on all issues, including the donation of the conservative judges that focuses on a Supreme Court and the number of perforations do in the Alaskan wildlife preserve.
Nationally, for Americans, the situation would remain the same, as internationally. The huge difference could be an increase of entanglement with the emerging global giants Russia and China, the quixotic war president of the country lent weight to the “friends of America” in the countries of the former Soviet Union republics and breaking numerous. The war on terror also remain basically unchanged as hiring militant captured their second wind of an America increasingly despised throughout the world.
By contrast, the new body in the Oval Office for the Democratic candidate was the winner would have a steady hand. Had to work with global and national level with a sly vice clean slate of smart advisers. The new programs for retraining and retraining America for a global world implemented as the national support network severely hurt throughout the world was repaired.
Jobs would also be made by improvements to the country’s infrastructure, including reconstruction of roads and aging bridges. These are a must for the U.S. middle class in an expanding country. They are in fantastic need of repair and have not received attention for eight years.
huge change for the United States in the case of a Democratic victory in the 2008 elections would be in the war against terrorism and the U.S. need to dread . An atmosphere of cooperation with the world America would be counterproductive for the fans. The development would devoid the primary objective.

The Astrology of the 2008 election
Choosing CHANGE
(CA Brooks, Elizabeth Pendleton)
is not surprisingly, each of the major U.S. presidential candidates 2008 election has adopted the slogan “Change.” historical aspects of the planet is taking so the election day itself and in the broader context before and after this memorable day. Since the spring from 1964 to 1966 Saturn had a series of oppositions to Uranus. In the final hand, Saturn represents tradition and structure while Uranus challenges the status quo. These two powerful outer planets start their next round of competitions, on 4 November.
Both Virgo and Pisces are mutable signs, which are known for their ability to see one side of a situation. mutable signs tend to separate or dissolve the fixed energy of the signals prior to them (Leo and Aquarius in this scenario) and paving the way for the new energy of the cardinal signs of following (Libra and Aries). In small, the mutable signs represent the change.
best, Saturn represents maturity, wisdom gained through experience, knowledge of self that leads to self-discipline and accept responsibility for our lives and our choices. In the worst case, Saturn feels like external rules and regulations, structure, and oppression – the highest authority outside the constriction of our lives. Without a regular and sober reflection is right, the structures that make and accept in our lives may become obsolete and stop functioning as plotted.
Sitting at the other end of the teeter totter astrology is Uranus, the switch, which represents the rebellion, the genius of independence and, at times of adolescence and forever change the applicant, the novel and new. This rebel is too willing to challenge the status quo, go against the convention, and force us to reassess all the values we cherish if we want to or not.
The tension of these two forces in opposition to others is readily apparent in the campaigns that dominates this election. While it would be really unfair and unrealistic to characterize any of the candidates who represent only one end of this continuum, as a step back and see the “scene” to see the action take place. Critics, John McCain, accusing him of being “too ancient and grumpy, out of touch” and want to use all the ancient methods and structures for solving problems (Saturn). Barack Obama’s critics say it is “too inexperienced, too radical and even perilous – palling around with terrorists” (Uranus). McCain’s campaign encouraged to remove their forces, emphasizing his experience and long history of serving his country (Saturn) while cautioning him to avoid emotional outbursts and cries “erratic” and behavior (Uranus) . Meanwhile, Obama’s advisors encourage him to show leadership cool and assertive (Saturn) and avoid being “shaken” (Uranus).
As usual the truth is usually found on the middle ground. This is really an exciting, if the time uncomfortable. Both planets are change agents in their own ways. Saturn likes to clean up the mess – anything considered not useful or functional and set new limits and rules. Uranus is strikingly usually – wants to make some chaos, anti-establishment, and break things apart – which can sometimes be justified. Uranus does not change is the likely trend smooth and slow as the incoming and outgoing tides.
like the election is not the end but the beginning of something new, the storm (or is it fun?) Of this pair of planetary opposition is far from complete. Over the next two years, the two planets go along each of the designated courses, both continue their dance of the opposition, since each planet moves in both forward and backward movements. In fact the two will be in direct opposition in February and September 2009 and April 2010. If we have done our duty – to examine our lives, our beliefs and is open to new information, the opposition of July in Aries and Libra will allow us to give birth to something new. No doubt we will see the fruits of our labor as a country.
As Saturn and Uranus may have the greatest influence on the election day itself, Saturn, Jupiter and Pluto are also set to play an vital role in the forms of what come in the next administration.
From
September 2, 2007 Saturn entered Virgo, when the tales of the current mortgage crisis started to appear. Stern and sober Saturn’s books along with relentless attention earth sign of Virgo to detail are leaving no stone unturned in the world of financial matters through October 29, 2009 when Saturn goes into Libra. Saturn in its highest aspect is one of the greatest teachers of life. Da structure of solid realistic goals, provides strength and constant encouragement to the efforts worthwhile and rewarding a job well done. But it will not tolerate laziness and dishonesty. That defects in the death of a financial boom based on unhealthy lending practices fueled by unprecedented greed bottom to top, a serious review of the current situation is no surprise. Saturn, just will not stand for cooking the books, or self-indulgence. Add Virgo meticulous approach to life, especially the material world, and its dedication to service, and irregularities and flaws in our economic system will remain exposed. Saturn will demand that the next president will help us to place our fiscal house in order, personal and national.
Also making the economy the main issue this election year has been the planet of Jupiter in Capricorn, which started in January. Capricorn is an earth sign ruled by Saturn. So our national review of the financial facts and the real value of the assets has been the subject of the second heavy dose of reality. In January 2009, Jupiter will Aquarium humanitarian mind. Under the right direction, this is an brilliant aspect for political change that serves the common excellent. A manifest example of how government would be spending in infrastructure improvements and tax incentives for investment in green technologies.
But the most subtle, but vital of all in the 2008 election is the movement of Pluto into Capricorn in late November, a trend that will extend until March 2023 . The last time Pluto passed through Capricorn was from 1762 to 1778. There is more to remember the tea tax in the early 1760 and as a result American Revolution to know the powerful implications of this placement. In small, it is a generational opportunity to transform business, government and major institutions in the surveillance of other nonsense Capricorn. The excellent news about this sign is ambitious both realism and gives us the strength of long-term goals. He is not interested in becoming an overnight sensation. And given the magnitude of the problems we now face, his pragmatism, strength and willingness to roll up their sleeves to do what needs to do is very timely. So, as we can see, the consequences of our choice on November 4 are deep and far-reaching. 2008 is without doubt a moment of “change.”
Do not Question, Do not Tell: the Bradley Effect and the 2008 election
Americans will vote for a black president? This is a real and vital question, as I write this, and a question that can last even after the election. Because after the election, I will discuss how Barack Obama can win and overcome the rhetoric of race or we will be looking at ourselves and wondering why it could not do enough to choose a excellent education, man well spoken and does not replace the estimated 30% of whites say the polls will not vote for a black man for president of the United States.
The new policy to give impetus to review ancient questions. The candidacy of Barak Obama, an African American, is the core issue of whether voters disguise their right intentions when they answer questions from the interviewers on the effect of race on the election of political candidates. The term “Bradley effect” is used to describe the behavior of white respondents state that race does not affect their vote and where the election result shows that the candidate of choice received far less votes than expected. This dichotomy between the vote and the final results are said to reflect the fact that white voters lie about whether or not going to vote for an African-American, and don ‘want to appear socially inappropriate. The “Bradley effect” refers to the issue of race, but can also be applied to other qualities.
Each year we honor the memory of Martin Luther King. It was his dream that the sons of former slave owners and sons of former slaves one day be educated, work and live together amicably and that the “Black” would have the same opportunities to succeed in society as any other race. The potential of the Presidency of Barak Obama seems to reflect some realization of that dream. But it also raises the factor of race in the election results.
Many people do not know how the term “Bradley effect” occurred, so for purposes of this article, here’s some background. In 1982, Los Angeles Mayor Tom Bradley was projected to win the race for governor of California based on polls before the election. Instead his white opponent George Deukmejian won. Seven years later, Douglas Wilder, an African American, narrowly won the governorship of Virginia, having been projected to win the office easily. The term “Bradley effect” is used to describe these phenomena.
recent election results in New Hampshire during the 2008 primaries present a different view, and perhaps a different result that shows the progress in achieving King’s dream. Obama was projected to receive 37% of the vote in the Democratic primary against their rivals, and indeed, even though it was second to Hillary Clinton received the expected percentage of the vote. Thus, the Bradley effect can no longer be operable in certain states, or under certain conditions, or with certain candidates. But what will happen nationally.
It’s been 40 years since segregation was considered and rejected in national politics. The legacy of Martin Luther King is still something that everyone can identify, regardless of race. His message in Washington in 1963 was a hope of right brotherhood and the potential of what the country could be capable of. Obama is part of the realization of that hope, while at the same time his candidacy provokes us to examine our stereotypes and prejudices. The possibility of turning back the Bradley effect as a historical relic rather than a definitive answer makes the choice “do not question, do not say” a phrase that no longer fit any situation, because every vote and every person is shown to the part equally in our culture and justice will be the banner of diversity and change for the better.
Election 2008: Racism Revived
What has happened in the McCain / Palin events is appalling and reprehensible. A country that boasts of freedom and justice for all, but allows itself to be divided by prejudice and despise, embarrasses our desire to be world leaders. We are reputed to have a higher education system, but, show the unfathomable ignorance.
At this time, 232 years in the history of the longest living democracy in the world, with this sound dichotomy through a presidential campaign should lead to a break to examine our individual and national soul.
The undertow of prejudice in this country has been poured into the race to include religion and ethnicity.
Now the Republican candidates have made in this black hole to try to win votes in this election. Smiling and with the exercise of his speeches that “kill him” “traitor,” “treason,” “Off with his head” was shouted from the public gives the patina of approval from the seeds of intolerance and hatred that lead to mob mentality. Their actions are immoral and amoral.
Where is our memory? We do not remember how many have been killed because of this kind of madness?
Where is our outrage that hatred and violence feeds on these candidates?
How not to raise their voices in response, to avoid the inevitable result when a mob mentality is released?
In fact, the Republican candidate for president must take immediate steps to place the lid on this Pandora’s Box before violence erupts. If someone is injured as a result of the actions of his campaign, the burden is directly on your soul.
As a nation, we need to take responsibility, each of us as individuals to come together as a nation against which the candidates unleashed.
We are a proud and tolerant nation. Let’s try.
Mary Beth Jost
I am deeply concerned, not just as a Civil Rights advocate, and not just as as a constitutional and first amendment lawyer and as an election attorney in California, but simply as an American at the election campaign tactics I am seeing in this 2008 Presidential election by the Republican party. Even as criticism mounts from both Democrats and Republicans, the tactics being employed by the Republican Presidential candidates are destroying any semblance of truth and fairness in the election process and using discrimination to try to gain votes.
Now we are hearing of the latest tactic by John McCain, the very candidate who previously criticized this tactic in a previous election – robo calls. Robo calls are automated telephone calls that are negative attacks on the other candidate, only instead of airing these ads on television, they come by way of the telephone, usually when you are having dinner.
John McCain only days before he started using these robo calls, criticized the Democratic candidate for allegedly spending more money than any campaign in history on negative ads. Whether this claim is right or not in terms of money, it does not appear to be right in its inference that Obama is using a greater percentage of his ads on negative ads. That would be John McCain’s campaign.
In his latest tactic, John McCain has clearly crossed the line once again by using these automated calls to tell voters that Barack Obama allegedly voted against a bill that would give care to babies born alive after abortions, that Democrats will enact an extreme leftist agenda if they take control of Washington, that Obama places Hollywood above America, that he has worked closely with a terrorist, and that Obama lacks the judgment to lead the country.
Now add the inferences by the Republican party and/or their candidates, surrogates and the people introducing the candidates at rallies that the Democratic candidate is unpatriotic, has an arab sounding middle name, is a person to be frightened of, or is a person who can’t be trusted, who has a hidden agenda, or who by virtue of an association with someone who did something when the candidate was eight years ancient, is a terrorist. Is it any wonder that a woman, at a rally like so many others for the Republicans where despise-filled shouts have been made in recent days, told John McCain she had read that Barack Obama was an Arab?
How, after all these years of improving race relations in this country, are these tactics and election advertisements being allowed to cause civil rights leaders and members of the public dread they are taking us back to times in this country that we thought were behind us? How can a candidate who claims he puts his country first make every attempt to divide this country? We all know that John McCain, who has a long and honorable past, is a better man than what we are seeing at his rallies or on one particular news station. Yet, we continue to see actions and comments at Republican rallies and now these robo calls that have now drawn the ire not just of civil rights activists but even the concern of other Republican Congressmen and Senators. Is it any wonder that Colin Powell, a Republican who served as Secretary of State, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and National Security Adviser under Republican Administrations has come out in support of Barack Obama and criticized the campaign tactics of John McCain, the latest of which is to infer that Obama’s policies are socialist.
In the last several elections, the focus of many of the most objectionable tactics were to pit religious voters against voters for whom religion was not an issue, based on perceived stances by one or the other candidate on religious issues. This type of insinuation has also been used this year against the democratic candidate, on the basis of an incorrect assumption by some and an intentional mischaracterization by others that since Obama was born in Kenya, he must be a Muslim.
More rage and consternation was brought to the surface this year with the strong showing by Hillary Clinton in the primaries and the selection of Sarah Palin as the vice presidential running mate of John McCain. With questions raised in particular toward Sarah Palin of whether she could be vice president and still be a excellent mother, women cried gender discrimination foul at the media.
Is it naive to question why a candidate’s religion ever enter into the debate? If the candidate says he won’t let it interfere with his being honest and evenhanded, shouldn’t that be the end of it? Why should a candidate’s age be a problem if they are knowledgeable and not in terrible health, if the Vice Presidential candidate is qualified as well? Why should a person’s gender ever be a problem? But to many voters, these aspects of a candidate are the most if not the only reason for how they will vote.
Perhaps we, as a nation, are forced to accept that at election time, some of people’s worst sides rise to the forefront in our election process, but shouldn’t we be better than that, and shouldn’t the persons we are questioned to elect be better than that?
If the polls are any indication, this year we may just see a backlash against those who would make discriminatory inferences, and whose party would use fake allegations as the basis for part of their campaigns. It may be naive, but it is hoped that based on a few comments made in the last few days by John McCain, before the election is over and with signs he is behind in the polls, John McCain will repudiate the statements made out of rage and dread by supporters at his rallies even more forcefully than in some earlier statements and again repeat that his supporters should be respectful of Barack Obama and his accomplishments. For at this time in our country’s history, our country can least afford to be torn apart by campaign strategies that have small to do with solving our country’s economic crisis.

For the first time in this rollercoaster of an election period, I am fed up and disgusted. I was able (somehow) to stomach Palin’s “getchas” and “betchas” and McCain’s painfully dull speeches, but I am not able to condone racism.
Let’s be clear — other than referring to Obama as “That one” and releasing an ad associating Obama with a “terrorist”, I do not believe McCain has said overtly racist statements towards Obama (yet, there is such a thing as coded language).
Most disturbing, but, is the recent McCain and Palin rallies in which people have called Obama a “terrorist” and “Obama Bin Laden” and have even been heard shouting “Treason!” and “Kill him!”
Not only is it terrifying to hear someone threatening violence to a Presidential candidate, but considering Barack Obama is the first African-American President, you cannot ignore the racial undertones. In this country, you must keep in mind our history of slavery and Jim Crowism. Less than a century ago it was customary for extremist groups and mobs such as the Ku Klux Klan to terrorize and murder black people. That is one of the first things that comes to mind when I hear someone shout “Kill him!” in reference to Obama.
Racism, both overt and aversive, is systematic and pervasive in our society. Racism and hatred towards black people — Obama in particular — is not “out of the ordinary”.
There have also been some troubling incidents that have come to my attention:
· An Obama supporter in London was show by a BB-gun at close range because he was wearing an Obama t-shirt and because he was black.
· A man in Georgia tried to sell t-shirts that depict Barack Obama as Curious George (the monkey starring in beloved children’s books).
· There is talk of the Bradley Effect, which is when people, worried to seem racist, tell the polls that they are voting for a black candidate but then change their mind in the privacy of the voting booth.
· In a speech given by John Ashcroft, he (deliberately?) referred to Barack Obama as “Osama”. Politically leanings aside, that’s not politically right.
The racism and personal attacks must stop. By calling him a Muslim and a terrorist, people are associating Barack Obama with “otherness” (nevermind that a) he’s not Muslim b) being Muslim isn’t a terrible thing). People seriously reckon: He’s Muslim — don’t trust him. He’s a “pal” of terrorists — don’t trust him. He’s black — don’t trust him. It’s about time people looked at the facts: Obama is a United States Senator with extensive credentials and a strong educational background. He is an upstanding citizen and a loyal father and husband. Quite frankly, I’ve had enough of ignorant people’s nonsense to say the least.
What are your thoughts on racism and its effect on this election? Have you heard of any other incidences of racism in the campaign? Please share your thoughts and tales.
The campaign of Republican John McCain has just released two web videos which highlight what the campaign feels is a national media bias in favor of Democrat Barack Obama in the 2008 Presidential election. It is asking people to vote for their favorite video.
This McCain campaign video release contest comes at the end of a week in which hundreds of members of the national media followed Barack Obama throughout the Middle East, Central Asia, and Europe on his fact finding mission. But, the same press coverage was not to be found when McCain took a similar trip a few months ago or when he more recently visited Colombia and Mexico.
Meanwhile the New York Times featured an editorial from Barack Obama and then refused to publish one written by John McCain. The McCain article was to appear on the paper’s op-ed page and was rejected because it was supposedly incompatible with the article from Sen. Barack Obama that the Times previously had published.
There are three questions about the news media that should be considered in this Presidential campaign. Is the national media as biased in election 2008 as it appeared to be in 2004?. Does John McCain make a point with his recent web video on media bias? Does the American public perceive media bias in favor of Barack Obama in election 2008?
To answer the last question first, the American public does detect media bias. In fact, according to a recent poll (Rasmussen), nearly half of Americans believe that the media is biased toward the candidacy of Democrat Barack Obama. In the same poll only 14% believe that the media favors Republican candidate John McCain.
Certainly, political partisans in both major parties often feel that their candidate is the victim of unfavorable media coverage. So, for a more objective view of media reporting in election 2008, consider only what the independent voter is saying in that same public opinion poll. Indeed, nearly 50% of these unaffiliated voters see a media with a pro-Obama bias while just 21% see unbiased coverage. Only 12% of those not connected with either major party believe the media is trying to help Republican John McCain.
Is this perception of media bias toward Obama by the public based in news reporting reality? To answer this question, let’s consider the results of the study of the media in election 2008 from Jounalism. org. The organization’s Project for Excellence in Journalism evaluates more than 300 political tales each week in newspapers, magazines, and television in order to measure whether each candidate is talked about in more than 25% of the tales.
This excerpt from their ongoing election media study describes the national media’s election coverage to date; . . “It was the sixth straight week since the general election started in which Obama, the presumptive Democratic nominee, loved a distinct advantage in the race for exposure over the presumptive Republican nominee, John McCain. Last week, Obama was a significant presence in 83% of campaign tales studied, vs. McCain in 52%. That advantage for Obama is only slightly higher than what he has loved throughout this early phase of the general election period.
In the six weeks since Hillary Clinton suspended her campaign and the general election phase started, Obama has been a significant factor in 78% of the tales and McCain in 51%. The closest they have come in coverage was the week of June 30 through July 6, when Obama loved an 11 percentage point advantage (73% of tales about Obama vs. 62% for McCain). ”
Certainly, an advantage of nearly 8-5 in media exposure is a significant benefit for any politician running for the highest office in the land. The extent of Obama’s favorable exposure from the national media indicates a distinct Democratic bias so far in this election campaign.
Consider that media bias was also perceived by the voting public just prior to the actual voting in the Presidential election of 2004. In a Fabrizio, McLaughlin, and Associates election night survey of 1,000 voters in twelve battleground states, 46% thought the media’s coverage of that election campaign was biased. 32% thought the Democrats were favored by the media while just 14% felt the same way about the media and the GOP.
Of course, in the last election, a national network and prominent news anchor became the news for promoting and defending forged documents in an attempt to influence the election for the benefit of the Democratic Party nominee. Dan Rather and CBS will continue discussions about that dubious matter in their civil litigation currently scheduled for this fall.
Indeed, a lack of national media objectivity in election 2008 may well be a replay of the Presidential campaign of 2004. It looks like John McCain may have a valid point when he highlights media bias in favor of his opponent. But, based on the media’s recent history of political election coverage and an attractive and articulate Democratic candidate, his campaign should certainly not be very surprised.
At 27 years ancient, Spanish race car driver Fernando Alonso captured the first race in the inaugural Formula One Singapore Grand Prix – this was Alonso’s first win of the current season and his 50th overall since he started racing professionally.
Sunday’s race was a thrilling affair, although reports are coming out that President of Ferrari Luca di Montezemolo is none too pleased with the event. Quotes published online have di Montezemolo criticizing the racecourse as being unsuitable for a Formula One event. He said that the track used for the first night event was better suited “for a circus. ” Whether this had any bearing on the outcome of the race is anyone’s guess.
Ten teams with a combined total of 20 drivers took to the circuit to compete in the event. In the beginning of the race, winner Alonso’s teammate, Brazilian driver Nelson Piquet, Jr. was the first casualty. Was it not for this mishap, the Italian team would no doubt have captured a one-two end. But, Piquet’s crash resulted in the safety car being brought out. This resulted in some confusion. It caused Ferrari’s Italian team of Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen to end up at the back of field. Piquet was followed by Robert Kubica (BMW-Sauber) and Nico Rosberg (Williams-Toyota), who finished up in the pit. But, this did not prevent Nico Rosberg from maintaining his second place position throughout the race.
The top eight drivers for the event were:
o Fernando Alonso (Renault)
o Nico Rosberg (Williams-Toyota)
o Lewis Hamilton (McLaren-Mercedes)
o Timo Glock (Toyota)
o Sebastian Vettel (STR-Ferrari)
o Nick Heidfeld (BMW Sauber)
o David Coulthard (Red Bull Renault)
o Kazuki Nakajima (Williams Toyota)
Alonso’s winning time was 1:57:16. 304. This was Alonso’s first win since last year’s Italian Grand Prix held September 7 to 9, 2007 at the Autodromo Nationale Monza, Italy. His win was not expected: “After qualifying, our homes were gone already. It was nearly over, but it shows that Formula One is unpredictable on Sunday. ”
The 2008 Formula One SingTel Singapore Grand Prix is the first Formula One race where artificial lighting was used. The lights, 1,500 lighting projectors, were positioned so that the beams took on the shape of the track.
The event also happened to be the 15th round of the FIA (Federation Internationale de l’Automobile) Formula One World Championship races. The event was held September 26 to 28 in Marina Bay, Singapore. The Singapore Grand Prix was formerly billed in the 1960s and 1970s as a Formula Libre event. In many ways this was an historic event as the first Formula One race to be held at night.
His team may not have won the Singapore Grand Prix, but McLaren-Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton is full of confidence. With three major Grand Prix races left to compete in for the year and points to spare, he and his team have reason to be hopeful. (They came away with six points in Singapore. )
The three huge events left on the calendar are the Japan Grand Prix to be held from October 10 to 12, The China Grand prix scheduled for October 17 to 19 and Brazil’s event to be held from October 31 to November 2.
In fact, even though settling for third place at the Singapore Grand Prix, Hamilton’s team may have place themselves in the position of finishing the season on top, having extended his team’s Championship lead. Hamilton reportedly said of the Singapore’s showing, “We only finished third, but we couldn’t really have questioned for more from the result – all I can do now is take one race at a time, while keeping one eye on the final result at the end of the year. ”
If you watch your TV in Palm Desert, California, San Diego, California, Orange County, Los Angeles, La Jolla, Del Mar, Pacific Beach, Carlsbad, Oceanside, San Marcos, Vista and Escondido or the cities of Huntington Beach, Westminster, Buena Park, Anaheim, Santa Ana, Costa Mesa, Irvine, Newport Beach, Corona del Mar, Laguna Beach, Laguna Hills, Buena Park, Temecula, Indian Wells, La Quinta or Palm Springs, and if you are a California Lawyer Media, a lawyer HQ choice or Joe the plumber, unless you turn on the news or read a newspaper, which has been heard a lot about media bias in 2008 presidential race.
Hillary Clinton’s supporters were alleged bias in the media because she is a woman. Barack Obama because he is a Black American. John McCain because he is ancient. And after Sarah Palin was chosen as the Republican vice presidential running mate. he was expelled again by the supporters of Sarah Palin. Without doubt, the plumbers will soon be allegations of bias against their profession.
But never criticizing media bias has increased as high as it has been since the choice of Sarah Palin as his running mate John McCain are running.
First were accusations of bias, following questions if he could run the country and still be a mother for her children. There has been criticism of the computer and charges of conspiracy to hide the right mother, her younger son. Then the critics when he learned that his seventeen year ancient girl was pregnant and unmarried.
Although many of the attacks against Palin came in blogs and less media, members of the Republican Party said they were proof that the media as a whole was biased.
After his first interview with Charles Gibson, it was alleged that Charles Gibson was condescending to Palin. Part of this has probably led the way Charles Gibson carries his glasses on his nose halfway make it look like you’re watching your interview subject. But most attacks against Charles Gibson came as a reflection of the Republicans to try to cover up Ms Palin is confused and poorly designed responses to certain questions.
But shielding Sarah Palin in the media, that the second interview was authorized to carry by Sean Hanity. In this interview he was shown what was to come in later interviews with this response: “Well, there is the danger of allowing some obsessive impartiality into question before us today. And it’s something that John McCain, too, its trajectory, showing that they can work both sides of the ship, which can overcome the partisanship that must be overcome to solve a problem like this . “Sean Hanity not blink.
But after weaving in the same group in an understandable format Malarkey, said in his interview with Katie Couric, only one third since he was elected to run with John McCain, “What I reckon Americans at the end of the day will be able to go back and look at history to see who is more apt to talk about solutions and wishing and hoping for solutions for some opportunity to change and really do it? ”
After one after another, more understandable questions softball Katie Couric, including Kathleen Parker, columnist and regular on Bill O’Reilly Factor, and a conservative who celebrated his selection first came to the conclusion that a problem for the excellent of the country should resign.
When Kathleen Parker has unfortunately been found to testify in his own column that Sarah Palin is out of his league, first by taking all the sails breathlessly to the assertion that the media were biased.
The media bias depends, unfortunately, not only in what is said but also what he says. When criticisms are made by the party of another candidate and members of the opposite sex is more likely that the marked bias by those who stand by the candidate. But when criticism is directed by a highly respected person of the candidate’s own party and his own style and criticism of this situation are serious, the candidate has a real problem and not because of media bias.
As the media and the lawyer of his choice, there is certainly a bias in the media by various TV channels, but seems less depending on whether the candidate is a bias against their gender, age or race, but rather based on the desirability of the business of broadcasting is biased in favor of Republican candidates or candidates of the Democratic Party.
Surprisingly there is less of a complaint could be made against two news channels that are well known to avid followers of one candidate over another. Even the candidates joked how some machines MSNBC for Obama and how many machines for McCain Fox News. These jokes do not seem to be an acceptance of bias news stations and less than an effort newscasters to remain impartial, even in the financial system.
When a broadcasting company or newspaper or talk show host is biased against a certain candidate, they will use all the critics who can make, truthful and not others, to persuade his listeners or readers viewers to vote one way and not another. This bias is even, but it seems less motivated by age bias, sexism or racial prejudice (though his attacks on candidates are sometimes in these categories) based on the trend elsewhere.
The presidential election of 2008, but, it appeared to many to be one of the dirtiest campaigns in history. And while the recent attacks have been increasingly based on the fact that the generation of dread in the minds of voters, we hope that these tactics, as terrible as they are, simply based on the advice of campaign aid trying to win votes in a poor quality, rather than being motivated by other reasons.

INTRODUCTION:
Worldwide, the real democracies are measured not only in the frequency of elections, but how free and honest elections, including the manner in which elections are competitive, but also how they are. Both the Presidency (U.S.) and Parliamentary (United Kingdom) forms of government, elections are a right measure of the strength of democracy. There are different types of elections. These include the general elections, elections, primary, etc.
Elections are choice-making process where the general public (those who are legally entitled to vote) to elect those who should rule over a given period, perhaps four or five years. In carrying out the elections and the election of the government of the day what people say is that the power given to the government belongs to the people.
ANALYSIS:
U.S. 2008 elections to be held November 4, 2008, presidential elections, with their vice-presidents. At the same time, new senators will be passed, there will be a couple of state and local elections, not to mention the election of new members of the House of Representatives. The elections will mark the 55th time that the country has held elections every four years in its history.
The general elections of 2008 will be a special election. Because there is something that spends more than half of all citizens of the United States has ever seen. This is because elections are the first time since 1928 that the country goes to polls without a president or a vice-president of the flag of the ruling party in elections.
That’s because neither President Bush (whose second term ends in the Constitution, can not compete), or Vice President Dick Cheney (flatly refused to run) will be the vanguard of campaigns.
Compared to other general election presidential elections of 2008 seems to be the most hotly contested will. This is mainly because no incumbent is running. Historically, incumbents have a relatively high risk of being elected. Second, the election of 2008 became a kind of choice online. In search of votes, many candidates have turned to the Internet. Consequently, the tale is in the process that the Republican candidate Ron Pol submitted records fall, he made history by raising $ 4. 2 million in one day on November 5, 2007.
Besides, there is a new debate in the coming political divide. With the support of African-American candidate Barack Obama more and more, new questions about whether the time is ready for America to have a black president are now commonplace.
Therefore, issues of the campaign went further this time, the issues going back several centuries, as the issue of slavery and the slave trade. In addition, issues of religion have been raised, especially after he was falsely rumored that democracy, African-American candidate Barack Obama was indeed a Muslim and had attended a madrassa, somewhere in the Philippines or Indonesia.
The voting process itself will start in December 2007. Currently, the front-runners have begun to emerge through analysis of election results and campaign kittens that have already been made.
February 5, 2008 will be a crucial time for the election process for more than 20 states with over half the population of the United States will carry out its party primaries then. From there, other events and vital dates not to be missed are
April 2008: This month the Constitution Party National Convention held in Kansas City, Missouri. After this event, during the month of May (23-26) 2008, the Libertarian National Convention will be held in Denver, Colorado. Later, in July 10-13, there will be a huge party in Chicago Illinois, as the Green Party’s 2008 conference will be held there. Denver, Colorado will hold its celebration in the second, 25-28 agosto 2008 Democratic convention will be held there. Minnesota has its share of fine agreement in the month of September (1-4), when it will host the Republicans.
After these agreements, the fire September 4, 2008, District of Columbia and 50 other states to the polls to elect members of the electoral college. After this exercise, the elected members of the electoral college to vote and elect the president and his vice president on December 15. The voters are counted on January 6, 2009, before the Houses of Congress, and the official opening will take place January 20, 2009.
January 6, 2009: Electoral votes officially counted in both houses of Congress.
January 20, 2009 opening day:.
With the 2008 presidential elections right around the corner, obviously the hot topic to surround the office, parent meetings, school campuses, meeting rooms and throughout the country. This presidential election is shaking ground with two women and an African-American and exploitation by both Vice President and President alike. Besides, who is running, the issues underlying the race are the topics that will be causing the most talk. Issues like the war in Iraq, foreign policy, energy and health care are all subject to obtaining crucial response from both candidates. But, the recent economic crisis happening in our economy, it is not surprising that most of the debate has been placed on this issue. Each side of the nomination is a different approach that might encourage voters to take a different approach in deciding who is ultimately going to vote. With all these new factors in the race and the pressures that come with nearly said election, some people tend to be neglected.
Recent discussions of the conference on health care has generally been toughest hit, but nothing extensive. People are wondering what the real change is that there will be in health programs, if a candidate is elected over another. An vital issue that has affected the medical industry is medical malpractice. In late summer, the rates of medical liability insurance have been frozen while the governor could properly address the situation. Unfortunately, at this moment that we experienced the economic crisis, which seriously affects the care of medical malpractice. What people want to know that Obama and McCain are they going to do with the freeze on medical malpractice, and the effects will be when the choice must be made in June Most likely, the release of medical liability insurance could significantly increase most peoples basic insurance premiums. This is a very serious because it affects the lives of so many so small time.
Medical malpractice is a serious problem that has affected millions of people each year. If our candidates more attention to this issue because I reckon that generally affect the election much. For our two candidates approach medical care in a very different, because his proposals are directly derived from other areas of their campaigns. To shed light on issues related to medical malpractice, we the voters need more and more vital to our concern about this problem. Thus, as a whole can choose the candidate who knows what to do when medical malpractice cases arise. If you or a loved one has been directly affected by medical malpractice, please contact a lawyer immediately. They will be able to stand up for you in a court of law and fight for their rights.
The 2008 presidential victory for Barack Obama and the Democrats sweep U.S. Senate and House of Representatives marked the end of the culture wars Christian right, says a new book Sex Scandal America: Politics and ritual Public shame.
“After three decades of growing influence and power, the fire attack on the right of well loved culture, especially sexuality, is in eclipse,” says author David Rosen. “This series of cultural wars over.”
The 1960s and 70s has led to the unprecedented sexual permissiveness in the United States. Since the advent of the miniskirt of the contraceptive pill, the American style, values, entertainment and politics has been a major upheaval. Higher divorce rates, group sex, partner exchange, one night, and acceptance of sex before marriage is defined as a period of experimentation and exploration. 1950 gave way to hedonism conservatism. casual sex, gay rights, abortion and free like was to find a dominant voice at the time a well loved televangelist Jerry Falwell formed the Moral Majority in 1979. Christian led a revolt to restore the government and, in essence, to dictate the morality of America.
During the 1980s, the Moral Majority, said an electorate of 50 million people. In 1985, operations Falwell had budgets of over $ 100 million per year. Their objective was to gain political power and suppress the growing influence homosexual mount a coordinated fight against pornography, and the fight against the ACLU.
For all the efforts of the Moral Majority, 80 have seen more of the same. David recalls the 80 listed as follows:
“The culture wars have been a rebellion against conservative-revolutionary against the 60s,” David said. “An alliance between Christians and Republicans turned a number of personal and social issues related to sex in an ethical nightmare. With inspiration from a fundamentalist religious fervor rooted in the Puritan movement Moral Majority has questioned the police sexual life of its citizens. ”
The religious right has been to limit sexual pleasure in the United States, to limit who can do it, when, where and how. He is deeply concerned about the sexualization of American fashion, advertising, television, film and media. Family values, “he proposed was a reaction to both wild 60s and 70s. For a excellent quarter century culture wars are a battle for the U.S. sexual soul.
But, the recent election to end the culture wars in a number of fronts. On the one hand, running with the Democrats in the White House and Congress, the conservative agenda is on hold for a while. In addition, because the nation is more concerned about the wars, erosion of the economy, energy independence and health care costs, there is small debate that rages in every respect to the hour – “hot” issues such as abortion, teen pregnancy, gay rights, or evolution. Culture Wars in the U.S. left in the conflict and exhausted.
“America is suffering from sexual schitzophrenia,” says David. “On the one hand, many politicians, clerics, and most media denounce what they consider the threat of illicit pleasures. On the other hand, the explicitness of consenting adults, youth and the promotion of increased sexual well loved culture. And amid a growing number and diversity of ordinary Americans in the pleasure of defying the restrictions acceptable. From the Puritans settled in New Jerusalem for nearly four centuries, the sexual life of America has built the tension. The nation has never dealt comfortable with human sexuality, wild or impulses, such as long condemned homosexuality as immoral or illegal. This unresolved tension obsessed with sex in American culture today. ”
Palm Springs, Los Angeles, San Diego and Newport Beach and Orange County lawyer entertainment, there is nothing to compare with the drama of the 2008 election. At least the entertainment value of this election has been able to keep people’s minds off the economy. Everyone has something to observe.
Is this a candidate improve business conditions in San Diego or Orange County more than the other? Does the selection as vice-chair may influence voters in a sector or another on the selection of candidates from other Vice-Presidency? What are the new attack ads viscous negative is a candidate to break the divide unfairly by others and the county?
If it were not for politics right now, there is nothing to be satisfied in the field of entertainment. Saturday Night Live ratings have soared due to one thing, politics. His skits about the election so much interest that now shows on Thursdays and Saturdays.
All the celebrities still often suspect that the new parts coming in nightclubs, to be arrested, to have children, weight gain selling baby pictures, lose weight, they all seem to behave.
Thus, the entertainment attorney, I must say that thanks to God for the politicians. The policy serves to be the subject of lengthy discussions and something that I never discuss on a first date, is suddenly the topic of the day. And talking about theater. . . .
The first thing we hear that we’re home from work and turn on the TV, is that the economy is on the brink of a deep hole and if we give 700 billion U.S. dollars at the peak of U.S. $ nearly $ 400 billion has already been recognized financial institutions, life as we know it will disappear. I would have imagined such dire consequences before the announcement, though foreigners need to invade and 700 billion dollars to build the largest radius of firearms. But this announcement has not been in a remake of The War of the Worlds, which made the news on CNN and everywhere.
And then there was the drama of the rescue plot has been established. Sure, it is not. There was a breakthrough. Oops, spoke too soon. The McCain campaign is suspended. No, incorrect again. Then the bailout is approved and goes into a tailspin in Europe nearly immediately that Sarah Palin star is fading and the McCain campaign goes to landfill. Then the negative campaigning starts in earnest.
Suddenly, nobody cares what the best films have been box office for the week. Are they the same films? This political drama is too excellent to pass up. Besides, who can not afford the popcorn and drinks in the movie more?
Now people are rushing home to see the latest poll numbers and see the latest skits on “Saturday Night Live. Zingers What the candidates from each other? Will Sarah Palin be able better respond to your ridiculous question answers she gave rides Katie Couric? is a letter going to keep stringing McCain.
And you investigate and follow a horse race. First one candidate is ahead by a nose, and the other by a hair. After a candidate becomes a burst of speed as the other rushes to the cable.
This breaks a football match on a mile. This election has everything and say they always save their best ads for the end. Do you dare touch that line. This is entertainment for all ages.

By next October 12th one of three Formula One races were held on the Fuji circuit in Japan, the other two races are China and Brazil, respectively.
Last year in Japan, the McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton has been crowned the winner. On this occasion, the race continues to build other expectations Hamilton leads the drivers’ standings closely followed by Ferrari’s Felipe Massa and BMW-Sauber’s Robert Kubica.
It became a very different Formula One year than expected, mainly because of all the incredible situations that occurred in each of the fifteen races already completed, in which all the drivers, they attended special. We, the fans of Formula One, saw action throughout the world, from the first race in Australia, where Lewis won his first title of the year, followed by the race in Malaysia, where the champion of Formula One Kimi Räikkönen showed his driving skills by grabbing the title. In addition, we have seen flawless performance Massa is growing steady as he won a total of five races for the Italian team Ferrari, a huge success for Brazil as the second Ferrari.
Another key was the Canadian Grand Prix where the Polish Robert Kubica won the race, giving the BMW-Sauber, a real momentum in the top three best teams in Formula One this season. Two additional surprises should be published are those of the Hungarian Grand Prix, where McLaren second driver Kovalainen took the title and the incredible victory of the Toro Rosso driver, German Sebastian Vettel at Monza, a few weeks. Again, these situations illustrate the complexity and uncertainty of these sprints are, nothing is certain until the first vehicle crosses the end line.
There have been some disappointments better things were expected from drivers such as Spanish Fernando Alonso, who currently leads Renault and world champion Kimi Raikkonen, who has not yet found the winning formula to retain the title, because we know that is not saved for a second consecutive year. Raikkonen has been but a lack of consistency in performance, which has experienced several mechanical problems and for whatever reason is not the same thing we saw last year. These are the reasons Hamilton, Massa and Kubica are above him in the rankings and it is very likely that the situation remains as it is today.
As the Spaniard Fernando Alonso, it was a silent year for his career as he got out of the honor that followed, when he drove for McLaren. We know that your choice to drive for Renault was mainly due to their struggle in the Formula One industry and intelligence liaison was connected. Despite his low profile performance, Alonso triumphed at the Singapore Grand Prix and gave the victory to his team that they had not been long.
The new world champion will be crowned during the first week of November, just after the conclusion of the Brazilian Grand Prix, and this will be a new chapter in the history of Formula One world as neither Hamilton, Massa or Kubica was the world champions before.
The editors view on the elections in 2008 (before the death of Benazir Bhutto)
It is a common thought that the person reading the newspapers of Pakistan can not be appropriate to give a clear thought that what is happening in Pakistan. second is the government of Musharraf has talked about the responsibility of the media in Pakistan’s development, takes on the character of the media even more suspicious. Third, the common men are not able to know the difference between the opinions of the authors, a newspaper column. Most people are just beginning to read a small selection of their titles. And try to learn the truth. But after a week when someone questioned what the main question is, do not respond. For some reason, they thought they should be a piece of writing that can provide a comprehensive analysis of elections. So I selected two English newspapers to know the Aurora and publishers of new editions and copy your website from December 1 December to 21 May 2007. I make an effort to obtain their views on the upcoming elections, political parties and the Musharraf government. Generally all items are in one way or another related to elections. This article gives an overview of the events of three weeks and suddenly, the reader can judge whether a prediction or analysis of a newspaper was fact or fiction.
About elections in January of Dawn (“The task ahead” Dec. 1) suggests that, eventually, elections will be held in peace, for the reason that the promises made by Musharraf to withdraw emergency PCO can not make everyone pleased and fragment the opposition boycott of elections by the PML (N) and the IC have an effect on the credibility of elections. An fascinating phrase “There is more that the elections did not meet the APDM. A prerequisite for an election more honest and transparent is the need to lift restrictions on the media, shows that Aurora is not supposed to work APDM seriously to lift curbs on the media. Therefore Alba has emerged as a proposal to the concerned authorities and the general public.
Adopting a clear perspective on the political boycott of Dawn (“The negotiations, not threats” 02 December) condemned the APDM in these terms: “The APDM is far from clear on what is Beyond the boycott. “And on the other hand criticized the composition of the present caretaker government and Election Commission of Pakistan. But at the same time showing the mirror of the opposition in these terms:” As regards the composition of the current configuration and guardian of the electoral commission, the opposition is justified in raising questions about the fairness of elections. But the opposition also must share responsibility for the current disaster because of its inability to reach a position unified with regard to respect of the dictatorship in Islamabad whose strength is, among other things, on the basis of the disunity of their adversaries. “The Alba not only points to problems with the portrait, but also gives proposal for healing the syndrome. “The only way to place aside all these concerns of those who are willing to participate in elections and to convince the boycotters to join the fray is that the President convene a meeting of all parties to resolve all differences and some changes to avoid insults being cast in the electoral process. “All the opposition parties place a question mark over the credibility of the electoral process, leaving only PML Q and Mollan Sahib. The Dawn (The” common purpose “on December 5) represents this thought, as such “any election in the circumstances is not acceptable to all opposition, except perhaps Fazlur Rahman Mollan. What credibility of an election the former ruling party and its leader officially designated for the opposition will be free and honest, nobody knows? News (Stepping into the Future “Dec. 1), considers this situation in a boycott” At the same time, the company statement of President Musharraf that elections would proceed as scheduled in January, and that “no one would make an obstacle to the transition to democracy” are welcome. They give an indication of the desire to make a full return to the interruption of the democratic process. Given the examples in the Historically, political parties would do well to participate, rather than organizing a boycott. The full participation of groups representing all shades of opinion is really the best way to strengthen the system. “The news (” Free Aitzaz Ahsan “Dec. 3) a complaint has been filed” Aitzaz is, by any criterion, a well loved politician, a brilliant orator and a successful lawyer – when he is the man the government is so worried of came to be caged for 30 days. It is also a candidate in the election and January 8 How can lure their voters if he is detained. This suggests that the government is doing in your case does not only the manipulation of pre-poll – and the most flagrant. “The next day, The News (Olla” Dec. 4) “The only problem that each side is very strong and vehement the credibility of the election to hold a truly free and honest. This is the largest challenge facing President Musharraf and has already indicated that if the results of the investigation are unacceptable Jan. 8 can leave the scene. This can be regarded as a sign of weakness, but the best option as a civilian president would make the country with honesty and sincerity above the political fray, leave some of its allies paternalistic past, sitting with top leaders of political parties in their giving respect, making a transparent and free from dread and will therefore make uncontested elections and more on the problems instead of himself. “Criticizing a boycott of elections (” Mr. Boycott “Dec. 10) suggests” Boycott is on the lips of politicians, we approach the elections in January 2008, and since it is not clear which party, if at the end a period of ritual postures, they boycott the elections. boycotts have a checkered history in terms of success, and any “boycott” of the electoral process by the parties is likely to cause injury to themselves rather than institutions and processes who chose to boycott. One could say that in this case, a boycott of the process to remove those so involved more levers of power than they already are, and do small to revive their parties are still in recovery From years of absence. ”
About disagreement between the camps and Nawaz Bhutto, Dawn (Split on Boycott Dec.
evaluates the grounds of “technical point of view, the talks were held between the ARD and the APDM. But all practical purposes, have been the two former prime ministers who have explored the possibility of adopting a common position on the general election. The team of the ARD was relatively homogeneous, but the diversity in the APDM delegation does not seem to have entered the path of consensus in the field of Nawaz, Professor Khursheed Ahmad presence symbolizes the hard line adopted by the faction of MMA Qazi. The two sides also differ in their attitude toward President Pervez Musharraf. While Benazir Bhutto had suggested he was ready to work with a President without uniform, Nawaz Sharif made it absolutely clear that President Musharraf, whether in or out of uniform is not acceptable to him. “And in the approach to be valid after Nawaz Dawn “Musharraf may be uniform, but the state apparatus is not as dictatorial.” In the feudal and capitalist civilization in Pakistan, all facets of life is under their influence . It is evident in the days before the election when the parties give tickets for this segment of society. Dawn (“feudal” Dec. 9) raises the curtain on the site of the next term in these terms: “For decades The company in Pakistan has undergone many changes, but one of the main components of our body politic has resisted all change: the control of feudal political institutions of the country … According to the report, three major national parties – PPP The PML-N, PML-Q – and the Sindh-based PML-F has not made efforts to diversify the class representation in Parliament and continued to give party tickets overwhelming number of feudal lords. The News (“Take the initiative” 02 December) shows another side of the coin is in these words: “In recent years, the erosion of ideology – at least respected by the religious parties – the political left in Pakistan behind him a situation where policies on key issues such as privatization, welfare and taxation is no longer included in election campaigns. But, the exercise has been largely reduced to fighting between powerful individuals, whose personal standing, influence and wealth determines the outcome of competition for a particular seat. In other words, elections have become small more than a kind of wrestling competition between these strong men and sometimes women, whose success or failure is better or less related to the program of its parts. ”
From the beginning, with foreign hands are involved in Pakistani politics. Dawn (“The real constituency?” Dec. 9) gives details of the situation. “Accountability to the people is a fundamental principle of democracy. It is right that we are living in times dictatorial, but public opinion was unimportant in Pakistani politics, even in times of democracy, engineering or otherwise. Our leaders in recent decades, if Benazir Bhutto, Nawaz Sharif or Pervez Musharraf, turned to foreign shores for the validation and consolidation of power. If it does not work, and at the incorrect end of the power equation of our politicians make a beeline for Washington and London to try to destabilize the incumbents in Islamabad. Your right constituency, apparently, not the people of Pakistan but the United States and its allies in Europe and the Middle East – and of course the headquarters in Rawalpindi, in some cases …. The image abroad is much more vital than the view at home. When elections can be manipulated, and the voice of losing the confidence of the people is not a primary concern. We are a country that imported two prime ministers, the World Bank in Washington and the Citigroup in New York. But, our leaders speak of “sovereignty” and lose no opportunity to condemn foreign interference. .. We are alone to blame for any interference in our internal affairs. ‘Advice’ from abroad has been to all the bows, which surprises us that the Saudi envoy Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry can answer, when former Pakistan prime ministers and colleagues Chief Justice filed, friends and admirers can not? Or that foreign diplomats have been giving advice to local politicians in the context of elections, or visit the offices of media prohibited by the emergency? Turkish President recently met with political leaders in Pakistan, up to prepare them on how to deal with the military. Without a doubt, has some experience in this area, but only in the context of Turkey. ”
Criticizing the boycott policy and suggests a way for political parties Alba (“PML-N in the” December 11) I write these lines “The drama of the boycott, which should have been behind us, took a bizarre turn. Having failed to reach a consensus on the issue of the boycott at its meeting criticism on Sunday, participants APDM had neglected his differences with the announcement that all parties are free to follow their own path. Not surprisingly, no one, the PML-N has chose to enter the electoral fray only to learn they can not get out of the APDM that Mian Nawaz Sharif was founded in July … how the parties participating in elections price now depends on many factors such as their ability to enter into participation agreements in the seat, the position taken in the restoration of the judiciary before the OCP on the campaign and its success in mobilizing voters who have been depoliticized over years and are generally apathetic and cynical about regarding the political game is played in the country. ”
PML Q has designed its manifesto with 5 and D’s made promises to the nation. Dawn (“The exhibition season” Dec. 12) clarifies the game by stating that “The two leaders said that the PML would not support a presidential system, despite the constitutional system as it exists today has been stripped of Parliamentary and presidential character in all but name …. Like all clear, the agenda of the PML-Q has goals and promises, if fulfilled, can help end poverty, make equal, distribution of education, people of a better life and take Pakistan into the 21st century. But, once in power, parties tend to ignore its election promises, and the bureaucracy that develops and implements plans often comply with the conditions imposed by donors. “Although the news (” the Five S OF “Dec. 12) criticizes the same phenomenon in these terms:” It is also right that the two manifestos published details to date, with its carefully plotted words and slogans, they have something that resembles a letter circulated by a group of Boy Scouts or similar organization. There is something a bit childish on orientation of the effort, especially since the document such as the PPP, no made no effort to provide an overview of the ideological basis of political parties should follow, but basically reads like a list of promises or solemn commitments. It also says something about the broader role of manifestos in politics of Pakistan. fact is that the statements contained in these documents rarely or never implemented. And the knowledge that reality is Perhaps one reason why the parties can not afford to let so many huge words and phrases to master, based in a system where checks and balances of more distant or be set aside, and powers of the people to retain or remove the leaders of foreign aid, or amend the electoral process itself is unlikely to be called upon to deliver on its promises …. Whereas in its manifesto, and in speeches at the launch party leaders of the PML-Q has talked about democracy within and outside the party, the reality is that during his five years in power, the party has done small to build a culture. “Commenting on the manifesto of the PML-N new (” theme “Restoring December 17) wrote these words” Using the acronym “Restore” the PML-N joined the sudden wave of ads shown by the political parties , focusing on the return of judges filed and the end of military role in politics. The seven letters of the word “stand RESTORE” for the restoration of the judiciary, democracy and the Constitution of 1973 The elimination of the role military in politics, security of persons and property, tolerance, reconciliation, general relief for the poor and education and employment. As those announced by the PPP and the PML-Q in the last month, the agenda of the PML-N is obviously incredibly ambitious. ”
Only lawyers are left to continue with their position to boycott the elections. Rest of the major parties have chose to participate in elections. Dawn (“Lawyers and the boycott” Dec. 14) describes this as “the choice of Mr. Aitzaz Ahsan to withdraw permanently from the choice seems to be consistent with the legal community to boycott the January 8 vote. Position of the lawyers, is that those who are the choice to participate in the general election of the legitimate government of Musharraf …. The politicians have not shown unanimously boycott. Maulana Fazlur Rahman went to the elections has divided the MMA, and the camp boycott collapsed when the PML-N nearly defected to the other side. The boycott is now limited to the Jamaat-i-Islami, and several smaller parties. position of principle, the legal community against Mars, President 9 decisions and the adoption of the OCP will go down in history as unprecedented in terms of sacrifices rendered. But, they often feel uncomfortable about the danger of the legal community to get politicized. “The News (” The Middle Way “Dec. 7) raises the question of judicial role of the new collection by these words” It’s a fact, and rightly pointed out by Mr Malik, that hundreds of district judges , magistrates and civil courts throughout the country have been transferred with immediate effect by the provincial chief justices higher courts before the announcement of election schedule. These are the trial judges to become official and return are key players in the electoral process. Appeals against their decisions to go to a higher court and the Supreme Court today, and this is attended by judges who took fresh oath under the PCO. Thus, the construction of the whole election has been constructed so any unwanted political candidate can be eliminated from the process at any time. This is where the system could be rigged as has been amply demonstrated by the rejection of the application of both Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif. News (“The President of the Court,” Dec. 13) sheds light on Musharraf PROMIC “So the election of 2008 is moving slowly to become what President Pervez Musharraf had once described as the” mother of all elections. ” It is also reassuring that the president has said publicly that he will accept the results and try to work with someone who comes to power after the elections. Despite his assertion that “I am in touch with people well, I’m not a troublemaker as” may sound like an oversimplification or a bit optimistic, at least seems to be sounding the notes right to work with a elected parliament really …. While Ms. Bhutto and Sharif Lord to show his strength in the polls, Musharraf has a lot more hard to achieve. He must prove his words, often repeated, which is neutral and does not endorse any political party. It takes more than a few statements to make especially if you look at how the resources of state and government were seized by the former Chief Minister of Punjab, while he and his party will try to win a “superior” in the province electorally-crucial. ”
Ms. Bhutto’s analysis that the judges had been expelled from politics before the promulgation of the November 3 Provisional Constitutional Order that sent them packing, and that elections will be honest, the Aurora (weird logic of Bhutto “Dec. 15) gives the history of the emergence of political leadership in Pakistan. ” A Sense of Wonder is also being felt by many about his warning that the January 8 election will be fraudulent. Is she the only one who can draw on the full game plot drafted by the devil, so to speak? This sense of paranoia is really disturbing … Bhutto was certainly a excellent memory, but tends to disappear and not selective. There has been a historical development in which never the affirmation of independence by civilians players have gone unpunished, and the list goes on. These days, it is useful to recall that Mr. Zulfikar Ali Bhutto made his political debut under martial law and took power after elections held under military rule. Mr. Mohammed Khan Junejo was chosen by General Ziaul Haq. They asserted their independence in time, Bhutto paid with his life, his work Junejo. No credit judges expelled for its stand in 2007, “The new (” not in the beginning, “Dec. 15), on the other hand supports civil society and the movement of lawyers and praise Aitaza Ahsan election boycott” The choice SCBA President Aitzaz Ahsan to withdraw nomination had been filed in a district of Lahore that the candidate of the PPP, immediately raised their status as a man of principle. In explaining its choice, which departs from the party line Aitzaz has been affiliated for decades, said he had chose to stick to the legal community who had bravely led the struggle for judicial independence . ”
Prediction of some facts about the next parliament Aurora (“weird logic of Bhutto” Dec. 16), said: “The amendments to the Basic Law since November 3 can not be undone, but by a two thirds majority, and are all indications that the January 8 elections will give us a hung parliament where the opposition will be unable to collect as many votes. In other words, the lower house will be published next month will be presented with a fait accompli. What is the position of the PML (Q) are in the assembly is hard to say, but should not be beyond the power of the president to manage two-thirds majority, with support from the king’s party ” and those who are willing to follow the front. That the president chose not to, and amendments have been part of the Constitution to show that he has chose not to give the House endorse the same condition. “The next day an editorial in (Pakistan in its labyrinth), Dawn, this is very impotent for the people of Pakistan” Regarding the January 8 elections are concerned, there was very small in the president’s speech on Saturday evening to allay the fears of the opposition to the transparency of the ballot, even though Musharraf has invited a number of foreign observers to witness the process. At the same time, he said very clearly that the crisis will not authorize or reject the election results by anyone. In these circumstances, the poet Faiz prophetic lines come to mind: “Take a vow of fidelity or separation, what you want / what we do control? How do we adopt? “The people of Pakistan have never been so powerless to shape their political destiny.” And the same day in another editorial, “voters list” It expresses concern about the participation of women voters in the elections “Here we can say that an issue that must be addressed by the Election Commission and NGOs working the core level and civil society is women’s participation in the electoral process. In years past, women have increasingly participated in the polls, thanks to the efforts of advocacy groups that have campaigned to raise awareness of educate politicians. But what gives rise to major concerns is that in some districts women’s participation has been effectively zero. This was attributed to a patriarchal culture with older men who allowed women to vote. This is reprehensible. The Electoral Commission should investigate this matter and take steps to prevent the use of social pressure to prevent women from exercising their right to vote. ”
Even critics dawn hanging next parliament, is in favor of participation in elections. “The participation of most major political parties in elections is the right choice, even if the PPP and PML-N said they take part in the protest. As the two do not agree on a list of demands as a precondition for participation in the hope that elections could take place under a more equitable dispensation, but now, every time. It is clear that those who chose to stay away have left the field open to his opponents, who could do small more than disappoint their constituents involved. Joint Implementation is perhaps the forgiveness of his sin of being a party to the 17th Amendment and now refuses to do anything that might be considered the adoption of measurement systems Musharraf once again. Mr. Imran Khan and nationalists have no faith left in the current system because they believe that the next parliament as the outgoing remain under the control of the president. “While the ‘new (” reversal of roles December 11) after the choice of Nawaz to participate in elections, describing the next parliament with the words “In this situation, it also poses a dilemma for the group in power and even President Musharraf. A two-thirds majority in the new assembly is essential for the presidential camp, so the stamp necessary parliamentary approval can be given to post-November 3 decisions. The choice of the PML-N to participate in polls make this task more hard – at least if a free and honest election is held. ”
Some political parties have expressed their concerns about electoral fraud and threatened to launch agitation after the election. Dawn (“Handling and agitation” Dec. 21) recalled the history of Pakistan’s policy and guidance for the future “The government has lifted the emergency on Dec. 15, leaving only three weeks for the campaign. The business class is, of course, very pleased with the government. People might have remained poor, but the economic benefits to Pakistan in the wake of 9 / 11 have gone primarily to the entrepreneurial class that has prospered at the expense of the people. For Therefore, this class has no reason to fund an anti-Musharraf (read anti-American) agitation. In fact, very few tycoons to contest elections and is likely to be the parliament because of its power to buy votes. If, therefore, some parts are plotting a mass agitation after the January 8 vote, you must read the situation. As the events since March 9 showed, lawyers and journalists turbulence did not cause a well loved backlash, and it is unlikely that people will respond with zeal to stir anti-government as they did in 1977. ”
A film entirely appropriate, the recent Hollywood movie, Swing Vote (2008) seeks to build on the current race for the U.S. presidential election, with Obama and Clinton heating things. The route taken to represent the satirical political realities of a nation going to the polls is a kind of fatigue towards the end is more focused on the treatment of personal grievances to issues.
welcomes us to the screen by Kevin Costner as Bud Johnson and Madeline Carroll fifth grade daughter Molly settled in the small poor town in New Mexico. A degenerate, barely used, the drunken father is convinced by a smart girl and responsible to vote in the presidential election. This last one does not seem drunk melodrama Dy increases thereafter. The intelligent and politically aware Molly manages to sneak the school official sleeping to vote on behalf of his father. But, a malfunctioning machine average rating sheets blocked the voting ends.
It is followed by a wave of frenzied voting Bud grilled by the suitors. The camera zooms in on the house of the unfortunate and the world waits impatiently. Who get the vote to choose when they recast? A new political face of the leviathan raises its head as presidential candidates start to push for Bud’s vote. lust political pandering despise, the secondary market and the average smears servility cons civil existence. Excellent intentions, amusing moments, moments of rage, foolishness and endless political ambitions – “Swing Vote” raises a cacophony of human realities.
Towards the end, Bud takes a deep breath, bombastic speech marked by wisdom teeth and a burning desire to achieve real change to the fabric to run the U.S. president. The type of swing votes, but, is still suspended as the film goes into the flower of the word. Kevin fine performance after a long hiatus! Wake up all the children who realize the power to “make a difference where you are!
The last four days have been anything but civil, but, this has been the modus operandi of this election cycle. Obama has promised to take public financing and McCain has promised a positive campaign, neither kept their promise. This is why it is called politics. It has been said repeatedly that Barack Obama could not close the deal. Since it is election day, what will?
Newsmax raise millions to make the connection between Jeremiah Wright and clear, and Barack Obama in battleground states. The polls have tightened significantly in states like advertising has an impact.
In addition, an audio tape in which Obama said in January that the bankruptcy of “dirty coal” has played huge time by Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh to look like he wants to bankrupt all blue collar workers. How will you play in critical Ohio next to Pennsylvania and Missouri? Seems to have an impact, but enough to pull an upset McCain? I doubt it.
That is how I see it.
Four states will be our “His title this afternoon: Ohio, North Carolina, Florida and Missouri. These four states totaling 73 electoral votes! Polls are everywhere, but, I see four of them by 1-2 percentage points of difference. Here’s the problem for McCain. He must win all four states and five other states that Bush won in 2008. In other words, McCain has run the tables, we must draw three cards to a straight line, or winning a triple trifecta.
Get the difficulty? I am sure that McCain and his team!
We could know who the next president will be tonight at 7:00 (CST). Ohio and North Carolina near the head, while Florida and nearby Missouri 6:30 to 7:00. If Obama wins one of these, it is the next president of the United States. And if it is not huge enough, here are the final estimates for seven analysts political polls,
Zogby………………. . . . 311-174-53 Rasmussen………. . . . 313-160-65 Karl Rove…………. . . . 338-200-0Dick Morris…………. . 355-133-50Larry Sabato………. 364-174-0CNN………………. . . . …291-157-90Real Clear Politics…278-132-128
My projection. . . . . . . . . . . . . Barack Obama wins! He concludes the transaction.
Since I am an advocate of diversity and equality, the U.S. presidential election has huge implications for our country and around the world. I like this country today. Today, America has a different energy. People are energized. There is hope in the air.
Hope is a healing, a unit developed in this country that has not existed hitherto. The President-elect Barack Obama is not elected to office through the black vote in this country. It took a lot of whites, Latinos and others in the well loved vote enough to influence the electoral vote. And is that by working together for the common excellent which has caused this historic day to occur.
Obama is right when he says he does not do it alone. It took all of us collectively to find a man in office whose platform is the unity and equality and fundamental human rights for all. Today I am proud of the American people.
I come from a Republican family and especially the Republican side of the country. This influence on my development can not be ignored. I can see the value of the Republican platform. But, when it comes to issues that are of importance and significance for me this year was sent Obama worries me.
My brother, a very conservative Republican, called me Tuesday, encouraging me to stay home and not vote. He knew that I would vote for Obama, as I knew it started to vote for McCain. When he knew he could not speak for the vote, tried to convince my liberal way of thinking was incorrect. I need to wake up and see things the “right” position.
That’s what I mean when I talk about diversity issues. I fully support the right of my brother to vote for McCain. If McCain is the candidate who represents its major problems, it would be stupid to vote for someone else. Respect their right to vote. I want to vote. And I hear your concerns and try to know where it comes from his mind.
I know he is intelligent. I know he is passionate about the issues. And I want it. I want to see things from their point of view. As a person advocating the recognition of diversity is what is needed. In the workforce, we must listen to those who are different from us and try to see things as they come, acknowledging that they have had different experiences, exposure to different things and values cultural backgrounds.
Although not reckon it is possible to know the other because he or she is not, you can do your best to know things from their point of view. This does not mean you should accept. You can always know why he or she believes it and maintain their own position.
This does not mean that one of you is a excellent and evil. It just means you see the situation differently. That’s the beauty of this country. Everyone has a voice. Everyone is entitled to his opinion. All citizens over 21 have the right to vote for the candidate of your choice.
The voice of the people of the United States in 2008, has been heard. I hope we can come together in this election and help our nation and its people forward. I hope we can place aside small differences and work together for the common excellent. It is my sincere hope for our country, our businesses and our communities. Are you ready to do their part?

American voters going to the polls tomorrow. As the hours pass, the battle for the post of leader of the free world “to be attacked by two senators high level is widely debated in all corners of the nation. The country has seen both candidates campaigning hard for the last two years. Representative of the Democratic Party Barack Obama has grown with a masterful race campaign while Republican candidate John McCain has risen from the dead in the primary season, fighting valiantly against better financed rivals. The campaign tested most of the candidates’ qualifications. Fascinating discussions were the lessons learned in the management of critical issues suddenly, making sure to send the right message to their supporters. The policies proposed by both candidates actively voted, approved the opinions and debates. detailed proposals Obama’s policies on health care, wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, taxes and economic recovery have been a titanic struggle for Iraq proposals of McCain, taxation, health, housing and trade. The last two years there has been a steady increase in support for them from various quarters. 2008 presidential campaign is not just the buzzing streets of Washington, online campaigns on sites choice allowed the world to better know the future face of America. Any opinions, debates, polls and many more events have captivated people around the world in the long battle for the White House. Minekey, a chat network line, with two million users worldwide has generated over one million views. The current political scenario in the country has brought new players, all keen to share their views and opinions on the latest new elections. In fact, an enthusiastic 83% have already voted for Obama, showing the trend leaning toward popularity. But, the two parties, the American people are united in the cause of election and selection of the best both. They are ready for a major change, expecting an exciting end to the long battle. Democrats U.S. investigations can change the face of many pressing problems in the world. Thus the final hours of dollars every minute millions to the United States.
What happened to John McCain and Palin rallies is appalling and reprehensible. A country that brags about freedom and justice for all, but can be divided by prejudice and despise, embarrasses our desire to become world leaders. We are known for having a higher education system, but, show the unfathomable ignorance.
At that time, 232 years of history of democracy more alive in the world have this dichotomy heat through a presidential campaign should give us pause to examine our individual and national soul.
The undertow of prejudice in this country has been poured into the race to include religion and ethnicity.
Now, the Republican candidates have made this black hole to try to win votes in this election. Smiling and the exercise of his speeches that “kill him” traitor, “” treason, “” Off with his head “was shouted by the audience gives the patina of approval to the seeds of intolerance and despise lead to mob mentality. Their actions are immoral and amoral.
Where is our memory? We do not remember how many were killed because of this kind of madness?
Where is our outrage that hatred and violence on the flow of these candidates?
Why not raise his voice in response, to avoid the inevitable result when mob mentality?
In fact, the Republican candidate for president must take immediate steps to place the lid on this Pandora’s box before violence erupts. If someone is injured as a result of the actions of his campaign, the burden is directly on your soul.
As a nation, we must assume the responsibility of each of us as individuals, to come together as one nation against what these candidates have raised.
We are a proud nation and tolerant. Try.

This year’s presidential election in the United States is probably the most vital election in many of our lives. This article does not convince you to vote one way or another, but to provide information on changes and solutions for each candidate supported without focusing on it does not matter what we see in most traditional media. When voting, you must have a clear understanding of what policies, laws and bills that take effect on President oficina.Al Like most of history has shown, the Democrats and Republicans have both an intelligent vision of how we believe we can improve the state of our nation. They see the same problems, but each has very different forms of the unpopularity of George W. soluciones.La Bush has allowed the Senate and the House to defeat Democratic candidates and current national polls show that Barack Obama is the construction of four per cent more than his rival John McCain. The small term effects of their decisions have allowed nearly a given that fact, but with the president’s power to veto and the Republicans in the Senate that exist and the potential for disrupting the house has become very hard Change made. So far, Republicans have blocked more than 90 different proposals making it the most in the history of either party in a small period of time. The Democrats desperately need a Democratic president to make changes in their view, help our country. Not all Republicans say they are on the same page as our current president, though most votar.Aquí same time there is a list of what are the main issues and positions of the Iraq war voted for candidato.La McCain believes war and our country to attain a level of success, but small progress has been demonstrated. He is ready to leave this war will continue while you are taking, because you reckon it’s for our own safety. Obama voted against the war majority believes that we must have left the country in an estimated 16 months. Since the U.S. invasion of Iraq in 2003 over 4000 Americans were killed, about 55,000 insurgents dead, 50,000 and 100,000 Iraqi civilian deaths (up to 600,000 according to some sources), more than two million Iraqis displaced from their households, and 800 million taxpayer dollars were spent. The estimated growth of the insurgency and attacks has increased over 1000% since the initial invasion of Irak.Salud McCain thinks giving tax breaks to help the cost of healthcare is the next step to ensure more people U.S.. The United States remains the only major industrialized country not Universal.Impuestos Health McCain meets Bush on the belief that personal income exceeds $ 250,000 should pay a tax rate much lower incomes below $ 250,000. The belief is that just because they have more than they should not have to give more, because they do not provide the same benefits as someone who earns less. Obama believes that people should be taxed the same at any level of income. If Obama is to take power, fiscal adjustment should be enough money to pay for universal health care plot. Election of paris is not new. In fact, Las Vegas Oddsmaker Jimmy “The Greek” Snyder gained fame and credibility (which later led to a spot on the CBS NFL preview) when, after finding that women are not men of confidence wore mustaches, predicted today that President Harry S. underdog Truman would defeat New York Governor Thomas E. Dewey in the race for the White House in 1948. Or so the tale goes.
The irony is that Nevada bookmakers accept paris on elections. The reason is often cited that as a premium entertainment to vote like the Oscars, someone knows the results of the vote in advance, but there is something sick about the game of mixing and politics.
Sure.
While most online bookmakers outside the jurisdiction of the state money have small difficulty in the upcoming edition of who will win the next four years lease at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. The process, which should lead to a conclusion when delegate-rich states like California, New York and Florida vote next February, is already underway with 10 Republicans and eight Democrats vying for the prize. Each of the parties on the ground could be developed and there is also the possibility that the merger of a ticket or an independent candidate.
In general, attacks online bookmakers elections of 2008 in one of three ways. The simplest way is to send a comprehensive proposal for the party wins the White House. Led by a President with record low approval ratings and facing a war increasingly unpopular in Iraq, Republicans are clearly oppressed to retain control in 2008, is generally seen as oppressed 140 (bet $ 100 to win $ 140). In addition, the Democrats, with his electoral base and strong independent oversight of its management, is quoted as -160 favorite (bet to win $ 160,100 USD) to regain control of the Oval Office.
Could someone not aligned with one of the most vital, as party candidate or independent third win? You can get this remote possibility in 5250.
Many online bookmakers also separate records for future Democrats and Republicans. Although she voted to authorize the war in Iraq, an unpopular stance among party activists, a New York senator and former first lady Hillary Clinton leads the Democrats generally agree on 4 / 5. Representing a younger generation, Illinois Senator Barack Obama is the clear choice in the second 5 / 2 with former North Carolina senator John Edwards, 5 / 1, and again as a candidate suddenly, former Vice President Al Gore, offered a minimum of 4 / 1 and a maximum of 10 / 1. New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson, who is widely regarded as a vice presidential choice, Senators Chris Dodd (CT) and Joe Biden (D), former Sen. Mike Gravel (Alaska) and Congressman Dennis Kucinich are long shots .
Despite his moderate liberal views on many social issues like abortion, gay rights and gun control, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani is the favorite 7 / 5 to obtain the approval of the largely conservative Republican Party to the presidency. Arizona John McCain, who holds an unpopular stance on immigration, is the second choice 5 / 2 at the former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney, whose positions have evolved (his detractors say “flip-flop”) is traded 1.4 with former Tennessee Senator Fred Thompson likely to join the race in July at about the same odds as Romney.
Former Speaker Newt Gingrich would enter the race around 15 / 1 if a given race, before candidates have already announced such as former governors Mike Huckabee (AK) and Tommy Thompson, WI) Senator Sam Brownback ( Kansas) and Representative Duncan Hunter, Ron Paul and Tom Tancredo.
Senator Chuck Hagel (NE), 30 / 1, could enter the race as a Republican or independent.
The online sports paris third way offer upcoming presidential election is to gather all the candidates together in a book of fantastic magnitude. The difference between these books and the books separate part is the same as the difference between the World Series banner and the future, the more risk but greater reward in the course of the whole enchilada.
Clinton is the favorite in the huge book, usually about 2 / 1. Giuliani checks in next with a score of 7.2 with Obama at 4 / 1, McCain 6 / 1, Romney and Gore at 8 / 1.
In the 2008 election approaches, many online bookmakers to add the key Senate, House and governor races to its menu of Paris, offering even more options to choose from Paris.

We have one year of the next presidential election in the United States and there is the universal despair for change in this country and across countries, the impetus for a better world. Judging by the wide range of candidates who have thrown their hat into the ring, without a doubt the change is what we get. The question for all Americans, how you want things to change radically, and in what direction? And the only question that all Americans must answer is, you want to participate in the process of making change, or simply stay at home and abroad?
If you are an American, the 2008 race may well be the election of his life. Do not sit on. Here’s why:
If you are between the age of eighteen and twenty-five years, turns his head wondering what happened to America you hear people older than you remember or those who read the books. That America was not America’s. Since childhood, you live in a country increasingly divided party, a country that is now closer to two presidential elections in recent history, which became the highest sequentially populations of votes ever. Not to mention, have been introduced in the political system through the failure of the 2000 presidential election, making it likely that you wonder if your country is not as corrupt as some Latin American dictatorship archetypal southern border, which we have historically been willing to reverse. In addition, the barrage of messages, technology, media hype and digital cameras that you have never known life without it is nearly impossible to pay attention to anything, or believe that is absorbed. But, you have a unique way to listen via the Internet, social media and collaboration in a virtual team. You have the cynicism of youth on his side to improve their power of discernment. Now in their twenties, you have the chance to become adults in the ear, perhaps the first time. Please use.
If you are 30 years or 40-ish, but born too late to participate in the celebration of free like and the collection policy of 60 and 70, you are ancient enough to remember a teaching bucolic likely commuter while only one of his parents worked to provide a comfortable family life. Shortly before microwaves, cell phones, Internet and digital-to-all, his childhood was full of freedom, the freedom of online pedophilia, most advanced free land, free of terrorist attacks, and even simple freedom of his mother without knowing where he mounted his bicycle and spent time after school. Have you seen, experienced, and somehow adapt to rapid changes dramatically in their country and the world in a relatively small period of time. This gave many of you a global perspective and a desire to go away from capitalism, post-WWII survival “American Dream” race of real progress toward something better, but not necessarily more. You see how politicians could be where we are in America, and perhaps seen enough people to realize that it is not necessary. You are in the flower, which has an economic influence, and leadership positions. The time has come to strengthen and be involved. Please do.
If you are a baby boomer in the 60′s or early 50, the current state of our union must not only feel painfully familiar, but frightening. You are indifferent to the revolution, change, and making . Even if they were not politically active in the Kennedy, Eisenhower, Nixon and years, you are certainly ancient enough to remember the lessons of these days and you have no excuse not to. Many you, the descendents of early immigrants of the twentieth century the United States, for their courage did not form equal opportunities and eliminate injustice against minorities. Thanks to its heritage and diversity that has contributed to the multi-cultural The multi-racial mix that is now America. You are the richest generation ever seen and this nation. The ballast can run or stabilize the ship. Please, if you have not already done , climb aboard and help steer you in the right direction.
And last but not least, if you are a right citizen of age 75 years or more, if you’ve seen just about everything, heaven? N? You have seen how governments, a world, a world can give and take life. You have a long term vision of what we’ve done as a country, and you have the wisdom of experience that can guide us to where we are headed. You’ve been around enough to have lived the adage that those who do not learn from history are condemned to repeat it. You can be mad, you may be worried, you can quit, you may be sick, sick, or maybe ancient and tired. But you’re still there. And we need you, you all continue to participate in preserving America region – not the government, not politics – but the ideal that many of his generation fought and died . Please do not leave the ring, but, stay home and keep the excellent fight. The rest of us the promise that you support.
Not only the presidential elections of 2008 are more diverse than ever, is that the stakes are higher than they’ve ever been in the majority of Americans? lives. With global warming, energy crisis and bioterrorism looming over our heads, we’re talking about our survival as a species. Fears of nuclear Armageddon happened? if the Russians or North Koreans jack enough to trigger World War III? pale in comparison, if humans can survive a global climate change or. We talk about things that may be beyond our control to change or reverse. The time has come for unity, not division. The entire system must change if we want to achieve, as a country and as global citizens. We want someone to show us the way, not age, not in the same way, but a new way.
Is there such a person? Of course it is, and probably more than one. But you will not be able to discern who do not even know the programming. And you will not be able to choose their future if they do not enter the game The time is far from breaking with the repetition of the past. The evaluation that can lead America toward a new future, and not just vote for new faces you have not seen in the previous race. Do not allow gender, color, religion, appearance or age will divert from the substance or lack of below. Search courage, the quest for independence, the search for candidates wishing to cross party lines to do the right thing. Search violated the rules because they need to be. Be informed of problems and judge their candidates on their position. And vote your conscience, vote your heart, and not just their party line. But the majority of votes of all! Vote on this particular occasion in the primary and general elections. After all, 2008 could well be the choice of his life.

U. S. 2008 presidential election is nearing the end of a Republican administration for eight years whose average annual income of households in the country has been reduced from $ 50,557 to $ 50,233, according to the Census Bureau introduced in November in the magazine Business Week . During the same time, the country’s yucky domestic product rose 22 percent, which would have led to an increase in annual income for middle-class families $ 64,000.
corporate profits then jumped an average of 10. 8 per cent per year while the index of consumer prices rose 25 percent and core inflation has increased 18 percent, excluding food and energy. The price of gasoline rose from $ 1. 47 per gallon in 2001 to $ 2. 78 in 2008 after peaking at $ 4. 11 years earlier. Rising food prices has been equally strong, with the cost of a dozen eggs rose 97 percent, about $ 1 to $ 2.
The Republican candidate is married to a wealthy heiress and owner of many houses can not keep up, would be to hold party elections at the Arizona Biltmore Resort and Spa, a semi-isolated, according to The New York Times is what the Arizona Waldorf New York. The Democratic candidate is holding your party at Grant Park in Chicago, with 70,000 expected thousands of people on the waiting list and possibly up to one million expected to crowd downtown nearby.
Both candidates have promised change if elected. Based on this scenario, one of the United States will emerge with the election.
If McCain wins, there will be a new body in the Oval Office and a new in the office of vice president of partners. Advisers can be expected to remain the same, especially with the current Vice-President Emerging days before the election to throw their support to the man who has sought throughout the campaign to distance himself from the current president and claiming several times, “I’m not Bush.
In the Oval Office itself, a glacial erratic “maverick” can be expected to change often displays of temper with the new vice-presidency “Maverick”, which quickly made the mistake of calling the campaign Palin / McCain ticket rather than the reverse. Given his refusal to the spirit of his advisers Republicans as the election approached, she heads to stop with the president on all issues, including the gift of conservative judges to be packed in the Supreme Court and the amount of drilling done in Alaska Wildlife Refuge.
Nationally, for the Americans, the image would remain virtually the same as you at the international level. The huge difference could be an increase in conflict with global giants Russia and China emerging as a quixotic war president in the country’s weight to his “friends” in the countries of the former Soviet Union and its breakaway republics many. The war against terrorism also remain virtually unchanged, including hiring activists gained his second wind from an America more despised in the world.
In contrast, the new body in the Oval Office where the Democratic candidate was the winner would have a steady hand. There was work with the world and against the national vice-president with a clean slate of smart advisers. The new recycling programs and retraining for a global world America should apply in the national network of support severely hurt in the whole world has been repaired.
Jobs would be made by improving the country’s infrastructure, such as rebuilding roads and bridges aging. This is a must for the American middle class in a growing country. They are in fantastic need of repair and have not received the attention for eight years.
The huge change for America, where a Democratic victory in the 2008 elections would be in the war against terrorism and the need for the United States dread. A fantastic job with American world would cons-productive for the fans. The development will leave you stranded in the main goal.

CHANGE Election
(C A Brooks, Elizabeth Pendleton)
Not surprisingly, each of the main presidential candidates U.S. election of 2008 has adopted the slogan “Change.” historical aspects planetary taking both the polling day itself and in the broader context before and after this memorable day. Since the spring of 1964-1966 Saturn had a series of oppositions to Uranus. In the final hand, Saturn represents tradition and structure, while Uranus challenges the status quo. These two powerful outer planets start their next round of competitions from 04 November.
Both Virgo and Pisces are mutable signs, which are known for their ability to see one side of the situation. mutable signs tend to break or the dissolution of the stationary power signals before (Leo and Aquarius in this scenario) and paving the way for the new energy of the cardinal signs of the sequence (Libra, Aries). In small, the mutable signs represent change.
In the best case, Saturn represents maturity, wisdom gained through experience, knowledge of self that leads to self-discipline and accept responsibility for our lives and our choices. In the worst case, Saturn is that the rules and external regulations, structure and oppression – the highest authority in our lives outside the constriction. Without regular and sober reflection is right, the structures that make and accept in our life can become obsolete and stop functioning as expected.
Seated at the other end of the scale is staggering Uranus astrological switch, which is rebellion, independence, and sometimes the genius of adolescence, and forever change the applicant, the novel and new. This rebel is too willing to challenge the status quo, going against the Convention, and forces us to reassess all the values we cherish, whether or not we want.
The tension between these two forces in opposition to others is already apparent in the countryside that dominates this election. It would be really unfair and unrealistic to characterize one of the candidates who represent an extreme of this continuum, as a step back and look at the “scene”, we see the action unfolds. John McCain critics accuse him of being “too ancient and too eccentric, out of reach” and the desire to use all the ancient methods and structures for solving problems (Saturn). Critics say that Barack Obama is “too inexperienced, too radical and even perilous – to be friends with terrorists” (Uranus). the McCain campaign encourages you to bring its forces, emphasizing his experience and long history of serving his country ( Saturn), while cautioned to avoid emotional outbursts and “exclamations erratic” and behavior (Uranus.) Meanwhile, Obama advisors are encouraged to show cool and confident direction (Saturn) and avoid being ” shaken “(Uranus).
As usual, the truth is usually in the middle. It’s really exciting time uncomfortable. The two planets are the change agents in their own way. Saturn likes to clutter clear – nothing can be considered unnecessary or functional and new limits and rules. Uranus is striking in general – wants to make chaos, the fight against the establishment, and break things apart – which can sometimes be justified. Uranus is the expected change and slow and gentle as the tides come and go.
And as the election is not the end but the beginning of something new, the Storm (or is it fun?) In this opposition global matching is far from complete. Over the next two years, the two planets go along each course in their appointment, the two continue their dance of the opposition, since each planet moves in both forward and backward movement. In fact, both will be in direct opposition in February and September 2009 and April 2010. If we have done our duty – to examine our lives, our beliefs and are open to new information, the opposition of July in Aries and Libra, we will give birth to something new. No doubt we will see the fruits of our labor as a country.
Although Saturn and Uranus may be the greatest influence on the election day itself, Saturn, Jupiter and Pluto are also known to play an vital role in the shapes of things to come in the next period.
As of September 2, 2007 Saturn entered Virgo, when the tales of the current mortgage crisis started to emerge. Stern and sober Saturn books and sign a relentless attention to the land of the Virgin retail continue to go heaven and earth in the world of financial services through October 29, 2009, when Saturn from Libra. Saturn in its higher aspect is one of the greatest masters of life. Da excellent structure of realistic goals, provides strength and constant encouragement for the efforts of merit and reward for work well done. But it does not tolerate laziness and dishonesty. Whether the fatal flaws of a financial boom was built on unsound lending practices fueled by greed unprecedented bottom-up is now a serious reality check is not a surprise. Saturn, while not stand for cooking the books or the lack of moderation. Add Virgin meticulous approach to life, especially the material world and dedication to service, such as irregularities and shortcomings of our economic system will remain exposed. Saturn questions that the next president to help us in our public finances in order, personal and national.
In addition to the economy of the ultimate goal of this election year has been the planet Jupiter in Capricorn, which started in January. Capricorn is an earth sign ruled by Saturn. So our national review of facts and the real value of assets has been the subject of the second dose of reality. In January 2009, Jupiter will Aquarium humanitarian spirit. Under the right direction, it is an brilliant aspect of political change that serves the common excellent. An example of how this might occur would be government spending on infrastructure improvements and tax incentives for investment in green technology.
But the more subtle, but vital for all of the 2008 election is the movement of Pluto into Capricorn in late November, a trend that will continue until March 2023. The last time Pluto through Capricorn was from 1762 to 1778. Just remember the tax on tea in the early 1760s and has followed the American Revolution to know the implications of this powerful offering. In small, it is an opportunity to reshape generation business, government and our other vital institutions under the supervision of the no-nonsense Capricorn. The excellent news about this sign is a goal that gives us so much realism and strength for long-term goals. He is not interested in becoming an overnight sensation. And given the magnitude of the problems we face, resilience, pragmatism and a willingness to roll up my sleeves to do what must be done timely. So, as we see the consequences of our choices on Nov. 4 are deep and extensive. 2008 is undoubtedly a moment of “change”.
Following the 2008 presidential election has finished to be even more vital for the country’s future with the current economic crisis, individuals and candidates in cities such as Rancho Santa Fe, Del Mar, Carlsbad and La Jolla San Diego to cities such as San Clemente, Laguna Beach, Corona del Mar, Newport Beach, Anaheim and Irvine in Orange County, San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara to Ventura and Oxnard, Rancho Cucamonga, Ontario and Temecula Murrieta at Indian Wells, Palm Springs, La Quinta, Palm Desert and other parts of the Coachella Valley have raised questions about the laws and campaign finance have sought answers to what amounts have been able to contribute in this election year.
In 2007-2008, the individual limits on campaign contributions to all federal offices were as follows:
$ 2.3000 per election to a candidate in federal elections. This $ 2,300 can be paid each person in a married couple as well.
$ 28.500 per calendar year to a committee of the National Party. This rule applies separately to a national party committee, the House and Senate Campaign Committee.
$ 10,000 per year the state, district and local party committees.
$ 5,000 per calendar year to a political committee.
A cumulative total of $ 108,200 two-year election cycle with a maximum of $ 47,200 per two-year cycle to candidates and $ 65.500 to all national party committees and PACs, including not more than $ 40,000 may be given to CAP.
Foreigners can participate in a candidate, nor the federal contractors. Corporations and unions can impose CAP.
Cash only $ 100 can be provided. In-kind contributions count against the contribution limits.
PAC can give $ 5,000 multimember to an individual candidate, $ 15,000 and a committee of the National Party.
CAP can not multi-member $ 2,300 to a candidate person, $ 28.500 to a committee of the National Party.
A multi-member PAC is a political committee with more than 50 partners that have been recorded at least six months and, with the exception of state party committees, has made contributions to five or more candidates in federal elections.
Any person intending to campaign for elected office should know the rules of financing of elections and should consult a lawyer for the financing of political campaigns at an early stage of their choice to campaign.
October 2008 News – Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama has established a new campaign contribution record with the announcement that its fundraising efforts raised 150 million in September 2008. This gives Obama an advantage that is apparently allowing it to outspend McCain as 4-1 in some swing states. The campaign added 632,000 new donors for a total of 3. 1 million donors to date. The contribution of donors to the average of the campaign is $ 86.

Americans will vote for a black president? It is a real issue and vital that I write these lines, and a question that can last even after the election. Because after the election, will clarify how Barack Obama has been able to win and overcome the rhetoric of race or we will find ourselves and wonder why he could not do enough to choose a excellent level Education, While the man who speaks, and not replace the estimated 30% of whites say the polls will not vote for a black for president of the United States. New policies to give impetus to the review of ancient issues. The candidacy of Barak Obama, an African-American is at the heart of the question of whether voters hide their right intentions when they speak to investigators on the effect of race on the election of political candidates. The term “Bradley effect” is used to describe the behavior of the respondents said that the white race does not affect their right to vote when the election results shows that the candidate of choice receives far fewer votes than expected. This dichotomy between the vote and final results are expected to reflect the fact that white voters lie about or do not vote for an African American because they do not want to be socially inappropriate. The “Bradley effect” refers to the issue of race, but can be applied to other qualities. Each year we honor the memory of Martin Luther King. It was his dream that the son of former slave owners and son of former slaves one day be educated, work and live together amicably and that the “Black” would have the same opportunities to succeed in society that n ‘ matter what other race. The potential President Barack Obama seems to reflect a certain realization of this dream. But it also brings the factor of race in the election results. Many people do not know how the term “Bradley effect” occurred when the purpose of this article, here is some information. In 1982, Los Angeles Mayor Tom Bradley was projected to win the race for governor of California is based on polls before the elections. Instead, white opponent, George Deukmejian won. Seven years later, Douglas Wilder, an African American, narrowly won the governorship of Virginia, after having been projected to win easily from the Office. The term “Bradley effect” is used to describe these phenomena. results of recent elections in New Hampshire during the primaries of 2008 presents a different perspective, and perhaps a different result, which shows the progress achieved in realizing the dream of King’s. Obama was projected to receive 37% of the vote in the Democratic primary against their rivals and, in fact, but he finished second to Hillary Clinton received the expected percentage of the vote. Thus, the Bradley effect and can not operate in certain states, or, under certain conditions, or with certain candidates. But what happens at national level. It has been 40 years since segregation was considered and rejected in national politics. The legacy of Martin Luther King is still something that everyone can identify, regardless of race. His message to Washington in 1963, there was a hope of right brotherhood and the potential that the country may be able to do. Obama is part of the realization of that hope, while at the same time, his candidacy provokes us to examine our stereotypes and prejudices. The possibility of returning in fact as a historical relic Bradley opposed to a definitive answer is choice “do not question, do not say” a phrase that no longer correspond to any situation, because every vote and every person seems to participate equally in our culture and justice will be the sign of diversity and change for the better.
