Will these Americans who did not vote for Obama – predominantly white republicans and conservatives – acknowledge and accept the vision for change supported by the 52. 9% of Americans – white, black, Latino, democrats, republicans, conservatives, liberals and others – who voted for President Barack Obama?

Or, will those Americans who did not vote for the President do everything possible to undermine the desire for change that the majority of Americans voted for?

The answer became clear with the emergence of raucous groups of predominantly white republican, conservative Americans opposing the health care plot – often based on inaccurate, distorted, and sometimes blatantly untrue information.   It appears those who voted against the President will make as much noise as possible, make confusion, and do whatever it takes to go America backwards – to the way things used to be – the racist past of discrimination, injustice, and hatred.

The final indication of the motive and intent of those who did not support President Obama is in the controversy over President Obama speaking to America’s school children.

The push back against this speech is proof that the cancer of racism, that has sucked the life out of the American dream for over 230 years, still rages in the hearts, minds and psyche of Americans who cannot accept the desire for change nor the reality of an African American president.

This vocal minority cloaks their racism in the guise of issues. When these issues are examined under the light of truth, they are calculated deceptions feeding the cancer of racism the majority of Americans sought to cure in the Presidential election.

There was no outcry from parents threatening to remove their children from school in 1988 when President Ronald Reagan, a Republican, spoke to school children on live television.

Neither was there an outcry in 1991 when President George H. W. Bush, a Republican, spoke to school children on radio and television. Parents did not threaten to take their children out of school to keep them from hearing the President. Some Washington Democrats objected to President Bush’s speech on political grounds, but there was no national outcry among parents.

In neither case did Boards of Education throughout America meet to choose whether to show a Presidential speech. It reminds us of the 1950’s and 1960’s when certain Boards of Education disrespected the law of the land set forth in Brown v. the Board of Education. They had to be sued to admit black students.   Are we going backwards?

 Consider this: perhaps the real reason that certain citizens and Boards of Education are objecting to the children watching President Obama’s speech is that they don’t want their children to see the image of an educated, articulate black man in charge – in the highest office in the land. Perhaps some Americans prefer their children watch stereotypic black men in jail, on drugs, shooting, catching or hitting a ball. But, a black man as president contradicts the paradigm of slavery and racism that is woven into the fabric and consciousness of America.

Is this outcry an attempt to perpetuate negative stereotypes of black men by preventing children from seeing and hearing an educated, articulate black man as President.

When we observe the raucous health care debate, and controversy over President Obama speech to the nation’s school children, we see that the information, concepts, and historical perspective set forth in our book, America the Racist? are critical to understanding the impact of racism on the future of America. We must know the past, to properly act in the present and build a better, more just and righteous future for our nation.

Many have said that the election of President Barack Obama signaled the end of racism in America. But, based on the absolute partisan division, rhetoric and tone of conservative media, the health care battle, and speech controversy, it is abundantly clear that racism is still seethes and festers in America.

But, after listening to President Obama’s speech to the students, I was indeed proud that a majority of our citizens, white, black, Latino and others stood up and voiced their support for the President and his inspiring message to our children.

American is at the crossroads. We can stand for the change needed to make our country live its creed – all men are made equal. Or fall again for the dread mongers’ tactics. Will we let despise lead us back to the rage, violence, and racism of our past? Is that to be our future also? Where do we go from here?

     You choose. Whether it be a feminist like myself, or just an ordinary person. What do we see more of in the U. S? Right this is the land of opportunity, but is that chance given to all of us equally? Do certain people have the jobs they hold because of the color they are, or their gender?

            A lot of racism still exists all over this country, for instance; if you take a look at the South compared to how the rest of the society is…what exactly do you see? It’s not all friendly and welcoming to many. Criticism can be used at points to the extreme, turning it into a racial discrimination. But I believe at this point in time living in a melting pot of cultures, everyone has an thought of prejudice still sticking around.

            What about sexism? How come this is not taken as seriously as racism? It is still a form of intolerance. There are millions of men out there, walking freely with a mind of empowerment over women. Thousands of women out there are living and standing an abusive relationship. The more power these men have, the harder it is to stop them from what they are doing. Most of these women wont utter a word, because they are frightened and don’t have enough financial support to take care of a family by themselves. The others completely lost all of their strength and self-esteem.

            Many men turn out the way they are because they were rather brought up that way, and tend to carry on the footsteps of their father. Being young you’re like a sponge, they probably saw their fathers treat their mothers or other women poorly. Women get treated like dirt by some of these men. They are sometimes taken as less then human, treated like objects.  They are exploited all over media for their bodies only. I could reckon of a hundred things that are demeaning to women. In America, a lot of these cases are kept hidden. But look at places like the Middle East, they are allowed to show nothing but their eyes. They do not even have the right to drive, or be out without a male acquaintance. Some might take it as religion, but is it justice? The rates of rapes are still no less over there. Although at this time Congo being so corrupted has the worst rape cases.

            It’s not always the woman’s fault. Putting yourself in a situation like that doesn’t really count if you are being forced. These men who are walking on the streets openly can be a danger to innocent lives. Take a look at novels written about men who want complete power over women because of the simple fact of them being male. Bastard out of Carolina, The Color Purple can be some examples. The rate of domestic violence is starting to top the charts in the U. S, so are the rapes. I feel a man who rapes just wants power, that’s all. Over something or in this case someone, so they go after women. Clearly they can’t do that to 7 feet tall 500lbs “Huge Show”, so they choose their victims cautiously, knowing that they can succeed and countless times even get away with it.

            As I mentioned earlier, more than half of these cases and men are hidden to the society in America. Yes, feminists, and other women who do have the courage are protesting…but is it enough? Besides the racist populace, women deserve the same rights and opportunities as men have. Reckon about the types of jobs. Why aren’t there women plumbers? In some cases, a whole new concept for what freedom is.   Sexism shouldn’t conquer, bravery should. Racism isn’t the only issue people should lose sleep on. Thus, I’ll just leave you with one more thing, diminishing sexism in your country…go home and I’ll let you sleep on it.

How is it that children can see the behavior of all adults whether “tea-bagging” or liberal Republican “Bleeding Heart” Democrats have been a farce worthy of school bullying with arguments about policies nobody has read in its entirety and can not even start to truly know the consequences for years into the future, each group claiming to be fairer than the other and willing to kill to prove it. That is what excellent government is supposed to reckon? No wonder our children want nothing to do with the thought of government – his is a return to the school of his youth in which nothing has a solution, everyone is right and nobody could question for apologies dread of appearing weak and lose face.

So how can we start making the transition from this dread-enabled, full of dread, respect, growth retardation, a nation prone to violence and the deterioration of civility madmen, without the ability to keep the most basic conversations without having to resort to ad hominem attacks on liberalism, socialism, Marxism, conservatism, Nazism, racism, and communism and the return to a nation driven by thoughts, fueled by innovation, guided by a clear vision, full of enthusiasm for the future, and the thought that only a nation of equals real opportunity we have to face a worrying future filled with hard and potentially very perilous in abundance – a growing need for diverse sources of renewable energy, more food to feed the obese and sedentary nation, a more uniform system of higher education quality education at lower cost, management of technology infrastructure crumbling in all our cities, each time more debt in the management of these cities, transit systems, school systems, prison systems and local governments, a reduction of the state of our nation as leader in technological innovation, military power and national idealism, the wars in the world, including some and others can shamelessly take place without the intervention because our assets are still in danger. We do not have enough to cope without the people and especially the leaders of our country act as if we had simply gone mad?

As much as I like to say that it is a mental health problem, I do not agree with this assessment. I mean, it’s left for the right and the best interests of the nation at heart. And I will not allow people like Limbaugh, Beck and Stern (and other semi-madman) the choice to say who had the power to go the minds of men to madness.

I say it is a progressive disease. A fungal infection hidden beneath the veneer of civility, something that has been with this nation since its inception, a deep sense of shame, a sense of entitlement, rage and misplaced outrage, went together, let Simmer for four years, adding a few civil wars, recessions terrible mix in a bowl of powder, ideals, sometimes misplaced (McCarthyism, for example), sprinkle a bit of pogroms, spoon in laws denying rights are now considered the place a few bullets strategic leaders who saw a better and brighter world, and adding a excellent dose of mines around the world to deny people of their ability, year after year. Bake until they are in competition for resources seems to have decreased worldwide, bring to a boil in a burning building that collapses when a plane weird fans say three thousand of their lives and the couple with reprisals, which deprive millions more of yours and you have a recipe for madness which covers the countries of the world and poisons, propagation of disease through the waves, the jump from television, repeated in equipment, newsprint and stained arguments contagion office has hidden one of the most virulent pest known to humanity, a loss of hope.

No wonder people shoot at the explosives packed with nails and pieces of broken glass and pieces once the promise that the next life, none of us could be sure it is technically, it would be better than life wear on the day of his death? Our real goal is to bring people to this hope, a future that has the potential to be better than you see when you look up or out of their homeless shelter or in the window of his hotel, a future which will not improve if we can not admit we’re incorrect with that.

So if you want to improve in the future, say it with me: I was incorrect.

I do not know what it was that I was incorrect and it did not matter. Have I misunderstood what was said? Do I take when I have questioned? Did you know what Marxism or socialism or communism really meant to say these things before he told a meeting where he could be a small mad? How do you really know about Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac or the Federal Reserve or my credit score or how the stock market really refers to me or if Windows 7 is really the operating system of my computer?

Why are we so insistent that we right? My religion is right. My God told me. All are of another terrible enough that I’m dying to prove it, if I can not kill them first. My Government is right, and which has held power for a few days longer than the previous one, or has historically proven to increase taxes or less able to make other changes that have helped the people or because the company prospered under rotting under my government and yours? The Atkins diet is better than Weight Watchers?

STOP! Stop!

The tale is fantastic, but its weakness is even remember what is most desirable and vital to them (relativism out of control). Thus, when the tale is that people in a state of mind is dead time to look ahead and wonder how we expect will affect people’s lives once they are gone. Yes, back to the thought of plotting a future that is never to be seen. This will make us reckon a bit harder, a small better plot and teach our children well enough that they can have the opportunity to make that future happen to them once they are gone. Back to offer our children a legacy that will make them proud of us and even more proud of themselves for plotting a better future for their children.

You fool experts, go home. Find something useful to do with his incredible eloquence. Maybe some poor neighborhoods of their choice could be based on the size with the powers currently exercised without considering its effects on the nation in the future or that it is more vital in itself. Could you live with yourself if you were to wake up in the future to learn that their choice was the worst of worlds, a hellish nightmare that you wake up? You politicians do their job. Whoever commits to. We know it will do or say anything on top. But remember this: the waste floating on the surface, too. We know who you are and you wonder why nobody is pleased with the newspapers? matters less and less on newspapers for people. You grow nothing to do with the common man and he knows it. Continue in this model and you can be sure of one thing. In ten years there will be ten per day for each time zone in the U.S. (there are 1,400 newspapers across the country and thousands of local weeklies, but this number is declining quicker). I do not reckon the Internet will save you. The need to follow your interest. Find the heart of America and give them what they really need is hope for the future. Lead with words that inspire and inform. You can leave the printed word and build the future you can see behind the scenes of “citizen journalism” in place of writing styles imperfect, less than stellar grammar and polarized, partial views. But these opinions will be of interest to people who read and yours will not.

Then go home, sit with your family and you marvel at his tales of his time. Delight in the food on the table, if you have a table, I remember when he did, and will see the day again.

To Kill a Mockingbird and centuries Crucible “are two American classics, although apart, have a remarkable amount in common: both children use as a means to explore the social mechanisms underlying the continuing illegal in Small Town USA. Summary

The series of fatal shootings by police in the process of apprehension of the suspects has led many commentators to suggest racial overtones in the attitude of the police. In fact, there is the current attitude of law enforcement when it comes to racial minorities such as blacks and Latinos. There are different aspects of the current discussion of race. First, placing the victim in black against white officer, the official setting black against the white victim, black formal step in front of the victim before the victim scene black officer (Parakeets & Plant, 2006) in black and white. Best suggestion was made by citing the theory of risk perception that officers are more likely to use lethal force in areas or situations where they encounter higher levels of violence or perceive their jobs as particularly perilous, ( and Quigley, 2003). The role of racial feelings by police bullets is not entirely clear, because there are competing theories to clarify the continuation of fatal police shootings. There is a dread that the prospect of a shooting attributed to the threat posed by the suspect attempted to be apprehended. But, a study has shown that preconceived notions of violence associated with certain races play an vital role in how police respond to threats posed by the suspect (Alpert, 2007). Not all theories share the sentiments of minorities in the attitude of the police in the arrest of the suspects black. There are those who support law enforcement, arguing that minorities should be profiled as criminals or potential criminals, because they are more likely to commit crimes. Profiles and detain individuals for investigative procedures had been thought, therefore, be a rational response to the drug and crime problem among some law enforcement officials, despite the obvious ecological fallacy that target individuals based on behavior group (Alpert, 2007). Accordingly, a corrupt society would produce a corrupt police force, but, a different picture can be painted. The definition of culture by Linton (1945) supports the argument that the police can not be as excellent as the company operates. For him, culture is society’s way to the lives of its members, the thoughts and habits to learn, share and transmit from generation to generation. There is another aspect of culture that relate to racial bias in the sensitivity of the police culture by police. Considering the multi-ethnic constitution of most companies in the U.S. today, it is quite possible that a police officer can be found in a people whose culture we know small or nothing. It is therefore imperative that police receive training in cultural diversity and sensitivity from time to time. In this sense, violence is aggression? Amadou Diallo

Amadou Diallo, an unarmed African immigrant in the West, no criminal record, was 22 when he was assassinated on February 5, 1999, by four New York police officers. The officers – Kenneth Boss, Sean Carroll, Edward McMellon and Richard Murphy – admitted firing 41 shots in the night, but said he believed Mr. Diallo had a gun. Mr. Diallo, who came to America more than two years in Guinea and worked as a peddler in Manhattan, was struck by 19 bullets standing on the doorstep of his Bronx apartment. The case sparked mass protests across the city, and has become a flashpoint of more intense friction between the minority leaders and the administration of Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani. The four officers, who were dressed in civilian clothes, said they approached Mr. Diallo because they believed fit the description of a man wanted in a rape case. They said that when he pulled out his wallet ID card, they took out a gun.

Kathryn Johnston

The man reached into his pocket, place his hand behind his back, then his hand started to go forward. Campbell saw the reflection of something metallic. There were two shots, then stopped and fired four more. The man fell on a pile of dirty snow.

The Place of Race in Law Enforcement

For some inexplicable reason, or weird coincidence is that blacks and Hispanics, who are still caught in the act of certain crimes, (Ruth and Reitz, 2003, p. 32). This does not mean that there is merit in the claim of disproportionate criminal offenses relating to certain races and ethnic groups. The fact is that racial and ethnic groups involved tend to have an unusual tendency criminal. Some have argued that the way society is structured economically sites concerned races and ethnic groups at a disadvantage. This may be a valid argument. It is also right that blacks are more criminal propensities than any other single group in the United States of America. At this stage, there may be no legal justification for the use of crime and the reasons are obvious. Many African-Americans suggest that survival is the only reason for delinquency. Precisely for the same reason, others are conducting legitimate business in order to survive. Not surprisingly, dropouts are higher among African Americans. For example, the presence of several liquor stores in the black population in general is seen as intentional, as it facilitates violent behavior and an increase in cases of serious injury and homicide.

The blacks tend to be more violent than other races. On the other hand, how the charge of racial bias is reasonable when officers are black apprehend? It must be said that the association with aggression and violence emanates from the people and not the police. The perception of black people as violent and aggressive seems to be the same thing with the police because he is black with white police officers.

Conclusion

The picture painted in the statistics is that people are more whites than blacks commit crimes, but there are more black people captured for crimes. Or is it that white offenders are too smart for the police or law enforcement officers know who the criminals are white, but choose not to stop them. It is doubtful that this is the case.

In an interview with the writer with the deputy director of police in Dekalb, Kennis 20/11/2008 Harrell, the assumption of racial discrimination was flawed. The deputy head disagrees with the claim of racial profiling. His argument was that, in a predominantly black populated county like DeKalb, it is expected that most of the suspects detained reflect the ethnic composition of the region. He also agrees that blacks are more likely than white criminal. It always comes back to the same argument that blacks commit crimes in a black neighborhood. The same thing applies to areas populated Latino. This argument, when stretched on the racial content seems to dissipate in the number of police shootings. It seems that every case of police shootings should be analyzed case by case basis. Therefore, the only theory which applies generally to all cases would be the perception of danger “theory” (Best and Quigley, 2003). According to this theory, the police respond to the level of danger they imagine themselves to be in. Then, it seems more than coincidence that ethnic minorities are involved in police shootings. This is certainly a topic worthy of further investigation that the trend is worrisome. There is much truth in the suggestion by Stewart (2007) that there should be further investigation to the impact of the presence of minorities in the police could have on the perception of minorities in organizations of enforcement of the law. “The minorities in the police to visit family and friends as more aggressive and more violent than others? The answer seems to be small change in perception.
