God’s sovereign choice: Unconditional Election

Now if the man is lost and is unable to save himself, or even wanting to be saved, and then by inevitable logic, if we are going to save them all, should be subject to the work of God to save them, not their own work. Paul again addresses this point when he says … for though the twins not yet born, and had not done anything excellent or terrible, for the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works but because of his calls, he said: “The elder shall serve the less. ” As it is written: “Jacob I loved, but Esau I despised.” Romans 9:11-13

So again, see what it was before the birth of any of Jacob and Esau, that God chose Jacob. And note this was before “… had done anything excellent or terrible …”. Paul brings home that point when he said: “… the purpose of God according to election might stand ….” Therefore, God’s choice of His elect not based on man’s purpose, but only in its purpose. Breastfeeding:

Any doctor will tell you that breastfeeding your baby is better than using prepared or ready to feed infant formula.
