Staying in a hotel is a common option selected by many business professionals visiting London but in more recent times there has been a noticeable shift with companies placing much greater emphasis on reducing travel costs. Increasingly companies are engaging with serviced apartment providers and incorporating such suppliers into their RFP programs as suitable alternatives for accommodating their extended stay needs in London.

Serviced apartments are regular style apartments, fully furnished and equipped, that provide a comfortable home, a bolt-hole for business travellers and secondees’ whilst on business in London. Commonly, there is a housekeeping service, sometimes daily but most often on a weekly basis. In terms of size they are typically twice the size of a hotel room, and provide a living space, separate bedroom and fully equipped kitchen. Most also offer broadband included in the rate.

Serviced apartments in London work out to be more cost effective than staying in hotels, with typical savings of up to 30% achievable. Savings like these are very appealing to travel managers, seeking to reduce spend and negotiate favourable rates to support their travel programs. Considerable savings can also be made when 2 bed/2 bathroom apartments are shared by two individuals, which is a preferred option by many international banks with London offices, looking to accommodate their graduate interns. Add to this the benefits for the guest; being able to lead a normal life with the same everyday freedom and choice they would have if they were at home and the serviced apartment proposition goes from strength to strength.

One of London’s leading Serviced Apartment companies, Clarendon offers serviced apartments in the Canary Wharf area. All serviced apartments in Canary Wharf are central to offices and London’s transport hub. City Airport connects with Canary Wharf every 15 minutes and commuting to and from City offices and other parts of London is made simple with the close proximity of Canary Wharf tube station.

So what’s the catch? In small there isn’t one. Costs are very reasonable. Typically, today in Canary Wharf a 1 bedroom apartment will cost in the region of £805 per week + VAT. This is based on a 7 night stay including all utilities and housekeeping service once a week. Now compare this to the average cost of a hotel room in the region of £150+ per night, not to mention the additional costs associated with hotel stays, bar and restaurant bills, laundry bills etc and the cost savings start to build.

So whether you are coming into London for a one-off business trip, need accommodation for a week or more or perhaps are in limbo, relocating and needing a base whilst making more permanent arrangements; serviced apartments in London provide exceptional value for money, excellent levels of comfort and the flexibility that you won’t find with hotels.

The Hungary Grand Prix is one of the races scheduled in the Formula One calendar and it was first held in 1936 in Budapest. Nevertheless, for a period of approximately 50 years the competition did not take place due to the unstable situation the country was going through. It was until 1986 that this Formula One event took place once again in the Eastern part of Europe.

The Budapest track has a circuit length of 2,722 miles or 4,381 kilometres while the race itself has a length of 306,66 kilometres for a total of 70 laps. In Hungary the driver who has achieved the most wins was the all-time favourite Michael Schumacher in 1994, 1998, 2001, and 2004 while the last Formula One driver to win at this circuit was the British Lewis Hamilton who managed a time of 1:19:674

The Hungaroring as it is often referred to as one of the most hard tracks for the Formula One drivers due particular characteristics such as: being very narrow and oblique which make it very hard to surpass and take the advantage. Next August 3rd another race will take place at this track and the real action is expected as the top three drivers continue to battle for extra points in the world championship race to obtain this year’s title.

Last year’s Hungarian champion Lewis Hamilton who currently leads the drivers’ board with 58 points total does not feel very comfortable yet  to speak about his future performance with this next task, despite his previous two victories at Silverstone and Hockenheim. The McLaren driver has been able to place himself at the top in front of the two Ferrari drivers Massa and current world champion Kimi Raikkonen who are in second and third place respectively.

In spite of Lewis’ prudent silent in this regards the predictions point out that the young Britton was once again able to take control of his driving possibilities and is living a lift which he can easily take advantage of during the next race. . . this could certainly be excellent for him as the more points he gains the better his ranking will be and the gap between the other drivers will become more visible.

“I’m wary about making any strong predictions; yes, we were strong in the last two races, but we encountered difficulties in the two before that, so it’s impossible to call it,” noted Hamilton. “All I can say is that our car feels fantastic at the moment and I’m really enjoying driving it.

All three drivers Massa, Raikkonen and Lewis are very aware that the Hungaroring or Budapest track is a completely different scenario from what they faced last in Germany, for this one a pit strategy is required and all drivers will have to show their finest skills in order to take the lead from the beginning to have a clear turning otherwise it will turn into a desperately overpowering battle not simple to deal with which may end in an accident that we do not want to witness.

Regardless; it is very certain that we will delight in the upcoming track while the top drivers continue the racing action to take their teams to the lead of the standings especially now that the season is more than half way through.

Honda Racing Formula One Team was looking to take their first point/s of the season going into Sunday’s United States Grand Prix. But after a poor showing at the race held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, it looks as if Honda would have to wait for the next race to break into the scoring column.

Drivers Rubens Barrichello and Jenson Button seemed to have switched places after the Canadian Grand Prix. At the race held at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, Barrichello only managed to take the twelfth spot while Button was forced to retire. At the United States Grand Prix, it was Button who finished twelfth and Barrichello was forced to retire.

Barrichello was involved in an accident which retired not only him but Toyota’s Ralf Schumacher and Red Bull’s David Coulthard as well. It can be remembered that these three have been the leading contenders to Michael Schumacher’s dominance in the early 2000s. The incident happened only on the opening lap and Jenson Button and Nico Rosberg escaped the collision.

While Button may have avoided the crash which might have forced him to retire, he only managed a twelfth place end. While the British Button said that the race was fun, he is disappointed with the result.

“It was a fun race today but ultimately another disappointing afternoon for us,” he said. “At the start I was on the outside and I was hit by Rubens, which hurt the front of my car along with the bodywork. That forced me across the grass and left me nearly at the back of the field which was disappointing. Still it was a fun race with some excellent overtaking until my pit stop, when we had a problem with the fuel rig which cost me time and then I had about 15kg too much fuel in the car which compromised the rest of the race. We were just off the pace again and we now have a lot of work to do next week in Jerez to go our performance on. ”

Meanwhile, Barrichello is also looking forward to Jerez and attributed the accident to terrible luck. “I reckon it was just an unlucky first corner racing incident today. I tried to avoid a spinning Ralf and unfortunately hit two cars, one of which was Jenson. The contact broke my front suspension and that was it for me today. Sadly Jenson’s car was hurt as well. We have an vital test next week in Jerez, so the team just has to look forward now and focus on improving our performance for the rest of the season,” he shares.

The United States Grand Prix was won by the rookie sensation Lewis Hamilton who now leads the driver’s championship standings with 58 points to his credit. His teammate Fernando Alonso took the second spot as McLaren dominates the early going of the 2007 Formula One season. It seems that even road bound McLarens equipped with Kleen wheels will barely catch up with Hamilton and Alonso. Felipe Massa of Ferrari took the third place just ahead of teammate Kimi Raikkonen on fourth. McLaren now has 106 points in the constructor’s championship while Ferrari trails at 71.

Despite the excellent quality of the circuit is as: a nice smooth surface, the scene itself, is not well loved among the teams. Ferraria?? S, Kimi Raikkonen, said he thinks he Wona?? Miss T is the index in a rural area in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by cows grazing in the fields of closure, without the hotels and hard to access. Another very positive aspect is no shortage of spectators during practices and races primarily to non-presence of French pilots. On the other hand, is vital for teams like Renault to make a excellent career in his country – France. Since 1991, Magny-Cours has hosted the race in France, then a few years later, in 2004, the breed has nearly disappeared because of lack of funds. In March the French Federation (FFSA) said here will not be included in the 2008 Grand Prix calendar. It is right that many would find a better location and a â?? Dream? to host the event in Paris, Euro Disney, perhaps as a possible site or somewhere near Charles de Gaulle, but none of these options are possible in the small term. The place where the Formula One has taken its first steps, you can not host the event next year since 1955, but the team hopes to have it on your calendar.
