racial attacks in Australia – Why? : A drill down

As the dust settles, probably by the time of racist attacks in Australia (which seem to be making news all over India, to the extent that high-level talks were held between the two governments), I I’m also enjoying the company of one of my former colleagues (he is a man to 30 years of age) who is back again after a stay in Adelaide.

My argument with my colleague, is unlikely to change much of what I thought of the episode of racism in Australia.

This is why my friend believes that the Indians are to blame when non-Indian neighbors racially motivated attack.

1. A group of Indians always make noise – If this had to happen in a crowded bar, it would be cool. But what they have to say when the Indians enter the tram in silence and end in the chat their way to glory.

2. oggling of India in women – My colleague was surprised to find a group of Indian college students oggling a local woman on a street. In fact, one of them even made obscene comments about women and stroked his back. The boyfriend of the reaction of girls to hit the guy was absolutely justified.

3. Drinking and doing a very excellent mood – My colleague thinks drinking is an integral part of Australian life. But it also found that it was Indians who more or less terrible behavior when drinking, especially in a pub or a bar.

4. Showing scant respect for local laws – My colleague is also a lot of cases where the Indians deliberately violated local laws. There was a finch in his eye when he said Australians were law abiding, but could not tolerate any violation of the laws at all.

These four cases were told by my colleague, based on his journey of 3 months. And these were excellent enough for me

1. We Indians should not forget that the laws of another country should be respected.

2. The Indians should know that we are in a foreign country and must adapt to their cultural needs and not make them adapt to us.

3. We Indians respect the privacy and feelings of the people of the country.

4. We Indians should stop blaming others for racial attacks Australia and start to take ownership. I’m sure if an alien has violated the rules of decency in India, he or she has been treated. What goes around comes around, is not it

Bottom line – I reckon Mr Rudd and the locals living in Australia have been gracious enough to accept the Indians of their lands and most importantly, tolerating their meaningless. This at any point claimed some racial senseless attacks of Indians, but these have been far and few between.

If I have to go through the thoughts of my colleague, who is visiting Australia has to be one of my goals at least to me for more information on the subject of racist attacks in Australia. Apparently, I’m going to blame 100% on the Indians, but I will wait for my final assessment until you get there.

The more I reckon about it, the more I realize that success, just like relationships, has a lot to do with being patient. Do you agree? Very few pivotal moments in history benefited more from quick action than when some level of patience occurred instead. I know that we aren’t changing modern history here but your actions will have an impact on the non-fiction tale that is your life. For that reason, patience also applies to you! We’ve all heard that patience is a virtue but what exactly does this mean?

The virtue of patience is a blend of some other traits that also determine success. I’d best describe patience as having elements of both focus and also tenacity or commitment. Why is patience so vital? Perhaps some examples of patience will help:

I could probably have place dozens of things in that list. We’ve all had times in our life where, when looking back, we can say, ‘You know, I could have been more patient with _________. ’ Lack of patience is a natural thing and is also a fantastic area to improve if we are to become more successful!

What I want you to do now is reckon of some things you’ve done that showed a lack of patience. Is it simple coming up with examples from your own life? For most people, it is pretty simple.

Even though patience resembles both focus and sticking with something, it’s also affected by how we prioritize things. If you don’t reckon something is really vital, how patient are you going to be with it? Most people aren’t very patient with things that they don’t see as being very vital. Imagine standing in the kitchen, impatiently waiting for the pot to boil so you can make pasta. We’ve all done that but why the impatience? What’s happening in this example is that we are focused on enjoying the meal, looking past the steps that are involved in getting the pasta into a bowl. The exact same thing can happen when it comes to our success! Even though there’s value that comes with setting excellent clear goals, sometimes we look past the here and now and want the future today! This is where patience ties in with focus. Proper focus is on the here and the now, not the future. It’s OK to dream of a better future but when we place too much focus there, we tend to get impatient and place less value on the steps in between!
