The Scot’s flight, as it is called, has 27 victories, 43 podiums, 17 pole positions and 15 fastest laps and recently praised McLaren rookie Lewis Hamilton. With this legendary praising Hamilton, it seems that the young Briton has all goes well for him.
The rookie sensation that has broken record after record on his fledgling Formula One career has recently made an appearance at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The ovation he received Hamilton in the case of Sir Jackie Stewart called to say that Hamilton is a nice addition to the list of drivers in Formula One this year.
Hamilton has taken seven podium finishes in his seven starts. The first podium for the British Formula One driver was when he placed third in the first race of the season. After that race, which published four seconds and topped off with two straight wins-to-back on the U.S. side of the current season of Formula One
After Hamilton’s victory in the U.S. GP at its Mercedes-Benz MP4-22 equipped relay, Los Angeles Times run a tale with Hamilton on the first page. This effect of young rookie sensation in the promotion of sport is appreciated and praised by the Flying Scotsman.
“The arrival of Lewis has captured the imagination,” said Sir Jackie Stewart. “The first page of the Los Angeles Times had a Formula One driver racing on the first page, and it’s a fantastic thing for the motor sports of all kinds. I saw the reaction when he approached the track (at Goodwood) and has all the support you need in this country. ”
The Goodwood Festival of Speed is an annual Hill Climb. The hill climb is one of the oldest forms of motorsport where competitors race up a hill and try to post the fastest time. In delivering this year’s event, Formula One, Lewis Hamilton, the rookie sensation in the driving event McLaren Formula One that was used last season. After the event and the warm welcome given to Hamilton, the Scottish Flight reckon the young will return next year for the event.
“I have to say that it is not simple for a well-known racing driver to come here, but I see no reason why not come back, even though he can not approach. In my own way I can not go. No I can bring my grandchildren here because they jostled around. No one means to do so. It is not malicious. It can not do it because you have so many people crowding around, “he said.
“Lewis can not walk freely without pushing and shoving, and people asking for autographs. Of course that does not mind doing that, none of us, but it is not an simple journey. But his popularity at the moment is very large, with well loved media making a huge deal of it – correctly. So I am sure you will like, and I’m sure the fantastic British public service. ”
As for Hamilton, said he was surprised, but looking the same reaction when McLaren compete in next month’s British Grand Prix.
Hamilton Favored for European Grand Prix
the ongoing spying scandal, it is hard to imagine that McLaren drivers can concentrate on driving. But if Friday’s practice session is an indication of their detention, it looks like Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso focused on the task of the dispute.
Championship leader Lewis Hamilton recorded the fastest time during the morning session ahead of Ferrari rival Kimi Raikkonen in second and Alonso third. This behavior of Hamilton, but does not come as a surprise to many. In his only season as a rookie, British Formula One driver leads the championship standings and has broken record after record, including nine consecutive podium finishes.
Hamilton is the favorite going into the Grand Prix of Europe, although Raikkonen has won the last two races in style. In the French Grand Prix, the Finn finished third but managed to beat Hamilton in the second and his teammate Felipe Massa on pole position for victory. In the Grand Prix of Fantastic Britain, Finland, once again failed to qualify for pole position, but managed to win.
Career experts predict that Hamilton’s familiarity with the Nürburgring will be your advantage. Sky Sports News reported that the registration of Hamilton at the ‘Ring’ during his tenure in the Formula Three Euroseries is enviable.
Moreover, while Raikkonen has won the last two races, his performance in “The Ring” is anything but spectacular. In his three races at the track, he could not end. But, the Finn said that while he has not done well on the track in their former teams, the next race will be a new beginning for him. Raikkonen is in his first year as a Ferrari driver after a season with McLaren.
Although Raikkonen and Hamilton are some attention, can not be ruled Massa and Alonso. Both drivers have already recorded two wins each this season. Alonso, after all, is a double world champion and defend his crown this season.
Hamilton and Alonso will be on board their MP4-22 for the event. The car is a Mercedes-Benz. The Grand Prix of Europe, in fact, is a home race for McLaren’s engine supplier, which also makes luxury cars and car parts like the lights of Mercedes-Benz to name one. On the other hand, the team will race in his Ferrari F2007, which has been doing well in the last two races.
As for the spying scandal involving an employee who allegedly passed secret Ferrari technical details of the Ferrari car to an employee of McLaren, the FIA is conducting an investigation. Four days after the European Grand Prix, McLaren will face a World Motor Sport Council. Both Alonso and Hamilton is not worried about the scandal, while Massa said he does not speak on the subject.
The Grand Prix of Europe will be the first Formula One race in Germany that Michael Schumacher will not participate in after entering the sport. The world champion retired seven times after the end of last season after failing to beat Alonso for the world title. This lack of Schumi behind the wheel is expected to affect the reception of German Formula One fans to the event.
While Schumacher is not going to participate in the event, five German drivers. One of the five is Ralf Schumacher, brother of Michael. Nick Heidfeld of BMW Sauber, who is fifth in the standings is also a German and his performance in past races is expected to generate interest among fans of Formula One German.
Coming into the 2007 Formula One season, it was expected that Team Vodafone McLaren Mercedes will place in a excellent performance. The reason behind this is two-fold. First, McLaren showed that their new car is quicker. The second reason is that two-time defending Formula One champion Fernando Alonso joined the British team.
During the previous two seasons, Alonso was able to take the championship from seven-time champion Michael Schumacher. And when he jumped from Renault to McLaren, it is expected that he will have a very excellent chance of winning his third consecutive driver’s title.
It is expected that the race for the championship this year will be chose between Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen who went from McLaren to Ferrari after Schumacher’s departure. After seven races so far this season, Raikkonen ranked fourth behind teammate Felipe Massa. Alonso, on the other hand, is second in the standings behind his teammate – the rookie Lewis Hamilton.
Hamilton is a 22-year ancient British driver who is the first driver of Caribbean or African descent to participate in a Grand Prix. He is also the youngest individual to secure a Formula One contract. The young driver has so far managed to take podium finishes in all of his seven Formula One races. He now leads the driver’s championship race with 58 points and that is ten more than Alonso’s.
Through the first five races of the season, Hamilton recorded one third-place end and four second-place finishes. His consistency allowed him to take the distinction of being the youngest Formula One driver to lead the driver’s championship. His first Formula One win came at the Canadian Grand Prix. At the same race, his teammate only managed to place seventh. At the United States Grand Prix, the young rookie sensation proved that his win in Canada is no fluke by scoring his second victory.
While both Alonso and Hamilton use similar Formula One cars with Mercedes-Benz wheels and Bridgestone tires, it was Hamilton who showed a greater driving prowess at the Canadian and United States Grand Prix.
The competition between Hamilton and Alonso on the track became the basis for speculations that the two divers are involved in a power struggle inside McLaren. To this speculation though, Alonso responded that he and Hamilton are friends. “We both are very competitive people and we try to beat each other,” says the Spaniard. “We perform, I reckon, really close at this point of the championship. The 10 points I’m behind at the moment was mainly two races. I had problems with the brakes in Canada and I had the safety car when I had to pit, so the luck will also play a excellent factor in this championship, so I need to improve on that maybe. ”
Hamilton for his part downplayed the rumors that he is involved in a power struggle with Alonso. “Fernando has helped me and worked with me and he is a fantastic driver, a two-time world champion,” he said. “There is still a long way to go in this championship. ”
Alonso reiterated that the relationship between him and his teammate is a pleasant one saying: “We are getting to know each other better now. There are some jokes I say to him, like, `You are lucky. ‘ And he tells me that, too. At the moment, it’s a very friendly relationship. ”
The Hungarian Grand Prix was not small on action as Vettel immediately sprinted into the lead from pole position and managed to build a 11. 7s lead ahead of the pack until the safety car was deployed on lap 15.
As soon as the Safety Car was deployed on lap 15, many cars headed straight to the pits to change tyres and re-fuel. This caused a couple of incidents in the pits. Most noticeable was Nico Rosberg’s wheel which was changed but not secured adequately, subsequently came off and luckily did not injure any of the competing mechanics and Rosberg retired as a result of this. Kubica exited his pit and clashed directly into the path of the Force India car driven by Adrian Sutilas as he was entering his pit.
Webber was one of the only front running drivers to not pit and once the safety car went into the pit lane, Webber stayed out and managed to make a 23 second lead ahead of Alonso.
Webber’s lead was helped once Vettel received a drive-through penalty for failing to keep within 10 car lengths behind the safety car.
It seems that the German, Vettel was unaware of his actions until after the race when he was fully briefed by Red Bull. He admitted in the conference to falling asleep. Whatever the case, this penalty lead to Webber making a significant lead over Ferrari driver Fernando Alonso. It seemed that although Vettel remained very close to Alonso, he was simply unable to pass him.
Although Vettel was extremely frustrated, McLaren were too with Hamilton retiring due to a transmission problem and Jenson Button had a lacklustre race finishing 8th.
Williams’ Rubens Barrichello had a lucky escape and described Schumacher’s manouvre as perilous and the worst he had ever witnessed. On Barrichello clearly had the quicker car and was looking to pass, and on lap 66 Barrichello went alongside his former team mate Schumacher on the pit straight and as Barrichello passed him the German went over on him, nearly pushing Barrichello into the pit wall. The stewards announced they will investigate this incident.
Driver’s & Constructor’s Championship
Webber was very pleased with his excellent fortune today and now leads the Driver’s Championship with 161 points ahead of Hamilton who sits on 157 points. Vettel was extremely dissappointed with the drive-through penalty and although he finished 3rd he let yet another pole slip away from him and sits 3rd in the Drivers Championship with 151 points.
In the Constructors’ stakes, Red Bull have taken the lead from Mclaren with 312 points to McLaren’s 304. Ferrari are still in contention and sit in 3rd place with 238.

Taking the world of motor racing by storm, new British F1 driver Lewis Hamilton has achieved a new record with seven podium finishes in a row.
The a 22-year-ancient, finished on the podium in third place in his first Grand Prix in Melbourne, Australia, and then second in the Malaysian Grand Prix just two weeks later. Since then he has gone on to win both North American Grand Prix, in Canada and the US.
He may seem to be an overnight sensation, but Lewis has worked his way into the Formula One racing world since he was a mere youngster.
In an nearly unbelievable stroke of luck, young eleven-year-ancient Lewis participated in, and won, the McLaren Mercedes Champions of the Future series in 1996 and met Ron Dennis, owner and director of the McLaren Formula One racing team. The introduction proved fortuitous for the youngster, who told Dennis that his goal was to race the Formula One circuit. A mere two years later, McLaren signed Lewis Hamilton to his ‘McLaren Driver Development Support’ program. The document served to make Lewis, at thirteen years ancient, the youngest driver in the world to have held an F1 racing contract.
As Lewis became more experienced and participated in pre-Formula One races, he distinguished himself with his dedication and gusto. The boy with the impish smile is still smiling as he poses for publicity shots at various pre-Formula One racing venues in which he has raced, including 2005′s F3 Euro series, which he finished with 15 victories and 13 pole positions.
Lewis spent years racing go-karts and participating in Junior Formula One racing events, including the 2001 British F1 Renault winter series and the 2002 Formula Renault UK, as well as races in Macau and Korea’s Grand Prix races. In 2005, Autosport magazine ranked Lewis 24th among their top 50 drivers.
As he has worked his way up the ranks, Lewis quick earned a reputation as an extremely gifted driver with the flair for daring racing maneuvers that reminds many of the ‘ancient timers’, who maintained top speeds and risky moves as they raced various courses around the world. His star seems to be rising as quick and surely as one of the the first black Formula One racecar drivers in the world.
In 2007, Lewis was signed on as a full time Formula One driver for McLaren’s Formula One racing team, a dream come right for the vibrant, personable racer. He made his Formula One racing debut recently at the Australian Grand Prix this part March, coming in third at the prestigious event in Melbourne.
The likeable rookie from Britain is already making a huge splash in the world of F1 racing, and as eyes from around the world focus on him, he seems to be keeping his head. The talented driver’s name is becoming the keyword in racing circles around the globe as people watch, naturally, to see if his star will continue to rise or fall.
Chances are the world will see Lewis racing at upcoming events which take him to the British Grand Prix to race on his home turf.
His excellent looks and winning smile has made him well loved with the ladies, and fan sites are popping up all over the Internet lauding his praises. His mixed black, white, Caribbean and British ancestry give Lewis unique features that set him apart from his peers, but it’s his infectious smile and need for speed which has set him apart from others since his childhood. His swift rise to fame may equal that of golfer Tiger Woods during his first years in the golf world. So far, the speed with which Lewis has risen in the ranks of F1 racing hasn’t seemed to affect his focus as he pursues his lifelong passion to race.
Upcoming venues, especially at Silverstone, the British Grand Prix, will test the young racer’s mettle against more experienced drivers from around the world, but it appears that young Lewis is willing to watch, listen and learn from veterans in F1 racing, a fact that also serves to endear him to a growing fan base.
Keeping an eye on this rising star in the world of F1 racing won’t be hard at all. The world will watch with bated breath as Lewis competes in upcoming F1 racing venues, and his growing fan base will certainly be ready to cheer him on as he attempts to make his mark in the gritty, grueling world of Formula One racing.
Lewis Hamilton is aiming for this season to start in order for him to start his race for the World Championship as the Formula One formally kicks off this weekend in Melbourne, Australia.
Just one year ago he finished third on his first Grand Prix at Albert Park, but what really caught the eye of the public is the fierce some competitively against his team mate Fernando Alonso. He loved his first rookie season like no other has done it in Formula One; he had a fantastic year claiming four victories and eventually losing the World Championship against the Finn Kimi Raikonen; Ferrari’s driver by just two points.
Hamilton believes he can really improve from last year’s results and he thinks he has more opportunities during this coming weekend an experience that will leave a positive lesson.
Also; Alonso’s departure from the McLaren team to the Renault has given him a leading role that he didn’t had last season. “We’ve been working very, very hard through winter making sure the training’s even better but also preparing the car,” he added “Seeing a new car evolve, seeing the evolution of last year’s car, and seeing the input by me and Heikki (Kovalainen) and Pedro (de la Rosa) and Gary (Paffett), and seeing how we can help push the team forward I reckon is really special, it’s a fantastic experience. ”
The 23 year-ancient Britton also underlined he is completely focused in the Formula One racing since he was a small boy not and not even thinking on the risks this could lead to. He was told by his father that if he studied and trained hard he would keep on racing.
He had to make a lot of sacrifices to be as successful as he is right now. When he chose that he wanted to be a professional driver he dedicated his life to it and so did his family that have been there for him always.
“At a very early stage I made that choice that I wanted to be a Formula One driver so I dedicated my life to it and so did my family. “Along the way there was lots of different turning points and there’s two different roads you can take. It really was about taking that split choice right there and then you don’t have too much time to make the choice, get on with it and I was very, very fortunate that I went down the right route. ”
His entry to the Formula One was so smoothly but he overshadowed many drivers; let’s not forget his previous team mate the Spaniard Fernando Alonso. This uncomfortable situation did also taught him a lesson which was his certain ability to compete and excel in motorsport’s top tier.
Once again it was another exciting weekend in the world of Formula 1. Fans, sponsors and merchandise producers will be impressed by what can be considered one of the most bizarre and treacherous Montreal Grand Prix in history. The winner of the race was Robert Kubica of BMW, after taking advantage of the chaos of its competitors in mid-career major. The result has been surprising many analysts who expect McLaren to dominate the weekend, something that nearly was not a moment of madness. So overall, how the weekend in the pan?
Suppliers of goods and sponsors of McLaren should have been joy after qualifying on pole position was in the form of Lewis Hamilton. The young Briton has made a brilliant return not only surprised the competition, but even their own fans. In some places it was nearly a second quicker than Ferrari. This should be a excellent circuit for the McLaren car, and that here has been dominated in recent years, but the absolute speed of Hamilton has surprised even his own team. Despite the frantic pace of Hamilton, the other driver Heikki Kovaleinan McLaren could not match the speed of your teammate. Something that suppliers of goods and sponsors are well aware that Heikki is not surprising that the world of Formula 1 yet.
It seems that Hamilton would become his pole and victory in the Formula 1 circuit where he recorded his first victory. But the sections of the track I needed to replace the weekend and a lot of safety cars, the F1 race remembers an incident in the pit lane and not on the track. After Adrian Sutil had to stop because of engine problems of the safety car was deployed, is a frustrating race leader Hamilton, who had accumulated a lead of six seconds.
Here is one of the most memorable events of the season, an incident which will not be forgotten by the authors, producers of goods and commentators. As the safety car was lifted in the top five cars took the pit lane for the first round of stops, the Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkenon Hamilton had just passed the exit, but, like the rest of the herd were running behind of the safety car on the pit stop was not authorized. This fact has been lost to Hamilton’s career behind the Finn, who is found not only his own race, but also its main rival.
Sponsors, providers of goods and young British fans will be miserable to learn that since the incident, which was heavily penalized by the officials of Formula 1. After the commissioners of investigators video evidence which concluded that Hamilton was incorrect and he will have to pay for the mistake. The next Formula 1 race in France, the British driver will place a mere ten years after qualification, which should please Ferrari and Kimi, who were naturally upset by the error in Hamilton.
That said, we must not forget that the authors, fans and cargo companies with Robert Kubica and BMW will be in ecstasy. This is the first Formula 1 victory for the German team this season. Of course, it was a victory that took advantage of the misfortune of major competitors, but nothing should be removed from Kubica, who suffocated her own demons in the Montreal circuit where he crashed horribly last year. His performance was solid and now heads the championship of Formula 1. As we go to France, it will be fascinating to see how the ten place penalty Hamilton prevent and, if their main rivals will be able to take the initiative and really punish the Brit for his mistake.
After Hamilton has learned from his state of competition in the first three truck races this season, finishing up with a 14th place at Atlanta Motor Speedway, before handing the wheel to his son, Bobby Hamilton Jr. He then started a chemotherapy and radiotherapy. In August, he chose to return to work after doctors performed well for his CT back in the unity of Bobby Hamilton Racing in Mount Juliet. But, cancer cells remained on the lower right side of the neck.
He was very passionate and grateful to his career in general and NASCAR in particular. A word from Hamilton about his health were as follows: “Cancer is an ongoing battle, and once he was diagnosed to live forever with the thought of the disease in the body,” “worst thing you can imagine. “I like what I do, I like this profession,” “NASCAR has been excellent to me, and I do not feel comfortable when I’m with her. “
Hamilton has participated in all three major NASCAR divisions and starts at 371 and won four times what the current Nextel Cup Series. Some of his successes include Talladega 2001 500 and 2004 Craftsman Truck Series Champion. His best year was in 1996 when it ranked ninth in the rankings also point to win his first Cup race this year in Phoenix.
During the years between 1989 and 2005 led to the NASCAR level produced earnings of $ 14. 3 million and 20 runs in the top five. He became a full-time driver-owner of the Truck Series in 2003.
Hamilton has been very well loved and loved person, not only by his family and friends, but also by other members of NASCAR.
Formula One rookie Lewis Hamilton claimed another victory in Sunday’s Indy race. Although a newcomer, the 22-year-ancient Briton defying the mantra ‘no one is born a master of his craft. “The race on Sunday was his second successive pole.
UK knowledge of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway has been supported by media reports, but each workout on the track, started to dominate the place. This knowledge has paid the United States Grand Prix on Sunday. “When I took the second pole here is even better than the first,” said Hamilton, whose team changed engines after the Friday test. “When I heard the line and the team told me I was P1 (the pole), I screamed in my helmet.”
On Sunday, Hamilton pursued in the world, as the euphoria of his notable victory has been made for a silent confidence. “Being in the mail twice a week is fantastic,” Hamilton said. “I like North America, here’s a challenge to get to a track for the first time and I learned new things every corners and at every turn. The car is working well and the team did a fantastic job, hopefully the team can do better in the race. “
”Lewis is a fantastic talent and McLaren Mercedes and invested in his career. Ron (Dennis) gave him his first chance, and both Ron and Martin (Whitmarsh) have supported since Lewis. Certainly learned a lot during his Formula Three years in Germany and in season in GP2 in 2006, “said Norbert Haug of McLaren. “Lewis has been supported by McLaren and Mercedes-Benz for nine years and has been a part of our motorsports family for a long period. He is strong and has learned a lot – it can handle the pressure is on him. “
Questioned how to deal with Alonso is the fact that his largest competition is his teammate with less experience, Haug said: “Fernando has not only chosen a new challenge with a new team, but also with a new co- teammate. The competition between our two pilots is a excellent thing, and respect each other. This contest is also beneficial for the whole team and provides fascinating battle for viewers. We would prefer that a situation in which a driver was miles away from each other. “
With McLaren 35 points ahead of Ferrari in the constructors’ championship, “he is willing to make the necessary improvements for France. After disappointing results and sustainability over the last two races and the fact that McLaren have the most points, the Ferrari team should make greater efforts in the coming races.
”There is no doubt that we are not satisfied with the result,” said Stefano Domenicali, Sporting Director of Ferrari. “The third and fourth is not ours, because we wanted to come here to North America to try to reduce the gap and we did the opposite, because we lost 15 points. “
According to Luca Baldisserri, the Ferrari boss of the ramp, the recent difficulties of the team are mostly from poor performances in qualifying. “The problem is that of being behind the classification means that we will have a tough race,” he said. “We have a completely different aero package test at Silverstone. So I hope we can have a more Simple. “
Apart from Ferrari, BMW Sauber also requires a significant amount of improvement ahead in the championship. Fans wait for the son of BMW spark plugs and other parts to be in brilliant position to enhance the performance of the pilot.
Lewis Hamilton, world champion in Formula One, won the victory in Turkey, after eight months since his last victory at Singapore Grand Prix in 2009.

The power of Red Bull has helped to spread rapidly from his closest pursuers, what made them reckon they had secured the victory. At that time, Hamilton saw his chances of advance have been reduced.

Lewis Hamilton, the sensational rookie season, had the disadvantage of Formula One where he interrupted test session with McLaren in Valencia high-speed accident. Fortunately, the leader of the Formula One Championship was unhurt.
Hamilton braked late and stuck in the tire wall at Ste Devote, the first corner at the end of the pit straight, with the afternoon is a half-hour marked by clashes in the streets of Monte Carlo wire fences . Hamilton, 22, who leads the drivers’ championship, has an unmatched record in Monaco after his previous visits in GP2 and F3 cars. But on Thursday, was one of five drivers to crash.
“Everybody makes mistakes, I am human and I went back, tried to stop too quickly, but he ran into the wall,” Hamilton said. “I just locked the rear wheels, and as they appeared before the apex I lost the rear, tried to stop too quickly, but he ran into the wall. ”
“It’s a mistake all drivers make, I would rather he was in a training session in which it is to find the limits of the car in qualifying, where you need a penalty on the grid or hinder his career, “said Ron Dennis, the McLaren boss. “Finding the limit of this circuit is a challenge for any pilot. Prefer not to have a bent racing car but in the circumstances, we are very pleased with his contribution to the season. He still has some excellent points in his hand. ”
“Lewis is healthy. But, driving MP4-22 is seriously hurt and not repairable in Valencia for Lewis to continue its test program tomorrow,” said McLaren. “The cause of the accident is under investigation.”
“I hope he wins a race soon, but it is unfair to describe it as a favorite to Monaco,” said the director of competition for jobs McLaren’s engine supplier.
“It was exceptional and the second three times. He has had fantastic races (Monaco) in the past. It is a street racer. He likes this kind of tracks. But now, the emphasis is perhaps his too much, “said Mercedes motorsport boss Norbert Haug Hamilton season.
Hamilton, the youngest driver to take the world championship, was still the fastest driver in third place behind his teammate Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen of Ferrari – two former winners of Monaco. With Hamilton out of action, the double world champion Alonso will continue his familiarization session on the Spanish circuit. Alonso was fastest in both sessions and the only rider to lap in less than 1min16. His best lap in the afternoon was 1min15. 940 after the execution of 1min16. 973 in the morning.
The race in Monaco, one of the most well-known Formula One fans are doing to advance the best measures that could make them forget the BMW distributor cap and other concerns.
Championship leader Lewis Hamilton was a new record after another on her new career in Formula One Grand Prix in Europe, but, broke her own record of finishing in the top three in each race which has been involved in Formula One British pilot has not only failed to end among the top three, but neither had any points after finishing ninth.
Although lead Hamilton to twelve points going into the Grand Prix of Europe is now just two points ahead of teammate Fernando Alonso, the rookie sensation of kids who just smiled at his disastrous European Grand Prix. Hamilton is not worried by the threat of Ferrari drivers, who have shown a resurgence over the last three races.
consecutive victories recovery Kimi Raikkonen before the Grand Prix of Europe and its pole position in qualifying on Saturday do not worry, Hamilton. Ferrari and McLaren have five wins and also has five, but both McLaren ahead of Ferrari duo, due to end in the points consistently.
But with Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen, who shows signs of recovery, Hamilton and Alonso will face a challenge as Ferrari drivers for the championship drivers. “I’m not concerned about the Ferrari,” is what Hamilton has to say about this resurgence.
The British driver, but does not take into account the speed of Ferrari cars. On the other hand, it also relies on the capabilities of their vehicles. “Obviously, they are extremely quick and competitive, but do not reckon we should underestimate our own pace and I’ll just try to do the best job possible,” Hamilton said.
In the Grand Prix of Europe, the disastrous weekend for Hamilton started in qualifying Saturday. A malfunctioning air gun lead to an accident caused by the front wheels in bulk. The accident occurred near the margin of Hamilton, but was acquitted of the race. His best time has been so excellent for tenth place.
“At some point you’re just a passenger, then hold his life,” said Hamilton about his accident. “When you reach the wall you hope it’s not that painful. But he was very very painful in the chest and legs. I waited a while before my departure. Finally, I could leave but I had problems with my legs. I that the collision could not stand. I was aware . I am from chest pain. ”
While in other parts of your race car manufacturers were made by the same high quality axles Mercedes-Benz to remain intact for Sunday’s race, the rain has prevented him from completing higher than ninth.
After a disappointing weekend, championship leader showed why he is considered one of the classiest drivers in Formula One, Hamilton, smiling after its ninth session, or even try to blame someone or something but negative turned into positive.
“I came here completely sick, one of the largest crashes I had, had a puncture, rain, came under a hail of stones, etc.. It was a fantastic weekend for learning. I’ve probably had less than 500 km moist, nearly anything. It’s all new to me. I hope that this unfortunate road. I’m still leading the world championship and find that quite amusing after what happened. I had more fun than in the past nine races together, “he stammered.
Lewis Hamilton, world champion in Formula 1 defense inTurkey finished first in the Grand Prix, after eight months without making a podium at the start of the F1 circuit. His last was held at Singapore Grand Prix in 2009.
Again, on the demanding circuit of Istanbul Park, the fierce riders from the Red Bull Racing and McLaren-Mercedes have shown they are the initiators in one of the best rivalries in sports.
There was heavy fighting between riders in the qualifying stages of the race. Both Mark Webber and Lewis Hamilton were taking huge risk and the sinking of the end line in an intense race to the pole position.
Webber has had some problems with his engine during the last qualifying race on Saturday. Despite mechanical problems, was able to record the fastest lap. Hamilton, who is stuck on the accelerator to the floor was able to take second on the grid. This prompted a team partner Mark Webber, Sebastian Vettel third.
From the outset, Vettel took advantage of a small space outside the left Hamilton and went against the English corridor. During the second curve, the experienced pilot was able to regain second place. The triad Hamilton, Webber, Vettel and dominated the first half of the race. They were very dominant until the inmate three to change their tires on a quick stop.
Hamilton was delayed during his pit stop. This allowed Vettel to go before the English and the second position on lap 16 of the race. Webber was adamant in the first place.
Jenson Button has managed to stay close and have a point behind the Red Bull Racing car. Hamilton was behind him. Since then, the four drivers dominated the rest of the circuit.
Bot teams have played all their best cards. Webber and his teammates remained strong in the pursuit. They were developed. In his name, Button and Hamilton continued to push the front waiting for the two Red Bull drivers to make the slightest mistake of taking the lead. It was an all in one length of all logs of the two top squads.
Red Bull cars were probably quicker than the McLaren. This has helped the two runners ahead of a slow but steady increase their advantage. In an instant, it seems that the two had the race in their hands. Hamilton was left behind. And there was small to do about it.
When runners were on the 40th start of the round, the rivalry between Vettel and Webber arrived at the surface. In his attempt to surpass the leader, Vettel hit his car in the car of his teammate when they tried to close the passage.
Both vehicles finished up leaving trails due to shocks. Vettel took all the weight he has ruined the front of his race car and had to leave. This incident led to speculation in the press F1 races in the state has been clashes between the two Red Bull drivers. The managers of the teams must have been mad enough to see their riders risked all his chances to win the constructors’ championship.
Lewis Hamilton has not missed the opportunity and went to the front of the pack, closely followed by Jenson Button. Webber was able to get his car on the track and worked his way up to third place.
A couple of laps later, Button tried to pass Hamilton. The two cars touched and there were few outbursts of fury of team bosses at McLaren. He ordered the two teammates make no other risky maneuver. They should have learned from the Red Bull team, but it seems that the drivers are very selfish sometimes.
Hamilton and Button stood there and went toward the end in the same orders. Mark Webber was third. Lewis Hamilton added 25 points now with the remaining third place in the standings. Mark Webber is still leading with 93 points.

It may seem like an overnight sensation, but Lewis has worked his way into the world of Formula One since I am a simple young.
In an incredible opportunity, the youngest of eleven years, Lewis has participated and won the McLaren Mercedes Champions of the Future series in 1996 and met Ron Dennis, owner and director of McLaren Formula One was accidentally introduced to youth, Dennis said that his goal was to race Formula One circuit Two years later, McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton, signed “McLaren driver development support program.” This document was used by Lewis, at thirteen, the youngest driver in the world who have held an F1 contract.

The boy with the prankish smile is still smiling while posing for publicity photos in different parts of the pre-race Formula One, he participated, including the F3 Euro Series 2005, which finished with 15 victories and 13 pole positions.
Lewis spent years racing go-karts and participate in events Junior Formula One racing, including the British series of 2001 and winter 2002 Renault F1 Formula Renault UK and Korea and Macau Grand Prix racing. In 2005, Lewis told Autosport magazine ranked 24th among the 50 best drivers.

His star seems to be growing quickly and certainly one of the best drivers in Formula One racing car in the black world.
In 2007, Lewis was signed to full time as a Formula One driver to Formula One team McLaren a dream come right for the pilot vibrant atmosphere. He made his debut in Formula One last time in the Australian Grand Prix in March of this part, is in third place in the prestigious event in Melbourne.

It is likely that the world will race Lewis in the upcoming events that lead to the Grand Prix at the race at their own game

Until now, the speed with which Lewis has risen in the ranks of the F1 race has not seemed to affect his approach, he pursued his lifelong passion for racing.
nearby places, especially in Silverstone, the GP of Fantastic Britain, will test the courage of the young driver against more experienced drivers around the world, but it seems that the young Lewis is ready to watch, listen and learn from veterans of the F1 races, a fact which is also used to get to see him with a fan base growing.

The world will look with fantastic anticipation that the next race in F1 race Lewis sites, and their fan base more and more will certainly be ready to encourage them in their attempt to make his mark in the rough and exhausting world of Formula One
Despite the messy race, the Britton Lewis Hamilton started Sunday with a lucky strike obtaining an brilliant victory in the Australian Grand Prix the first race of the Formula 1 world championship.
Lewis who finished last year’s in second position in the drivers’ championship ranking was able to avoid a series of accidents making this his fifth triumph for the McLaren motor racing team. Hamilton never felt pressured and was very pleased with the timing of 1 hour, 34 minutes and 50,616 seconds. Surpassing for 5. 4 seconds the Germans Nick Heidfield (BMW Sauber) and Nico Rosberg (of Williams). Just 22 drivers were able to end the 58 laps race from the 58 ones that started at the grid.
On the other hand, the Spaniard Fernando Alonso who started in 11th place took some advantages and managed a fourth place. Alonso who now runs for Renault overcame in the last lap the Finn Haikki Kovalainen, the other McLaren’s driver. Then we have the current champion Kimi Raikkonen who ran out of fuel and had to take his Ferrari to the pits only three laps before the end of the race.
This was indeed an brilliant race that Hamilton knew how to take control of from the beginning. The race finished in the first curve of the Alberta Park a 5. 303 kilometres (3. 295 miles) circuit leaving five vehicles out of competition with unfinished laps.
This was the first time since the 2003 season that Fernando Alonso is not in a podium position in Melbourne; but despite the results the Spaniard was shown pleased valuing the difficulties of Renault in the previous preparation stage.
Alonso stated they tried to maximize the opportunities that came up and that he finishes his first Grand Prix with a excellent result, which will provide excellent confidence to the team.
Raikkonen managed to rescue a point when the commissioners annulled the sixth place, the Brazilian Rubens Barrichello (Honda) by leaving the pits zone when the lights were in red. This was Ferrari’s only point more less the worst start of season for the Italian motor-racing team since 1992.
The Japanese Kazuki Nakajima (Williams) and the French rookie Sebastien Bourdais (Toro Rosso) also managed to obtain points remaining sixth and seventh, respectively. Bourdais, four times champion in the Champ Car, got some point despite the fact he did not complete the distance of the entire race.
This race was also Force India’s debut; the Italian Giancarlo Fisichella excelled among the four injured of the first lap. The local Mark Webber (Red Bull) and the Briton Jenson Button (Honda) also were in that group.
Hamilton stated this race reminded him of his first Formula One victory in Montreal; a fantastic challenge he knew he could do well in it. “I felt fantastic, one never thinks that can be so quickly as a blinking, just as it was. Also it was a fantastic preparation for Malaysia, and already I am nervous to compete there”, declared Hamilton.
Going into his home race debut, championship leader Lewis Hamilton is looking for another win. The British rookie Formula One driver though urges his countrymen to delight in the weekend festivities surrounding the race whatever the outcome may be. Although the rookie sensation says that he is excited to win in front of his countrymen, he said that he will not go for broke.
The rookie driver for McLaren holds the distinction of being the youngest individual to secure a Formula One driving contract. He is also the first individual of African or Caribbean descent to compete in a Grand Prix. Thus he is also the first of that descent to win a Grand Prix. In his eight races so far in his Formula One career, the rookie sensation has already broken record after record. But the upcoming Grand Prix is a special one for him.
“Without a doubt, the Santander British Grand Prix will be the largest race of the year for me, as it’s my debut home race,” said Hamilton. “It is going to be another new experience, I expect the atmosphere will be incredible and I cannot wait to race in front of my home fans. ”
The Briton already has two wins in his career which came at the North American leg of the Formula One calendar. He posted back-to-back wins at the Canadian and the United States Grands Prix. But at the recently concluded French Grand Prix, the rookie only finished third after Ferrari showed signs of resurgence. After Ferrari’s one-two end at the French Grand Prix, Hamilton said that fans should be realistic in their expectations. “To win at this race would be immense, but we have to be realistic with our expectations,” he said.
“This is one race out of 17 and as with all the grand’s prix, I will do my best to win for the fans, but the most vital thing for them is to delight in the whole weekend whatever the result will be,” he added further.
As for his past performance at the Silverstone Circuit, Hamilton said that he performed well in the tracks and is looking forward to the next race. “Silverstone always seems to have fantastic races. I certainly had fun here last year as you can really push the limits,” said Hamilton.
Last year, the rookie had a taste of how British racing fans will welcome him this year. “That weekend with GP2 last year is something I will never forget; the response from the crowd was like nothing I had ever experienced before and I can’t wait to get back out on track,” he said.
This Sunday, Hamilton will be driving his MP4-22 with the Mercedes-Benz sourced engine and Mercedes-Benz brake pad sensor and the works. He clarified that they will be racing at a radically different track on Sunday compared to last weekend and what they need to do to the car to ensure excellent performance. “The Silverstone circuit is very different to Magny-Cours (where we were last weekend) due to all the high speed corners. ”
“It still needs a set-up compromise to make sure we have high speed stability for first section though and grip for the latter part with the slower corners such as Priory and Brooklands. You are also under heavy loadings for much of the lap, so it is quite tough. I hope everyone enjoys the race and the team has a fantastic result,” Hamilton concluded.
The Spanish racetracks could lose the hosting of two future Formula 1 championship races as a result of the racist insults Lewis Hamilton received from some fans during a test session this past weekend. The FIA informed on Monday that the foul language against Hamilton at the Barcelona’s circuit, the first F1 black driver could end in sanctions.
According to the FIA’s regulation, the punishment may include the races’ recoil from the Grand Prix calendar. The Spanish Grand Prix is scheduled for next April 27th at Montmeló, the circuit where the incidents took place. Meantime, this year the Spanish country also receives the Europe Grand Prix, which takes place on August 24th in Valencia.
“We are going to send a letter to Spain’s national sports authorities to determine what happened that weekend and based on that report we will choose what measures to take”, declared Monday the FIA. “The Formula 1 is a multicultural global sport. . . No episodes have existed similar to this in its history and we do not want them to repeat”.
The 23-years-ancient Hamilton was booed and insulted each time his car was transferred toward the pits zone on Saturday. In his rookie season, in 2007, Hamilton remained second in the drivers’ championship.
The incident focused at the group of fans who were dressed with wigs and black undershirts, which had stamped the phrase “Family of Hamilton”. The Montmeló circuit administrators condemned the racist insults and did not rule out to take legal measures. They advised “they will not allow the smallest incident to take place at their locations and new measures are already being studied to be established for the last trainings”.
“The certain thing is that I feel somewhat sad, I like this country and especially the city of Barcelona and its circuit, which is one of my three favourites”, declared Hamiltom.
Hamilton believes the incident was due to last year’s situation between him and Fernando Alonso, which prevented the Spaniard driver from winning his third consecutive F1 title, therefore Alonso switched teams and he is currently Renault’s main driver.
“I wanted that (the Spaniard fans) know my situation”, indicated Hamilton. “The unique thing I have done is to try to do the best and win the championship. In no possible way I wanted to deliberate affect Fernando, but this quarrel certainly affects my image in Spain”.
On the other hand, the F1 team McLaren tried to reduce importance to the incidents. “McLaren has been participated in the Spanish circuits for many years and everyone involved in the team, including Lewis, keep fantastic respect to Spain and to the Spanish town”, affirmed the motor-racing team, according to a press release.
After facing a very hard race and overcoming all the obstacles in the race, Lewis Hamilton accomplished another victory at the Monaco Grand Prix despite the slippery conditions and an early accident. This victory gave him the advantage in the Formula One standings.
The McLaren driver, who started third on the grid, finished 3 seconds ahead of BMW Sauber’s Robert Kubica, while pole sitter Felipe Massa of Ferrari was third at Formula One’s most well-known race.
“This is going to be the highlight of my career,” Hamilton said after giving McLaren its 15th win in 26 races in the principality. “I stayed optimistic and brought it home. It was the most fun I’ve had in a race, ever. ”
During the first laps of the race the young Britton driver smashed the wall but then took advantage of the mistake Massa made while racing. Massa, starting from the pole, ran off the track 16 laps but lost the lead to Hamilton who was able to make up for the time he previously lost.
The Britton now possesses 38 points in the overall standings, three points more than the defending champion Kimi Raikkonen whose luck was not on his side as he finished in the ninth position. The Finn’s day started pretty terrible with a drive-through penalty and finished with an accident involving the Force India driver Adrian Sutil, but Raikkonen now moves to the second position. Massa is third with 34 points and Kubica next with 32.
Rain showers were intermittent as the drivers took the streets circuit. Hamilton started sandwiched between the Ferraris after moving ahead of Raikkonen on a clean start over the 20 vehicles that were competing that morning. Most drivers were nearly 20 seconds slower than Saturday’s qualifying
Additionally, for the second day on a row David Coulthard lost control of his Red Bull machine and crashed out before Toro Rosso’s Sebastien Bourdais. Six drivers retired as the 78-lap race was transformed into a clock countdown with Hamilton heading the lead to the end.
Ferrari’s driver Massa was left behind as Kubica took over passed him but things did not look very promising. “I lost the radio for like 20 laps. I couldn’t talk to the team, I just looked at the board,” Massa said. “It wasn’t simple to know what was going on in the race. ”
This was the second time Hamilton raced in wet and slippery conditions; last year he won the Japanese Grand Prix which was a very complex race due to the weather conditions. But this time in Monaco Hamilton was 17 seconds ahead at the halfway point and with the track drying out, he set another quick lap, 3 seconds better than Massa to push out his lead. The McLaren driver was clear with only the weather to worry about after a quick pit after 54 laps ; a perfect ending for a troubled tale as the standings’ board gets really fascinating.
Once again it was another supremely exciting weekend in the world of Formula 1. Fans, sponsors and merchandise producers will be impressed with what may be regarded as one of the most bizarre and treacherous Montreal Grand Prix in history. The eventual winner of the race was BMW’s Robert Kubica, after taking advantage of mid-race chaos from the other major competitors. The result was surprising for many commentators who expected McLaren to dominate the entire weekend, something they nearly did had it not been for a moment of madness. So overall how did the race weekend pan out?
The merchandise suppliers and sponsors to McLaren must have been jubilant after qualifying saw them on pole position in the form of Lewis Hamilton. The young Brit had place in a sparkling lap that not only stunned the competition but even his own fans. In places he was nearly a second quicker that than the Ferraris. This was expected to be a excellent track for the McLaren car as they had dominated here in past years but the sheer speed of Hamilton astonished even his own team. Despite Hamilton’s blistering pace, Heikki Kovaleinen the other driver for McLaren could not match his team mate’s velocity. Something the merchandise suppliers and sponsors will be acutely aware of as Heikki has failed to amaze the Formula 1 world just yet.
It looked as if Hamilton was going to convert his pole and take the win on the Formula 1 circuit where he recorded his maiden win. But with sections of the track that needed replacing over the weekend and a host of safety cars this Formula 1 race will be remembered for an incident in the pit lane rather than on the racetrack. After Adrian Sutil had needed to pull over due to engine problems the safety car was deployed, a frustrating fact for race leader Hamilton who had built up a six second lead.
Next was to be one of the most memorable events of the season, an incident that will not be forgotten by sponsors, merchandise producers and commentators alike. As the safety car was lifted the top five cars poured into the pit lane for the first round of stops, Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkenon had just pipped Hamilton to the exit; but, as the rest of the pack were still filing past after the safety car exit from the pit stop was not allowed. This fact was missed by Hamilton as he careered into the back of the Finn, ending not only his own race but also that of his main rival.
Sponsors, merchandise suppliers and fans of the young Brit will be miserable to hear that since the incident he has been heavily penalised by Formula 1 officials. After the stewards investigated the video evidence they came to the conclusion that it was Hamilton’s mistake and he will have to pay for the error. The next Formula 1 race in France will see the British driver take a ten place penalty after qualifying; a fact that should please Ferrari and Kimi, who were understandably miffed by Hamilton’s error.
That said it should not be forgotten that sponsors, fans and merchandise companies associated with Robert Kubica and BMW will be ecstatic. This is the maiden Formula 1 race win for the German team this season. Granted it was a win that took advantage of the misfortune of the main competitors but nothing should be taken away from Kubica who quelled his own demons at the Montreal circuit where he had crashed horrifically last year. His performance was solid and now he finds himself at the top of the Formula 1 driver standings. As we go to France it will be fascinating to see how much the ten place penalty will impede Hamilton and whether his main rivals will be able to take the initiative and really punish the Brit for his mistake.
Up until this weekend the start that Lewis Hamilton had experienced in Formula 1 had been a dream come right. Despite the tyre difficulties in China last year, his experience so far been on the whole excellent; this was until Bahrain, here he had one hell of a weekend and most will consider this the worst weekend of his racing career. More widely but the Sakhir circuit saw fortune fail for McLaren, and instead choose to favour rivals Ferrari.
The weekend started poorly for Lewis Hamilton, during the practise session on Friday he crashed and dominated headlines worldwide. The crash saw Hamilton lose control of his car in a high speed corner and crash into the barriers wrecking the majority of his car. Things but got worse for the team and especially Lewis Hamilton.
Saturday’s qualifying session saw McLaren blighted by relatively slow pace with Lewis only managing to gain a place in the second row and team mate Kovalainen placing in fifth. This slow pace meant that the two British cars were sitting behind not only Ferrari but also BMW Sauber. In a race where McLaren had performed well last year this was a surprising outcome. At the start of the weekend they would have expected at least a front row placing.
If qualifying was poor for Lewis Hamilton, Sunday’s race would prove to be both traumatic and disappointing. While the rest of the pack got off to a decent start, Hamilton in a rare momentary lapse place his car in the incorrect engine setting and finished up falling to tenth place. Hamilton, always the first to blame himself openly admitted the mistake but at this point the young Brit could have salvaged the situation and maybe have gained a podium end. The odds were always stacked against him after this mistake but and battling through the pack would not only prove hard, but next to impossible.
During a tussle with ex-team mate Fernando Alonso in the Renault, Hamilton managed to clip the Spanish driver’s rear end and completely rip off his front wing. This meant that Lewis would have to make an unscheduled stop and lose yet another three places. The ever philosophical Hamilton stated after the race that it was the kind of incident that occurs in racing and that it would not faze him too much in future races. He has been lucky to avoid this kind of occurrence in the majority of his races and it was inevitable that something that was going to happen at some point in his career.
McLaren’s other driver experienced a better race than Hamilton, he managed to stay out of distress and recorded a fifth place end. He even set the quickest lap of the race in the final stages of the GP. Even with this solid performance the slow pace in qualifying was evident in the race as he could not challenge for a podium behind the BMWs and Ferraris.
The poor performance sees the British team fall to third in the driver’s championship, something they will be hoping to rectify in the upcoming races. As the Formula 1 procession comes to Europe McLaren will be expecting excellent performances from both their drivers. BMW are rapidly becoming a force to be reckoned with this season and are readily snaffling points as soon as the major teams make a mistake.
For Lewis Hamilton the major concern will be righting the points deficit to championship leader Kimi Raikkonen. He will be hoping to find the pace that he has been lacking in the last two races. Last season Lewis did well in Europe and will be hoping to do the same this year. The youngster was recorded as saying that he was still optimistic that a title would be forthcoming. The season is still in its early stages and as the tour comes to the spiritual homeland of Europe the championship race is still wide open.
After the latest 60 laps British Grand Prix where Hamilton Lewis managed to crown himself as the fastest man at Silverstone with a time record of 1:39:09. 440 in spite of the rainy conditions he now stands besides his most demanding rivals both Ferrari drivers; current world champion Raikkonen and pointing leader the Brazilian Massa.
Since his Monaco win Hamilton had not been able to score any points until the well-deserved victory obtained over the weekend. This was indeed an outstanding driving for Hamilton whose performance was a show of skill, aggressiveness, and seniority despite his young age.
Those to follow Hamilton where BMW’s Nick Heidfeld who arrived in second position while Rubens Barrichello arrived third but it was very clear no one would get even close to Hamilton who controlled the race from beginning to end. Not even Ferrari‘s top driver Kimi Räikkönen who completed his laps arriving in fourth position.
The three speed masters now share the first position in the current Formula One 2008 Championship standings with 48 points all; this is quite interested as the race for the title gets tighter and tighter as it moves forward especially now that there are only nine races left. Meantime; the 67-lap-race at Hockenheim in Germany will be the tie-breaker for these incredible drivers. But let’s not forget that last year’s podium positions where taken by F. Massa in second place and K. Raikkonen in third position.
Of the three drivers McLaren’s driver Hamilton has been the one who has faced the most struggles throughout the season as he has overcome crashes, mechanical problems, fines, and public opinion punishments for misleading behaviour. Bur regardless he continues to shine as he did in his land last Sunday. On the other hand; Ferrari drivers Raikkonen and Massa will not miss a chance to grasp any possible points in the coming competitions especially Raikkonen who is the title defender.
Another fact which could manipulate or be a positive item in the general feeling that is lived in the speedway is that the McLaren team has recently finished all sorts of spy disputes with counterpart Ferrari. . . as they have settled completely; this is a relief even for the drivers as the issues have been aside for excellent.
The teams’ standings continue to be led by the Italian team Ferrari with a total of 96 points closely followed by BMW-Sauber with 82 points and in third place the McLaren team with 72 in total. The following three spots are taken by Toyota, Red Bull and Williams but the point difference between the top three and these teams stands above the 50 points.
The predictions for the next race on July 20th are very strong as it is expected to see the strategies these drivers will implement in order to become the absolute number one; as well as to gain extra points for their team.
Well here we have it, the most entertaining and exciting season in F1 for many years, there are two main reasons for this, firstly the retirement of the F1 master Michael himself and secondly the emergence of McLaren and Lewis Hamilton.
This by itself would make for an entertaining season but of course there is a large slice of lime in the cocktail now that gives it a refreshing sharpness. Of course I am referring to the now very public divorce of Lewis and Fernando within the McLaren team.
The latest spat has resulted in them not talking to each other; presumably this will be separate meals, separate training and separate beds if it continues. So where will this end? And what is the underlying reason for so much terrible feeling from two successful drivers.
Well its as simple as this, enter Alonso, current world champion and expected to be the dominant force for 2007, then enter Hamilton the rookie, no experience, young, never raced in an F1 grand prix and a complete pretender.
No pressure then for Alonso we thought, but underneath he was already concerned, here was a young guy with nothing expected of him, it was his rookie season to get confidence and bag a few points. Already Hamilton had shown speed in testing and preparation, already he was showing a cold professional edge, already he was the subject of much media attention and that alone would make Alonso squirm, after all Fernando is the world champion and so that alone demanded attention.
As the initial races unfolded there were 3 words written in praise for Lewis for every positive word written about Alonso, within 6 races most of the publicity for the current world champion was starting to look very negative.
He was beaten in testing, beaten in qualifying and beaten in the races, he was also being beaten in the drivers standings! Underneath he had already started the excuses, the its not honest routine, the team is biased, I am not getting my number 1 driver support all of the usual excuses one sees when a sport person is falling from grace.
The body language was all negative, the after race comments sour and the expression was green with envy. At this point Alonso needed something quick, he needed to place the rookie back in place and for a couple of races he did, and so did Ferrari. But at the last GP Lewis showed his mettle, he showed his hunger and he showed his will to win.
Alonso had nothing to respond with, Lewis showed his steely edge in early qualifying before Alonso blocked him in the pit lane as his response. The official version seems somewhat sanitised but the outcome was Alonso relegated from pole position and Hamilton winning the race.
The end result is a very open dissention by both drivers who seem to be acting independently of the team and the orders of the boss. I am sure that Ron Dennis is at best displeased at the current maverick approach by his drivers, certainly a picture of him throwing his headphones around is not related to him having no sugar in his tea.
The real winners here are the sports followers, the spectacle of fantastic racing, a honestly even, huge personalities and the drama of driver conflict, what more could we want from a racing season?
As the new F1 Grand Prix season gathers pace there is a growing excitement among racing fans, the departure of Michael Schumacher from Ferrari has left a void in the motor racing world both for Ferrari and for motor racing fans in general.
The excellent news of course is that Lewis Hamilton has already stepped into the void and has become the new focus for much media attention, Ferrari will lament the fact that they never got the chance to sign this new exciting talent but what are the odds on Lewis driving for Ferrari in the near future?
One of the fantastic spectacles of F1 racing is the colour and razzmatazz can be seen at the circuits on race day, each circuit location has its loyal followers and of course these numbers are swelled by the travelling fans who follow motor racing. The colours are vibrant for each team which is reflected through the fans, there is a growing trend to wear F1 clothing from the top teams and you will now see everything form race suits to jackets and caps at each circuit.
The wearing of F1 team clothing was driven by the success of glamorous teams such as Ferrari, McLaren and Jordan, this has now been so well loved that you will see all the well loved team colours worn in everyday life and of course supermodels such as Jordan herself has regularly been pictured in the yellow of her F1 team namesake.
Of course the glamorous lifestyle of the top racing drivers and their accompanying entourage is a fantastic advert for these new styles and people want to be like their role models. The coverage on television is now spread over two days with the interviews and pre-race coverage profiling the F1 bandwagon in all its glory.
At Silverstone the crowd was alive with excitement and the stands were a sea of flags, colour and regalia for Lewis Hamilton. The sheer excitement of the qualifying session could be felt nearly through the television screen and one could sense that when Lewis hit the hot lap in the final seonds that every lounge in the UK was full of fans leaping around waving flags.
Of course it is not just flags, fans are wearing t-shirts and drinking their tea in mugs whilst sporting all amnner of merchandise. The increase in demand for this type of sports clothing has now led to teams really starting to work on their merchandise.
Perhaps the most striking evidence of this increase is the emergence of the top F1 teams into the retail market through the Internet, all have now heavily invested into this arena and of course they are feeding a growing market.
The sales through Internet channels are boosted by Ebay and Kelkoo and of course Froogle (the Google shopping portal), it is predicted that this market will double over the next 12 months and the renewed interest in F1 thanks to Lewis Hamilton and competitive racing will influence this further.
Such is the importance of image and design now in this growing market that fashion designers and fashion moguls have been seconded in to make the latest stunning range of fashionable merchandise, a look at the latest range of apparel will reveal a stunning line of clothing, a second look will reveal this clothing not just at the trackside but also in the playground, the park, the High St and all aspects of everyday life.
In fact it is not just the adult males who are wearing it, the trend has migrated to teenagers wearing caps and t-shirts and youngsters who want to be wearing the latest Ferrari or McLaren race suit when they are playing in the garden and it has also taken F1 fashion to the female population. The fact that it is quite normal now to see a lady walking down the street in the latest clothing and this shows just how far this trend has gone because the ultimate purveyors of fashion are women.
Yes the new season is reaching new heights and even though Lewis didnt win at Silverstone he still made the podium and still leads the championship. The battle for the drivers and constructors championship is warming up and the competition in ‘retail land’ looks set to be heating up too.
After the Grand Prix 60 laps-Grand, where Lewis Hamilton won the crown as the fastest at Silverstone with a record time of 1:39:09. 440 despite the wet conditions which is now also the most demanding rivals both Ferrari’s world champion Raikkonen and Massa scoring leader. Since winning Monaco Hamilton could not score points until the well-deserved victory earned during the weekend. It was truly exceptional driving Hamilton whose performance was a show of skill, aggressiveness, and seniority, despite his young age. The following Hamilton Nick Heidfeld of BMW where he was in second position, while Rubens Barrichello was third, but it was very clear that nobody nowhere near Hamilton, who controlled the race from start to end. Not even Ferrari, Kimi Raikkonen, who finished their rounds to reach the fourth position. The three masters of speed now share first place in the current Formula One Championship in 2008, the championship with 48 points while, which is very concerned and that the title race is tighter than you especially now that only has nine races to go. Meanwhile, the 67-laps race at Hockenheim in Germany will be the tiebreaker for these incredible pilots. But do not forget the podium last year were taken by F. Massa and Raikkonen in second K. third. Of the three McLaren drivers Hamilton was the one who faced the most struggles all season as he surpassed accidents, mechanical problems, fines and penalties for the conduct of misleading public opinion. Bur what it still shines, as it did in their home country on Sunday. In addition, the Ferrari drivers Raikkonen and Massa does not miss the opportunity to capture all possible points in the competition which comes mainly from Raikkonen, who is the defending champion. Another factor that may affect or be a positive element in the overall feeling that exists on the highway, is that the McLaren team has recently completed all types of disputes with their counterparts in Ferrari espionage. . . and who have settled in full, which is a relief, even for drivers and issues have been shelved forever. ranking of these teams are still led by the Italian team Ferrari with a total of 96 points closely followed by the BMW-Sauber with 82 points and third place for McLaren, with 72 total. The following three points are made by Toyota, Red Bull and Williams, but the difference in points between the first three, and these teams is more than 50 points. Predictions for the next race on July 20 are very strong and we expect to see these drivers implement strategies to become the undisputed leader and earn extra points for his team.
