Sharpton? S punish racist media? Information S Michael Jackson
Having the Rev. Al Sharpton bloviating to corrupt the memorial service for Michael Jackson held in Los Angeles on Tuesday, July 7, 2009. It is not the first time accomplished the search for the irreverent reverend media has done something of this nature. And as long as he considered that the spokesman for all of black America and black America as it allows perpetuate the fake image the rest of us, not the last.
In his sermon exaggerated / conference during a service Sunday in Los Angeles prior to the memorial service held on Tuesday, Al suggests no doubt that Michael Jackson was the victim of racial injustice during his lifetime and perhaps more now in his death. Even at the funeral had a tinge of disappointment in Sharpton commentsSunday sermon from the pulpit of the First African Methodist Episcopal Church of Los Angeles, Sharpton lamented media coverage of the death of Michael Jackson.
“I’m here because of the shame and despicable form elements of the media have tried to ruin the legacy and image of Michael Jackson”, ranted that the congregation, based on media media have different standards for black and white celebrities. “You’ve had other artists who have had problems in his life,” he said. “But do not degrade and denigrate them … Show the same respect for the family of Michael and Michael showed Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley.” (Note to the Reverend Al: There are countless books in your local library detailing the many shortcomings of these two artists.) Hogwash, Reverend Al! You of all people are familiar with the media has handled the death of Jackson with kid gloves, especially ignoring their lifestyles ultra-rare, altering antics of cosmetic surgery, and multiple counts of child molestation countless hours while broadcasting of homage and worship to the attention of pop legacy. So much so that it has become nearly sickening and grossly exaggerated. The statements of people like Barry Gordy and others who Michael Jackson was “the greatest artist the world has ever known” and “will never be anyone like him again!” Are ridiculous to the extreme and unnecessary to be comical in nature. Jackson was a fantastic showman and will have its place in American pop culture safe. He sold millions of records, was a worldwide phenomenon in his time – he had spent much of his life – and has legions of worship – and forgiveness – the fans. That does not deserve the status of “best of all time in the world” not even taking into account the emotional nature of his untimely death and the tendency of some to make statements not well thought emotion charged at a time to be a small nervous. Michael Jackson was an American success tale who lived the glamorous life style to the nth degree accumulated hundreds of millions of dollars in wealth, and was a model for other aspiring artists who want to succeed in the whimsical world of music. He entertained us and some loved his music and dance. His life was tragic, sometimes. Was fatal in the end and that is the fate of us all. That and nothing else. That Sharpton would use this tragic event as a title grabber, an attention-grabbing media and other promotions as their own selfish agenda, is filthy and disgusting, at best, at its core. The offended millions of Americans who loved and supported by Michael Jackson throughout his life and his death is sad, especially white Americans, without whose support in buying their records would not have been the phenomenon of Jackson first. And make no mistake about it – in his criticism of the media about the lack of sensitivity and lack of understanding of black culture, which is another hidden racism Sharpton accusations all those of white America. “I do not reckon the media know that Michael was”Sharpton was quoted in wire reports. “ I do not reckon (read” white boy “) has a cultural meaning.”As if Sharpton is the only truly Jackson understands and black pop culture, while the rest of us white people are insensitive and racist.Sharpton has long been a provider of the policy of “victimization” and he has refined this approach through its rise to prominence. Back in the day of his racial harassment Harlem preacherhood base when he made a complete fool of himself during the antics on and off the wall, as in the incident “Tawanna Brawley, Sharpton has made his living selling racism as black people shackled “in white America. has flourished in this approach often alienated white America.
At one time a preacher of fire, which has become a comic caricature of himself and the surface when where he sees an opportunity to promote the media there is another issue that Al Sharpton. How can we be surprised that he would appear at this time of mega reporting exposure to media, to an excess, the Death of a legend of pop to make a timely participation of the attention, controversy, fame and intend to honor Michael Jackson
