The 2010 Formula One season is just around the corner. It is a single season. With the return of all-time winner of world champion Michael Schumacher, the field will be four champions who would make a fantastic career. This is particularly right, since both are on the same computer. Let’s take a look. We must show that shows some respect to the current world champion. Yes, I speak of Jenson Button, who has surprised everyone more or less at the request of the championship in 2009 while with Brawn GP. Despite his victory, not like Brawn worked hard to maintain and quickly switched to the McLaren, which is a weird choice, given a driver who is already there – Lewis Hamilton. Most experts see it as a terrible blow, and the world champions on the grid, Button was given the slightest chance of having a excellent season. Lewis Hamilton is our second driver and addresses the number one position in McLaren, whatever the team is trying to deny it. The 2010 should be a very fascinating that Lewis has shown that it plays well with other drivers who are close to their level as the fiasco with Fernando Alonso has shown a few years ago. Polarizing things, Ron Dennis, was also perhaps the team has changed. Mercedes obviously did not have many prospects, as evidenced by the go to GP Brawn. This will be an exciting season in the McLaren camp. It could go very well, but we can not help thinking that it will become an enormous soap opera. Fernando Alonso is our third championship. After years of speculation, Spanish is now at Ferrari. It’s a party that seemed made in heaven, but he and the team have a lot to prove. Ferrari was in 2009 – down. Alonso barely skirt fiasco crashgate Nelson Piquet, Renault and its manager. It is also the year that Ferrari is really divorced years of Schumacher. Many will be watching closely to see if the team is fading terribly or raise your game. Early indications are the car and the driver are excellent, but testing of pre-season is always hard to assess. And then we came around the king. After three years in retirement, Michael Schumacher is back. It will not drive the Ferrari red, but. No, jumped on the pit lane team Brawn, where you can find his former partner in crime, Ross Brawn. The team now known as Mercedes since policymakers about the scandal mounted rescue McLaren and invest on your own computer. Is the king again? Does Jenson Lewis and sabotage each other season? Do Fernando Ferrari and reborn from the ashes to claim the championship? These questions are fascinating, but I guess most are not relevant. Why? It seems that this is the year of the energy drink. Yes, I am appealing Sebastian Vettel and Red Bull to take the championship. The king is dead. Viva the German king again!

Italian Travel Agents, Tour Operators and Holiday Planners offering vacation packages to Kenya pledged to market Kenya abroad as they feel that the country is a safe tourist holiday destination despite reports that terrorism suspect Fazul Abdallah was hiding in Malindi Kenya. In a meeting, major Safari operators from Italy and Malindi played down the terrorism threats and promised to back the Government in marketing Kenya in Europe. Internationally renowned tour operator Franco Rosso, who owns a chain of resorts hotels in Mombassa and Malindi said marketing the Kenya in Europe was a priority.

He said this was vital during this time of low bookings following the post-election violence that rocked the country in January and February 2007 and the world crunch. Another hotelier Mr Quaciari, who operates Mwembe Hotel Resort, Rosada Beach Resort is currently putting up a Sh550 million tourist beach hotel in Watamu said the investors had confidence in the country and looked forward to an expanded tourism sector.

“We support the Government’s efforts to market Kenya and Malindi in particular said the Managing Director African Safaris and Adventures, a luxury beach, honeymoon and family holidays vacations tour operator. The recent visit by the minister for Tourism Mr. Balala to Italy made awareness to Italian travel agents. We will place all our power to market Malindi,” he said. The Italian travel agents were addressing the press at Rosada Beach Resort, where Italian singer Matteo Borghi performed some of his best hits.

But, Mr Rosso, who was the first European to bring a charter flight to Mombassa in 1972, urged the Government to place up infrastructure to boost the sector in the North coast. “The Government of Kenya must give attention to the development agenda and build an international airport in Malindi. The road between Mombasa and Malindi must also be transformed and maintained because it is a basic component of tourism development,” said Mr Rosso. He said issues of insecurity must be given priority and guests assured that they are safe when they visit.

A fantastic day today as we travel from Amsterdam to Offenbach (Frankfurt) via Arnhem with it’s poignant tale of bravery and tragedy towards the end of the Second World War. Lunch in the and ancient city of Cologne with one of Europe’s largest cathedrals built over 600 years which houses the remains of the Three Wise Men. The afternoon’s highlight is a gorgeous drive along a scenic and historic section of the Rhine River to picturesque Boppard. Where we board one of the Rhine River cruise boats for a welcome drink and guided cruise up river to St Goar and the Lorely Rock.

After two nights in Amsterdam we head to Germany today. It’s a gorgeous drive through Holland via Utrecht followed by Arnhem. It was here one of the more tragic events of the latter part of the Second World War occurred when the allies failed to secure an vital bridge. The events led to a movie and is remembered by many still today for it’s tragic circumstances and acts of bravery by many. One of the commanders described the bridge as “A Bridge Too Far”.

Shortly after we arrive in the huge financial and historic city of Cologne (Koln in German). On the way there, there is an opportunity to talk about many aspects of Germany and the industrial heartland of the country we are driving through. Cologne is well-known for many things, 4711 Eau d’Cologne, the huge cathedral, and the bombing of the Second World War. Although it’s not well-known for them I always point out Berliners, a well known donut, which many take my advice to try.

As many of our travelers are from younger countries it is hard for many to conceptualize the fact that a building might have taken more than 600 years to build. We have the best chance for a photo of the church as we cross the Rhine River 5 minutes prior to arrival at it’s side. It is also incredible to reckon that after 90 % of the city was ruined by the bombing during the war the Cathedral was left virtually unscathed.

After lunch we head for Boppard. Again it’s a very fascinating and gorgeous drive. It’s always fascinating to watch people’s reactions when we arrive on one of the well-known German Autobahns that have no speed limit. Cars can reach speeds well in excess of 150 mph. Soon we arrive to Bonn and here it gives me a chance to talk about the division of Germany after the Second World War, the blockade of Berlin and the eventual re-unification of Germany.

Soon the Rhine River arrives at Koblenz and here we follow the river viewing some of its gorgeous castles which I talk about along with the well-known Rhine wine vineyards. Boppard is our destination where we board our Rhine River cruise for a cruise up river to St Goar and the Lorely Rock. Passing castles along the way it is incredible how quickly the time goes by and how relaxing that time is.

Disembarking in St Goar after seeing the Lorely Rock we stay with the fantastic river following it’s course on our way to Rhudesheim on our way to Offenbach and our hotel. Dinner is included at the hotel this evening.

There is also the life size statue of Queen Victoria placed in the central façade. Mani Bhavan: This is where Mahatma Gandhi stayed during his visits to Mumbai. His rooms have been kept intact and there is a photo exhibition of his life. It is opened daily between 9. 30 am to 6. 00 pm and the entry is free. Juhu: While India holidays Juhu in Mumbai that attracts the tourists most. It is a 5 km long beach which is fringed with coconut and palm trees. It is also a well loved picnic spot, with snack stands, toy sellers, fruit vendors, roundabout rides and fortunetellers. The beach has crowds of foreign tourists and locals enjoying fresh air or playing cricket. Crawford Market: This market is the wholesale market for flowers, fruits, vegetables, meat and fish. Our destination today is Vienna, capitol of Austria and one of the worlds most elegant cities. Our morning stop will be Salzburg home of Mozart and the powerful Prince Archbishops. Here we will meet a local guide for a walking tour around the ancient city. After checking into our hotel we will make our way to the opera house for time for dinner and a stroll around the center before our arrival at Palace Auersperg. This evening is one the most elegant of your life as we sit in a palace experiencing the greats o classical music.

Salzburg is an fascinating city for many reasons with it’s architecture, culture, location and not least it’s history. Unlike most other parts of Austria a which came under the control of the Hapsburg Emperors, Salzburg was largely independent under the Prince Archbishops. They wielded both secular and ecclesiastical power.

The most well-known of the Prince Archbishops was Wolf Dietrict, who left a magnificent legacy of building works before his imprisonment in the imposing Hohen Salzburg castle above the city.

Mozart’s birthplace, the main church. Market Square, Residence Platz and much more are highlighted on our walking tour. We end in the market behind Mozart’s birthplace where I always recommend to people to do like the locals and have a sausage in the square. My favorite is called a Kassecraner with melting pieces of cheese in the sausage. With a cassekraner, semel roll, senf (Austrian Mustard) and a beer you will automatically become Austrian.

After lunch we take a drive to Vienna which follows the Danube Valley which gives me time to talk about numerous things of interest. After an afternoon stop on the Autobahn for a coffee and perhaps a cake.

From our afternoon break it is a small distance to our hotel. Built in the mid 1800′s this is a grand ancient hotel with real character and is situated very close to Schonbrunn Palace. After time to freshen up we drive to the city center for dinner and time to stroll the main walking street down to St Stephens Cathedral.

After dinner we drive around the ring to the Palaise Auersperg and take our seats in the Grand Ball room for what would best be described as a greatest hits recital of the fantastic composers. Even if you are not a classical music fan give it a go once in your life as you can’t help be went in some way by the occasion.

An early start today for everyone and that’s usually the case when leaving London to go to the continent. We came from a number of hotels and met at the Trafalgar Tours Reception Center at Bressenden Place near Victoria. Once all together on our shuttle coach we headed for Dover to catch a ferry to Calais.

I talked a small about how the day would unfold with our journey to Holland and Amsterdam via 4 countries. With many coming from larger countries it’s hard to believe you could pass through 4 countries in one day but that is what we would do. England, France, Belgium and Holland.

A small quick talking at the docks secured us an early ferry and we quickly boarded the 9. 20 ferry saving an hour which would be useful later in Amsterdam with a stop at the hotel. The ferry’s are huge with all sorts of facilities on board and the hour thirty minutes goes very quickly and before you know it we are arriving in Calais.

This is where we met Salvatore and our coach for the tour. After loading the luggage when it came off the boat we were off to Belgium. As we travelled along the flat coastal plains of France passing quite close to Dunkirk, I talked a small about what would happen on the tour. Most were surprised when I announced we were crossing the border between France and Belgium because there is nothing there and there never has.

Into Belgium and our third country for the day I like to talk a small about this small but prosperous country. Farming, Industry, Brussels, the food, the people etc. This is where French Fries were first made so they should be called Belgium Fries and I encouraged everyone to do it the European way on our free day in Amsterdam and have them with mayonnaise.

We had a 30 minute stop at the border between Belgium and Holland for a break and to see first hand what European Service stops are like. Only an hour and thirty minutes would see us at our hotel in Amsterdam. With the time we had saved this morning we were able have a break for an hour before heading out for a welcome dinner.

This welcome dinner at the Sea Palace Restaurant is an vital night out for a number of reasons. It’s been an early start and I find the last thing most people want to do is start looking for a restaurant in a city they don’t know. I believe it’s a fantastic opportunity to sit in a gorgeous restaurant delight in a wonderful meal with a glass of wine and get to know some of the people you will be traveling for the next 19 days.

For someone reading this who has never been on a tour before 19 days may seem like a lot and for people at the beginning of the tour it probably seems like a lot as well. But I can’t tell you how quick those 19 days will go and how for most people the significance the trip will take on as friends are made and in some cases lives are changed. It is one of the reasons I like the job so much.

After dinner we took a stroll through the Red Light District. To my delight we made it to the other side with everyone still there and after a small few minutes we were at our hotel and for many a well earned early night.
