The Hungarian Grand Prix was not small on action as Vettel immediately sprinted into the lead from pole position and managed to build a 11. 7s lead ahead of the pack until the safety car was deployed on lap 15.
As soon as the Safety Car was deployed on lap 15, many cars headed straight to the pits to change tyres and re-fuel. This caused a couple of incidents in the pits. Most noticeable was Nico Rosberg’s wheel which was changed but not secured adequately, subsequently came off and luckily did not injure any of the competing mechanics and Rosberg retired as a result of this. Kubica exited his pit and clashed directly into the path of the Force India car driven by Adrian Sutilas as he was entering his pit.
Webber was one of the only front running drivers to not pit and once the safety car went into the pit lane, Webber stayed out and managed to make a 23 second lead ahead of Alonso.
Webber’s lead was helped once Vettel received a drive-through penalty for failing to keep within 10 car lengths behind the safety car.
It seems that the German, Vettel was unaware of his actions until after the race when he was fully briefed by Red Bull. He admitted in the conference to falling asleep. Whatever the case, this penalty lead to Webber making a significant lead over Ferrari driver Fernando Alonso. It seemed that although Vettel remained very close to Alonso, he was simply unable to pass him.
Although Vettel was extremely frustrated, McLaren were too with Hamilton retiring due to a transmission problem and Jenson Button had a lacklustre race finishing 8th.
Williams’ Rubens Barrichello had a lucky escape and described Schumacher’s manouvre as perilous and the worst he had ever witnessed. On Barrichello clearly had the quicker car and was looking to pass, and on lap 66 Barrichello went alongside his former team mate Schumacher on the pit straight and as Barrichello passed him the German went over on him, nearly pushing Barrichello into the pit wall. The stewards announced they will investigate this incident.
Driver’s & Constructor’s Championship
Webber was very pleased with his excellent fortune today and now leads the Driver’s Championship with 161 points ahead of Hamilton who sits on 157 points. Vettel was extremely dissappointed with the drive-through penalty and although he finished 3rd he let yet another pole slip away from him and sits 3rd in the Drivers Championship with 151 points.
In the Constructors’ stakes, Red Bull have taken the lead from Mclaren with 312 points to McLaren’s 304. Ferrari are still in contention and sit in 3rd place with 238.

Jose Alberto Mujica Cordano, also called “El Pepe”, won the presidency of Uruguay last night in the second round. In this article we will clarify why he won the election and why they went to a second ballot when they should have.
Uruguay currently has three main political parties: the white (or a national party), the Colorados and the Frente Amplio, which is English for “broad front.”
Historically, there were only the first two parties, the Blancos and Colorados. But, after a dictatorship and lack of leadership of these parties, the Frente Amplio won the elections and was born in 2005 with the candidate and now President Vázquez, serving in 2005.
Last night, Jose Mujica has won the previous elections in the second round. Since there are three political parties, a party must obtain at least 50% of votes in the first round or if a second round – second round – one month later to determine who will win the presidency. Last night was the second round and “Pepe won”, but should never have reached a second ballot.
The government of Uruguay Tabare Vazquez, under which received a fantastic amount of success, both locally and throughout South America, and now has approval ratings of over 65% . Therefore, the question arises: Why not Frente Amplio won the elections in the first round if they currently have a high approval rate?
The answer is simple and complicated. In the simplest form, the candidate was incorrect. But, the reasons he was the incorrect candidate is complex.
Many people will tell you that “Pepe” does not look or seem presidential. Others say his language is crude and that his prognosis is not back to front. All these things can be right. It is hard to imagine on the world stage with other leaders.
But the truth of why he was the incorrect candidate is much deeper.
Between 1972 and 1985, Uruguay was ruled by a dictatorship. Some say that this dictatorship was caused by selfish needs of the Colorado Party. Others, but, argue that the dictatorship was a reaction to a terrorist group called the Tuparmaros, Jose Mujica, who was a member. When the dictatorship came to power, Mujica jailed for 13 years.
Now he has returned as president.
Uruguayan people by nature are rather moderate. Therefore, the Frente Amplio was able to win the 2005 elections. They have a moderate candidate Vázquez (who is also a practicing oncologist) who shared their thoughts of progress and benevolence.
Uruguayans want more of this, most of the Frente Amplio, but they spoke of opinion in this election. Jose Mujica had very small competition in this election. The candidate from Colorado, Pedro Bordaberry, is the son of the man who started the dictatorship in Uruguay. The candidate, Blanco Alberto Lacalle, told of having stolen goods in the country when he was president from 1990-1995. And finally, with an approval rate of 65% of its ruling party, Jose Mujica should have won the first round with ease.
But he did not. The Uruguayan people, who are obliged by law to vote or pay a fine, would not allow it.
What is said in substance: We want more of that part of the Frente Amplio. We like what happens in Uruguay. But we want to place the past behind. . . both the regime and opposition to dictatorship. Let “El Pepe” On this occasion, but it is better to continue with the current approach to the future and not look back in our past unpleasant.
We hope that voters said in victory speech last night when Pepe achieving unity of all Uruguayans and the continuation of current policies of progress and benevolence.
Kevin Harvick finished first at Daytona, after an exciting career filled with injuries and constantly going forward.
Harvick was the winner of the Coke Zero 400 last weekend at Daytona International Speedway. Harvick was the most courageous rider in the competition managed to keep track of all the other runners and the struggle to take first place.
This is Harvick’s second victory at the NASCAR Sprint Cup this season. The engine of the Chevrolet Impala # 29 had his first victory in the series in the Aaron’s 499 at Talladega in April.
Harvick’s desire to continue the line led to another victory in his racing career in the most prestigious series of NASCAR. At Daytona, the pilot experienced and talented team of Richard Childress continued to work hard throughout the race.
Coke Zero 400 race was very intense. It was full of action and has been developed with many accidents on the track. The rain has been a major factor in the race.
Due to heavy rains during the weekend and the days before the race, it was not possible to qualify for the race. This gave him a huge advantage Harvick, as he was able to take in the neck without too much effort.
Harvick was pretty clear he completed in his attempt to take the lead. He sped ahead and the race was over for most of the race. He kept trying hard to avoid the many accidents in the race.
The rain was falling and the surface became very slippery. Changes in the head was common, and even the guys in front seems to be very careful. Some went to the pit lane to change tires or make minor adjustments to his racecar.
At one point, the rain was so intense that the race has been stopped by officers for more than half past one. This was the moment when the driver stopped in the pits and change tires on a wet basis. They knew that once the race restarted, he had very small time to take on the forehead.
The star again with plenty of water on the forehead. The riders pushed so hard trying to place on the best show for fans on the track.
As soon as the race returns to full speed, the incidents started. There have been many changes to the front. Harvick has been cautious and kept free of all incidents.
Some of the greatest racers had some problems in accidents. Defending champion Jimmie Johnson, Juan Pablo Montoya and some other brokers were concerned about accidents. He was trapped in the back and could not get the best places in the race.
Harvick also stayed ahead of the car, remained at the opening of spaces in front and managed to stay ahead of the runners on track in the past.
Just over the last two laps Harvick was in front of the race. There was a serious accident involving more than 20 cars. Harvick managed to stay ahead.
Harvick was in front. It was the first to reach the end line. It was closely followed by Kasey Kahne and Jeff Gordon, who finished third. With this victory, Kevin Harvick is the head of the board of directors of Sprint Cup with 2684 points.
David Reutimann, the experienced pilot of 40 years, won the LifeLock. com 400 the weekend, to close the event 19 of the current NASCAR Sprint Cup.
Reutiman took control of the road in Chicago and was able to bring home his second Sprint Cup victory of his career. His first victory in the elite division of NASCAR in 2009, when Reutimann won the Coca Cola 600 in Charlotte.
Contrary to what we experienced in the last race Sprint Cup, LifeLock. COM 400 was a clean run and well led, with very few accidents or incidents of any kind. It was nice because most drivers completed the 267 laps without risking their lives. In total, 10 different drivers have taken a go at the front of the pack, and only four yellow flags were waved throughout the race.
Reutimann was seventh on the grid. Jamie McMurray has been adopted quicker on the formation lap to win the neck.
Reutimann has not yet signed a new contract with Michael Waltrip Racing. He had a excellent season for the team. It has been honestly constant and has managed to bring his # 00 Toyota Camry with an brilliant skill. He kept his concentration throughout the race Sholes, avoiding any situation that might endanger their chances of winning the race. Once again proved to be a driver very professional and serious.
Reutimann has managed to stay close to the car for most of the leaders of the race. He was aware that his car was in excellent condition and that all he had to do was hold on and wait for other riders to make a small mistake and go forward.
Jimmie Johnson, the reigning Sprint Cup, was leading the pack during the first 94 laps. Despite the fastest car on the track, he made a mistake when driving in the pits and lost the first point. Jamie McMurray was able to pre-He managed to lead the pack during the 40 rounds.
When the race was on its knees 136th Johnson had an incident and lost control of his vehicle. When he could not get back on track which was now 24. There was very small chance of going all the way forward. To make matters worse, 60 laps later, Johnson blew on his tires and had to make his way to a new pit stop. The defending champion finished 25th in this race.
And that’s when Reutimann went forward. He was able to block Carl Edwards, but even the tenacious and perilous driver has been able to overcome. He managed all attacks until the end. Reutimann was the first driver to see the finished product, shaking dish. Edwards finished second. Jeff Gordon completed the podium.
It was a fantastic race for all the oppressed. With defending champion Johnson Road, was in a sprint to the end line. Kevin Harvick, running back leads the drivers’ championship was not so fantastic either. Sprint Cup now goes to Indianapolis for the next race on July 25.
Jamie McMurray started the 2010 season of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series with a surprising victory in the Daytona 500.
On a sunny afternoon, with a full band at Daytona International Speedway, McMurray was the perfect setting for the victory.
After a terrible season last year, McMurray had to leave Roush Fenway Racing team for their poor performance and the NASCAR rule change that allowed a maximum of four cars per team. Now with a new team, Ganassi Racing Earnhardt, McMurray can really savor their victory.
Taking the first event of the year with a new team, McMurray now might be able to focus on leaving behind the terrible times last season. He has shown fantastic potential during the race and at the same time, has demonstrated its desire to place his name on the list of best drivers of NASCAR.
Mark Martin has started from the pole at Daytona. McMurray started driving a Chevrolet Impala # 1 in the thirteenth line. From there, he stood his ground, trying to resist strong pressure from those behind him. Focus on the proximity of the leading group, McMurray tried to scale the positions whenever he had the chance.
The race was close from the beginning. For the first 100 of 200 laps scheduled, there were no problems, only three yellow flags appeared, and minor accidents.
The first position, but, was not constant. Fifteen different drivers led the race 24 times. The huge surprise was AJ Allmendinger, who has remained a leader for 11 consecutive laps.
Arriving on lap 122, the problems started to appear. Due to hurt on the track, apparently caused by heavy rains in the days before the race was stopped with a red color. Several yellow flags also appeared in the second half of the race.
The competition was held for nearly two hours for a hole in the track has been repaired. After his return to the track, the positions of various drivers. Now it was Kevin Harvick took the lead, followed by Clint Bowyer and Martin Truex Jr. These three riders contested the first place, followed by a strong group of cars has also requested a better position.
lap after lap, the excitement became more intense. When the adrenaline of all drivers was at its peak, the race was stopped again on lap 161 because of the same problem: a hole in the runway.
Restarting took nearly an hour, and there were only 32 laps to go. Again there was a fierce battle for first place and the competition once again developed with the same enthusiasm as before.
Aware that the pavement can be hurt again, the pilots struggled to make every effort to complete the challenge.
The changes in the positions started to appear. Harvick was placed in front after the second restart. Amid all the action, McMurray started to shine his way to get a first with just two laps from the end of the race.
With a brief but magnificent show talent, McMurray managed to contain the attacks of his nearest rivals, until he crossed the line first.
In the midst of an exciting career that included several car accidents, the young pilot of 25 years, Brad Keselowski, who participates in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series with Hendrick Motorsports has a fantastic opportunity to showcase their driving skills and has made to overcome all the hard situations that have arisen in the race, he left behind all his pursuers at the end of the competition, moving quickly to reach the leadership position and has managed to stay until the end line.
This is the first Sprint Cup victory of the recruit, Keselowski started her participation in this category last year, when it started in Texas in the Dickies 500. The race started very strong and I spent a few accidents which are continually forced the pilots to enter the pit area while the runway was cleared of debris, a situation that also threaten to suspend the race.
These incidents have prompted NASCAR officials to implement a system that regulates the speed of vehicles in the upcoming competitions, but it is a factor that some drivers consider negative as it could cause serious accidents if small groups in class form of cars.
This race kept the viewers attention focused on what happens with the drivers and their cars, but was overshadowed by accidents and problems on the track. The course and outcome of the race is very concerned by the seventh lap when 13 cars were involved in a bus accident, causing the yellow flag to come and change the pace of the race, slowing down while the track was clean.
When the race was restored, the fight strong, ongoing friction between the cars became more evident and the events that had happened since the track was simple to predict more accidents to come. That’s exactly what happened when there were only nine laps to end the race, another bus accident involving 10 cars this time, including Juan Pablo Montoya, Jimmie Johnson and Denny Hamlin.
Once again the rate of decrease in competition and when I rebooted, the drivers who have the adrenaline, the speed of their cars to get to the leader, trying to end the race in the best position. It was in the midst of this struggle that Brad Keselowski was able to go quickly before Ryan Newman and Dale Earnhardt Jr., until he came up behind Carl Edwards, who was at the top right now. Keselowski managed to get the first car crashed Edwards, who was ejected from the runway, struck the wall and fell on the track taken. At that time, some debris flying into the stands, but fortunately, neither assistants nor Edwards were seriously injured.
After that, speed Keselowski Chevrolet 25 deep, crossed the end line and be crowned champion of Talladega Superspeedway.
Denny Hamlin could be a challenge, Jimmie Johnson, a series title in 2010. This is the last of the NASCAR Sprint Cup this week, as recently Hamlin received his third win of the season in the Southern 500 in Darlington Showtime May 8 A few weeks after undergoing surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament, Hamlin hit his third victory in three months in the south of 500, becoming the first driver in 17 years to sweep the Darlington Raceway. Hamlin left Darlington after winning two races and national promotion of the Cup Series weekend, the championship in his way.
Demonstrate that it can be that of giving Jimmie Johnson a run for their money this year, Denny Hamlin left Darlington on a hot streak. Addressing Mlive. com after the race won after a final restart propelled him into first place, so Hamlin size increases in the Cup series he said, “Nothing has really changed. We do not beat all configurations of magic or none of it. I reckon me and does that (crew chief) Mike (Ford) five races each year to achieve our rhythm. Something happens during the two months that I ‘m out I forget what it takes to say things to make a winning car. ”
Although it uses the same ancient style of racing to push his No. 11 stock car from the center of attention this spring, Denny Hamlin could keep the trend of winning the race through the next stage of the marathon 36-race known as the NASCAR season? He is currently (as of May 12) up to sixth in the championship round of the Cup, but it certainly does not guarantee a place Denny Hamlin in the Chase at the end of the season.
Hamlin main goal of the season is yet to chase and thus qualifies for the title to Alonso and his recent win at Darlington took a step towards achieving this monumental task. After winning 500 South U.S. Today Hamlin said, “I can not tell you how excited I am earning now upon us, because I know what our team is capable of (when) we arrived in time for Chase. We kind of relief our way toward it. We did not expect to be successful. We wanted to come after Indy (July) to activate the switch and go. ”
It seems that – from now, anyway – Denny Hamlin is already in its favor. The Joe Gibbs prodigy racing 29 years has already won three races this year, including March 29 Quick Goody’s Pain Relief 500 at Martinsville, April 19th Samsung 500 at Texas Mobile and now in southern Showtime 500 in Darlington. His three victories this season to pose a series of four wins shy 2010, Jimmie Johnson, and the fate of No. 48 in the coming weeks as the NASCAR season roars.
For racing fans with tickets to NASCAR races next month, Denny Hamlin will provide the entire show in their battle for the coveted No. 1 slot in the championship. The month of May are completed for the Cup Series race at Dover (May 16) and Charlotte (May 30), and all eyes are now on Denny Hamlin, Jimmie Johnson to stop the theft of his title as champion of fifth consecutive year.

McLaren referred to Kovalainen’s incident as a pressure mechanism hurt that ruptured the vehicle’s forward left tire causing that his single-seater crashed against the wall of tires in the ninth lap. More than 10 minutes were required to clear up the trail on the racetrack due to the accident.
The Finn Kovalanien was transferred to a hospital in Barcelona by helicopter he was using a collar, although he made a signal to be well.
“(Heikki) is well”, said Ron Dennis, the McLaren general manager. “He did not suffer breaks and the neurological exams do not indicate any traumas in the head. We are optimists that he will recover completely in a few days”. Kovalainen was one of the eight drivers withdrawn by mechanical problems or accidents.
The young Britton; Lewis Hamilton seems to be getting back on track as he once again was on the podium after his win in Australian early in the year. Hamilton started the race four seconds behind Raikkonen.
This race was one of Ferrari’s simple tasks as Raikkonen did fantastic from start to end while Massa also did his part pressuring Alonso before arriving at the first curve. The competition was a right show of Ferrari’s current racing talent and at the end Raikkonen surpassed Massa for only 3. 2 seconds of advantage.
Spain’s Fernando Alonso and Britain’s Lewis Hamilton achieved first and second for McLaren in the 2007 Monaco Grand Prix.
Alonso started from pole position and achieved the fastest lap time, and for most of the 78 lap race kept a three or four second lead over team-mate Lewis Hamilton. Monaco was Alonso’s 17th Formula 1 victory.
With five races in this year’s F1 Championship now gone, Spaniard Alonso and Brit Lewis Hamilton share the lead in the drivers’ championship with 38 points each, with the next two races scheduled for Canada and the US.
In his first F1 season, Lewis Hamilton has now achieved five podium finishes from five races, extending his record winning run. And although tipped by some commentators to win this year’s Monaco GP, Alonso’s fluent driving kept him at bay throughout the race.
Fellow Brits – and Monte Carlo residents – Jensen Button and David Coulthard finished the race outside of the points and well down the field, a disappointing result particularly for previous winner Coulthard, who was on the podium to receive his third place trophy in last year’s Monaco GP.
David Coulthard is part owner of the Columbus Hotel, in the Fontvieille district of Monaco.
Robert Kubica in a BMW, who like Hamilton was making his debut at Monaco, achieved an impressive fifth position, ahead of team-mate Nick Heidfield.
Appropriately named American Scott Speed was another driver who will leave Monaco pleased, having climbed from 18th on the grid to end 9th.
The final positions were:
1. Alonso (McLaren)
2. Hamilton (McLaren)
3. Massa (Ferrari)
4. Fisichella (Renault)
5. Kubica (BMW Sauber)
6. Heidfeld (BMW Sauber)
7. Wurz (Williams)
Speaking after the race Alonso said ‘It has been a fantastic weekend, no doubt, and to score this hat trick of pole, fastest lap and win is something very special and even more here in Monaco. I loved very much today’s race, with a perfect car all through the race. It was so excellent to drive such a nice car for 78 laps and win at the end. ‘
Lewis Hamilton commented, ‘I knew we were both extremely quick, so I could only apply pressure, but he’s a two-time world champion and he doesn’t really make mistakes. ‘
The Grand Prix is 77 laps around the narrow, winding streets of Monte Carlo, making the Monaco Grand Prix the most exciting in the world, with small room for driver error.
Since the first Grand Prix on April 14 1929, organised by Monte Carlo resident and founding president of the Automobile Club de Monaco Antony Noghes, the average fastest speed has risen from 50mph (80 kph) to 88mph (143 kph).
The 2008 Monaco Grand Prix will be held on Sunday 25 May.
After facing a very hard race and overcoming all the obstacles in the race, Lewis Hamilton accomplished another victory at the Monaco Grand Prix despite the slippery conditions and an early accident. This victory gave him the advantage in the Formula One standings.
The McLaren driver, who started third on the grid, finished 3 seconds ahead of BMW Sauber’s Robert Kubica, while pole sitter Felipe Massa of Ferrari was third at Formula One’s most well-known race.
“This is going to be the highlight of my career,” Hamilton said after giving McLaren its 15th win in 26 races in the principality. “I stayed optimistic and brought it home. It was the most fun I’ve had in a race, ever. ”
During the first laps of the race the young Britton driver smashed the wall but then took advantage of the mistake Massa made while racing. Massa, starting from the pole, ran off the track 16 laps but lost the lead to Hamilton who was able to make up for the time he previously lost.
The Britton now possesses 38 points in the overall standings, three points more than the defending champion Kimi Raikkonen whose luck was not on his side as he finished in the ninth position. The Finn’s day started pretty terrible with a drive-through penalty and finished with an accident involving the Force India driver Adrian Sutil, but Raikkonen now moves to the second position. Massa is third with 34 points and Kubica next with 32.
Rain showers were intermittent as the drivers took the streets circuit. Hamilton started sandwiched between the Ferraris after moving ahead of Raikkonen on a clean start over the 20 vehicles that were competing that morning. Most drivers were nearly 20 seconds slower than Saturday’s qualifying
Additionally, for the second day on a row David Coulthard lost control of his Red Bull machine and crashed out before Toro Rosso’s Sebastien Bourdais. Six drivers retired as the 78-lap race was transformed into a clock countdown with Hamilton heading the lead to the end.
Ferrari’s driver Massa was left behind as Kubica took over passed him but things did not look very promising. “I lost the radio for like 20 laps. I couldn’t talk to the team, I just looked at the board,” Massa said. “It wasn’t simple to know what was going on in the race. ”
This was the second time Hamilton raced in wet and slippery conditions; last year he won the Japanese Grand Prix which was a very complex race due to the weather conditions. But this time in Monaco Hamilton was 17 seconds ahead at the halfway point and with the track drying out, he set another quick lap, 3 seconds better than Massa to push out his lead. The McLaren driver was clear with only the weather to worry about after a quick pit after 54 laps ; a perfect ending for a troubled tale as the standings’ board gets really fascinating.
The last Grand Prix at Monza was much more than a race, the competition delivered some of the most stunning should Formula One history as the young German driver Sebastian Vettel conquered the Italian race victory winning the People?? McLaren s favorite?? Hamilton and Ferrari s?? Massa s. It was indeed a very poor performance of the Ferrari team, especially when you consider running in his homeland. Â With only 21 years, the German driver has been in the place of Robert Kubica of BMW, for the moment. Vettel was Fernando Alonso?? S record of youngest driver to win a Grand Prix, as he was already 22 when he won in Hungary in 2003. Â It had long been the flags of Italy and Germany combined in a book could. The last time was when former Ferrari driver Michael Schumacher (who won a total of 72 wins for Ferrari) has won at Monza and now Vettel won the Grand Prix for a well-known Italian car manufacturer, Toro Rosso, while conducting vehicle Ferrari. Â When Spain’s Fernando Alonso has left McLaren team, Vettel and Nico Rosberg has been made possible prospects for new drivers?? list. It was only Vettel?? S debut recently as last year in the United States when he replaced Kubica due to a car accident in Canada, the teams reached an agreement and is part Vettel Toro Rosso. Â Before the last race, Toro Rosso became the ninth team in Formula One, followed by the classification of Force India and Super Aguri. Despite the money invested and improvements in the cars the Italian manufacturer has not yet found a means of constant development. After Monza Toro Rosso offers to sixth place with a total of 27 points. Â At Monza the landscape was a surprise, since the formation of rain in the pole position for Vettel?? S victory and benefits are for it and became the sixth different driver to win a Grand Prize at the 2008 World Championship. Â Â Vettel?? S clean driving from the start was incredible, despite having to change your tire, which becomes unstoppable Hamilton or RÃ ¶ ¤ nen Ikka had the opportunity to get on the podium on this occasion, while Felipe Massa was to the same position when he left the sixth edition. RÃ ¶ ¤ nen Ikka also encountered many problems with the tires?? temperature and was simply unable to overcome their rivals. Â Â In addition, McLaren?? Heikki Kovalainen second s had a more favorable position, but could not overcome Vettel in the rhythm or talent that the young professor of speed essentially stolen. Vettel?? S future looks very promising because it is unlikely to start receiving offers from other teams that this yearâ?? S Formula One season comes to an end and a new champion on the podium. Â
